I had summer rolls and a small cup of wonton soup with a soda…$ 9.00. That is not a good deal. The food was good… soups are usually bland but, the wonton soup was very good. This place is good in a pinch.

Do you like cheap chinese food? I do not. So take that into consideration as you read this review. This is «the best» cheap Chinese place near Gulfport. Every now and again enough time passes and I decide that what I need in life is greasy Chinese food. When that craving hits — Asian House is the place I go. The food is very greasy. Once I hit it up I can avoid again for another month, or two, or longer. The things I have ordered have always been okay. None of it has ever wowed me. It is not always what I expected either. Today I ordered a side of Veggie Low Mein, Spring Rolls, and Pad Thai. It was too much food– which is a plus– but the low mein wasn’t low mein. It was some other type of greasy noodle — I am unclear what kind. The fried spring rolls were dripping with grease. The pad thai was okay– but not special. There are several Thai restaurants with in a short drives distant that are competitive on price and provide better quality dishes. If you are after Thai food, stop now, and reset your search keywords. I have ordered other dishes here and I have never been really happy with them. I have several friends that swear by the place. One of my friends went to school in Seattle, and should know asian food, loves this place. I put this in as caveat that maybe the problem is me. I love Thai food and Japanese food — and really good Chinese food. I do not love Asian House.

Yum yum yum! Excellent food and the service was great too! Ordered orange chicken with white meat and I throw in veggies. The egg rolls were really good too. Just moved to the area and I will be back! Good to know they also deliver!

Top notch Chinese take out food. This is absolutely the best I’ve found in St. Pete thus far. *Disclaimer: Every single time I order Chinese, I ALWAYS get the same thing. General Tao’s Chicken, EXTRAEXTRA spicy with Vegetable Spring Rolls. Regardless of who I’m ordering it from, this is what I get. This dish is my absolute favorite, and China House does it right! Not only is the General Tao’s fantastic, they also have great customer service. I’ve ordered from here a few times(maybe three times in the past three months) and she knows exactly who I am as soon as I walk in the door. Very friendly employees, and great food. What more do you need?

This place is great! I ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle soup, it was fantastic! The service was friendly and attentive. This huge bowl cost me $ 10. I ate half of it & was already full. It was absolutely delicious. I already can’t wait to eat my leftovers lol

This is your typical Asian takeout place with one huge exception: they make their own egg rolls hand-made! My first job in high school in 1985 was at the only Asian restaurant in my tiny home town. My boss hand rolled the egg rolls every afternoon for that night’s dinner shift. She would roll 2 – 4 trays of them, and they were absolutely delicious. Of all the Asian places I’ve been to over the years, I haven’t seen a real homemade egg roll in decades. Most places use those gross frozen egg rolls that are the same everywhere you go. Until now. These egg rolls are the real F#%*ing deal. Fantastic. Next time I come in I’m just going to order 6 egg rolls as my meal. Seriously. Swear to God… Update, 10÷12÷15: I’m eating here now and I’ve seen 3 other people come in and order… And none of them ordered egg rolls. Total assholes… They’re missing the best thing on the menu.

I order take out from this restaurant often. I have always had good food from Asian House. One of the best Chinese restaurants I have found in the area.

They have a vegan section on their menu! It’s a nice change up from the regular New York style Chinese. We always get take out.

I stumbled across this little gem while searching for vietnamese restaurants near my doctors office one day. I called the restaurant and asked the owner for directions. She was so nice and patient on the phone asking exactly where I was so she could assist me better. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who was even more lovely in person. She took my order as I sat and waited. The Beef Phở was delicious and made to order. Their menu has all sorts of unique Asian dishes. I will frequent this spot often for sure and can’t wait to try some of their other dishes!

I came here because of the high ratings on Unilocal.I have to say this restaurant should be a 2 – 3 stars. I ordered the pork and rice and it came with a «salad» the pork looked greasy and between that and the rice there was not much flavor. The tomatoes in the salad did not look fresh. I had to ask for Sriracha because only 3 out the 7 tables had it. I also noticed they did not offer low sodium soy sauce or chop sticks. My drink was never refilled. No one asked me if my meal was ok. The menu had just had all its prices«scratched out» and increased. No WiFi which normally is not a big deal but Verizon coverage there was lacking. The music sounded like the same depressing song over and over from one tiny speaker in back corner of the place. The person who served me was friendly and the food came out relatively fast.

We drove out of our way to have dinner because the restaurant was rated so highly. The restaurant was empty when we arrived around 6:30 on a Friday evening. Not a good sign but we decided to try it, again based on the Unilocal rating. My husband ordered general Taos chicken and I had beef lo mein. The food was mediocre at best. It was not very hot when served and the portions were not nearly as large as the pictures on Unilocal. For us to be the only two in the restaurant for our entire meal, no one checked on us or gave us a second thought until it was time to pay the check. This was a once and done for us!

