I had been wanting to go here since their opening and finally made my way there recently. I was hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed and boy oh boy I sure wasn’t. The service was decent, but the food and special is why I’m giving this place 5 stars. The joint burger is absolutely incredible and priced at $ 12(an excellent value for a burger with 4 pattys in between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches). The day I went there was also a special where you got a free beer with any burger purchase and the beer menu was quite impressive. I’d definitely make my way to The Joint if you’re a gluttonous burger fiend like me. Definitely my favorite burger I’ve had in Tally and at one of the best prices.

Just a cool local Tallahassee restaurant. The food is fantastic, free beer with your burger, and you can’t beat the prices. The perfect college town diner. Dave was our server and did a great job. I’m definitely coming back and bringing friends.

Second time coming here to get food, I love it. Small place great prices and great good. My personal favorite is the fried egg and cheese on a biscuit! Definitely going to keep coming here!

I had the Freshman 15 burger $ 9 with fries $ 2. The meat itself tastes just like a Waffle House burger(bland and slightly sour) and the egg was overcooked. The fries were okay and the service was good. My friend had the Buffalo Chicken and said it was acceptable. Paying a premium price for a subpar product makes me want to never return for a burger.

Visited The Joint for the first time today. First and foremost, being a third generation FSU grad and die hard Seminole fan I love the style of letters/logo…nice job branding yourself to FSU without infringing on trademarks or copyright. I love the pictures of FSU greats like Ernie Simms, Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke, Derrick Brooks, the great Bobby Bowden, etc in the dining room, bar and bathrooms. The restaurant is clean(especially for a Tennessee St/campus restaurant that isn’t a chain). The server, Dave, was extraordinarily attentive and pleasant. My arm is in a sling and he went out of his way to offer to unroll my silverware and even opened and poured creamers in my coffee for me. I also was unsure of what to order and he guided toward a scrambler. He was friendly, professional, and pretty knowledgeable of the menu. The coffee was good. Good flavor, nice and hot, fresh. When the food came out I was impressed with the portion size. I think I had the«farmer’s scramble» which included ham, bell peppers, melted cheddar over home fries(I opted out of the onions). It was delicious. The potatoes were piping hot and the ham was freshly sliced and had great flavor. Bell peppers had just been sauteed and the melted cheese put the finishing touch on my meal. For an extra dollar I added a fruit cup.(It came with a biscuit or toast I believe but I wanted to be healthy). The fruit cup included bananas, strawberries, red and green grapes, and kiwi! The fruit was bright in color and legit was sliced right before it hit the table! Price was around 8.99 which isn’t cheap… but in this day and age you get what you pay for and I think it’s worth paying a dollar or two more for fresh, tasty ingredients. The Joint did a really good job. Fresh, tasty, and good quality all around. Great job guys… keep it up! Tyler

Where do I begin? Although the staff is friendly, it is clear not a single person knows what they are doing. I ordered the special — literally a single-patty burger with a bun which comes with pickles, lettuce, and a tomato. I upgraded my burger by adding sautéed onions, american cheese, and a wheat bun. I had to send my burger back three times and even the fourth time I received it, it was still incorrect. It took 40 minutes to get my burger additionally. Because I had an hour for lunch, about 30 minutes before I needed to leave, I asked for the check. I ended up leaving money with a friend because I was already late from leaving. What is bothersome is the fact there were two other tables when I first placed my order. It is unacceptable to bring my the wrong burger FOURTIMES. This place serves mediocre burgers at best. Don’t waste your money or your time.

Food is very good. Breakfast all day as well as lunch, so you can’t lose. The selection is wide, but no matter what you get it hits the spot. Although the food is great, the service is horrendous. I’ve been here 3 or 4 times and somehow every server I’ve gotten is horrible. It’s definitely a trade-off. Worth it if you’re patient and can deal with rude staff.

The service was terrible — there was only one waitress and she clearly was just not cut out for it. The place wasn’t even that busy but I was there for 30 minutes before I got my food. Couldn’t get a refill on my drink for a solid 15. Even when there was only one other table, she apparently was friends with that table and decided to chat with them rather than getting my check. The food was alright, but definitely not close to good enough to justify this. I can’t say I plan on ever returning.

