Taggarts Ice Cream & Grill

I love Taggarts… the ORIGINAL one in CANTON. I found this «location» on google maps and was so excited that there was a Taggarts close by. Here’s where things get weird…
I went there one afternoon to find it closed and with no business hours posted. Huh. The «phone number» listed on the sign had one too many numbers for a phone number (re: 8 digits). Also, it literally says «Taggarts Ice Cream and Grill ‘Home of the Bittner’».
So I called the Canton Taggarts location to ask about hours (the one I’ve been to over a dozen times since I was a kid) and they confirmed that there are in fact only two locations — Canton and Magnolia. This one is «not related» to them.
I don’t know what the deal is, but it appears to me that this place totally ripped off the real Taggarts’ name and slogan. ew.