YES. I’ve been craving Pad Thai(GOOD Pad Thai) for about a week. I’d seen Asian House on Unilocal, and decided to finally give it a try. I got one order of chicken pad Thai to split with my mom — I will DEFINITELY be back next time I have a craving. One order filled up both of us(but I’m sure that I could easily devour it solo). Mom and I both decided that we’ll have to go try things other than pad Thai. Reasonably priced, and super close to home — can’t beat Asian House!

I have been here three times in the past month or two. I have had their combo phở, chicken pad thai, and chicken curry combination plate. Some of the menu pictures here are outdated. Most of the items are about a dollar or two more now. I’ll upload the current menu. For a fast food/takeout Asian location, I enjoyed all the dishes I have tried so far. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it’s not that bad. I probably enjoyed the combination the plate the most because you are also able to try the egg roll and fried rice. The egg roll is delicious with a crunchy exterior and actually has some protein(meat) inside it unlike most chinese egg rolls I’ve had. I feel like the pad thai is a tad expensive for the portion, but I did enjoy the flavor and the slight kick it has. The combination meat phở was also tasty, but also about a dollar or two more than what I am use to. For the best value, I feel like the combination platters win from the three types of dishes I have had, especially if you come for lunch. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try if you are looking for Veit, Chinese, or Thai food and you are in the area!

Best in class! This was a great discovery as far as fast food Asian takeout goes –this tops them all. The fact that the menu is very between Chinese Vietnamese and Thai gives you a great option. I cannot believe how busy they are with takeout and sit down orders. And with all of that activity the kitchen is hopping. The food comes out delicious on time and at a great price. I’ll be back! This is a winner

Their Vietnamese food(5 stars) is much better than their Chinese food(3 stars). Their summer rolls have the perfect starch to vegetable ratio and their peanut sauce is the best I’ve had in St. Pete. The Vietnamese food is authentic and well seasoned, worth going for alone. Their Chinese food is generic take out Chinese food, their crab rangoons are overstuffed making them a little soggy. Portions are a little smaller than other Chinese restaurants in the area. Overall, great place if you want Vietnamese food, and their Chinese food is about on par with everywhere else in the area.

I was in town visiting the family and my brother wanted to go to lunch. He found this place online and asked if I wanted to go there. A Vietnamese place on this side of town? Awesome! After being underwhelmed by the phở at Alesia, I had given up on going anywhere but Pinellas Park for good Vietnamese food. But this place had some good reviews(albeit for their Chinese food and Pad Thai), so I said let’s give it a try. The restaurant is pretty unassuming — it looks like the standard Chinese takeout places you’d find all around the US, with photos above the counter of different dishes they serve — except this one also had photos of some Vietnamese dishes and a photo of Kimchi(which I thought was funny because they don’t serve any other Korean food). We ordered: Vietnamese Summer Rolls, a bowl of Phở, and the caramelized fish in a clay pot. All three things were excellent. The rolls were pretty tasty, but it’s hard to mess up summer rolls. The phở, however, was probably the best tasting broth I’ve had in this area. It wasn’t too salty and it had good flavor. I eat a lot of phở, and this is just as good at some of the phở I get up in NoVA. In general I like to order caramelized fish in a clay pot at Vietnamese restaurants. There’s something about the sweetness of the dish that I really like. The one I had here was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. They also made sure to mention the dish contained bones(which is not a problem for me, but maybe for some people). The woman who took our orders was really friendly too. The next time I’m visiting my family I would be happy to return here for lunch or dinner. I’d definitely come back here for the phở, rather than«trek» across town to Pinellas Park. They’ve gotten good reviews for their Chinese food, so I wouldn’t mind trying that for takeout, but if I’m going to eat in, it will definitely be the Vietnamese food that I order, because what we ate was so good, and phở and fish in a clay pot are harder to do for takeout.

I was in the mood for Pad Thai today and doing some Unilocal searching I saw that this place had it on the menu, although it is not a Thai restaurant(it’s primarily Vietnamese with some Chinese and Thai noodle dishes as well). Man was it on point! One of the most delicious Pad Thai dishes I have had with big chunks of tofu and chicken and a tangy and delicious peanut sauce. I also ordered a lunch combo of general tsao chicken and it was phenomenal! The chicken was crispy, lightly breaded, and one of the best sauces I’ve ever had on general tsao’s chicken. Even the egg roll was something special. It wasn’t the typical frozen and flash fried generic egg roll, it was obviously handmade with an abundance of pork. The meat to cabbage ratio was 2⁄1 and it was great! It was a ghost town in here today, but I hope that it was just off hours I visited because I really want this place to succeed. I’m new in town and will make this a staple in my Asian food obsession!