Food gets three stars, service gets one. Been here 3 times, first time the place was empty and everything was fine. Second was just okay. Third time was busy and the service was absent, food was cold, orders were wrong, gravy tasted like a cigarette. Its a new place so hopefully its just a new staff that will get better. But as it is, do not go here when its busy. edit: Manager was apologetic, gave us a discount

Great Atmosphere, the food was amazing. I enjoyed the BTC+C(Bacon, Tomato, Cheese +Chicken) grilled cheese sandwich! Also the price point on the food and the beer is on point. My server Chad was a delight, highly recommend this place to your friends. The place was busy and I still didn’t have to wait long on my food and they also kept up the great quality service, kudos to you guys. Keep it up guys I’ll definitely be coming back…

Do not go here unless you have 2.5 hours to wait for your food. Food was good because we were starving by the time we got it, but not worth the wait. Restaurant was not even that full. Great bonding experience because everyone in the place was miserable and hangry. Staff was somewhat rude and not accommodating.

A small place great for watching some college football on a Saturday! It’s walking distance from campus and the burgers were fresh and delicious! I got the ranch burger(highly recommend) and my friend got the notorious joint burger which was enough to feed 4 people. The staff was super nice and welcoming and I can’t wait to go back next weekend!

I simply can’t pen a review of The Joint without mentioning the absence of Atomic Coffee. This building has so much meaning to me. I practically lived here during my undergrad years. The memories, the lifelong friends I made and the atmosphere will forever leave an impact on me. In comes The Joint, a diner of sorts specializing in breakfast, burgers and beer from the same guy who owns Gumby’s Pizza right next door. Decked out in Florida State swag, The Joint is a great place for pregame, postgame or even watching the big game. I swung by for breakfast this morning. I landed on the Fiesta Scramble. A Mexican-inspired egg hash with bold flavors. It was so filling I had to take a small box to go. They also serve Lucky Goat Coffee on hand. The server was a nice kid. Although new to the serving game, he kept me entertained and filled my coffee a handful of times. I sure as hell miss Atomic. They even have the same old wooden tables from the coffee shop. But with ample booths, tables, TV’s and a rather kick-ass tap selection, I can’t find a reason not to make this a regular stop. Nostalgic as this may be for me personally, The Joint is exactly«the joint» this space was in dire need of.

Nice server(he was a student of course) but the order was all wrong and there was no offer to replace it for what I did order. Place was dead — we were the only ones in there. Biscuit was hard and not fresh, scramble was cut up pieces of sausage instead of cooked in with the eggs. Home fries were hard and tasted like they were re=heats. Coffee was best thing they had to offer. Maybe we got them on a bad day but def did not live up to the reviews I saw here — and chose based on that.

BOTTOMLINE: You can’t beat the value here! Versatile menu allowing the utmost configuration of your burger, or whatever you opt for. Expansive breakfast menu served up throughout the day. Congenial service. Our Server, David, was knowledgeable and very friendly. My burger was solid(a double with jalapeño, basil and the obligatory mayonnaise), and my hot dog(a Bronx Bomber featuring sauerkraut & deli mustard) was right outta the new Yankee Stadium(except that it was 1⁄3 the price). Wife had the«Almost Healthy Scramble»(that’s not a slight, THAT’S the name of it) which I thought was awesome, but she wasn’t thrilled about — the veggie sausage was a surprise to her whereas I marveled at its facsimile of «the real deal.» Add to this a Bacon/Egg/American Biscuit for the daughter and the expected grilled cheese for the son, and this foursome ate like champions! Lucky Goat is served here, as denoted by the proudly emblazoned Lucky Goat logo centered on the lower front door pane. Coincidentally, I was sporting my «Get Lucky» shirt and a very nice young lady came out to greet us and asked if I was from Lucky Goat. «Well, no…» I uttered. «But… I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!»(Let’s see if that clever little quip stands the test of time being understood!) Lest we forget the third part of «Breakfast Burgers & Beer», I’ll say that it was a smidgen early for me to order ale, but both draft AND canned/bottled menus are chockfull of an enthusiast’s delights. Nothing ho-hum here, and respect given to the Sunshine State.

Seriously good food with amazing service, I cant wait to go back! A cozy little dinner where students can stop by in-between classes or fans can go and enjoy memorabilia from past FSU football legends. There is plenty of sitting inside and outside for everyone to enjoy. Our server Mariah was such a delight with a vase knowledge of the menu. The food came out hot and fast. I had the Reggie deluxe which had me feeling full the whole day! I would recommend this plate to everyone because it had fried chicken, egg, bacon, cheddar, and gravy(basically everything but the kitchen sink) all for under 10 bucks!
