The nitro brew was really delicious, and the after effects were awesome — just the pick me up I was looking for. I opted for a chocolate chip cookie at the last minute and was glad I did! The café was spacious and warm, I could easily return with a book and spend a few hours — and I just may.

Great coffee! The quality of their coffee beans is very good. I really appreciate the carefully sourced, single origin, fair trade, organically grown thing. It’s not just a hyped up fad– you can really taste and feel the difference. I usually stick with a boring cup of black coffee but occasionally venture out and their baristas are great. The honey-lavender latte is amazing! I, personally, don’t love the atmosphere. It seems a little sterile for me and I don’t find the chairs super comfortable but I usually get it to go anyway. They also sell a variety of baked goods and even some packaged sushi to snack on. They sell Dreaming Cow yogurt which is the best yogurt around from the Thomasville area. I only wish they were open on Sunday-that’s a weird day for a coffee shop to be closed but I can always go to Black Dog on Sundays.

I actually can’t believe I’ve never left a review for this place until now! My boyfriend and I are nothing short of coffee obsessed and have each narrowed down our top choices in Tallahassee. RedEye is tied with another place in town for me.(P.S. It’s not a coffee shop and they’re known for organic and local goods.) I’m typically a latte type of girl with a sweet tooth so you’ll probably never catch me with a plain latte.(If you do catch me drinking a black coffee, then I highly recommend not pissing me off.) RedEye’s syrups have yet to disappoint me and I’ve had quite a few. I also enjoy the layout since you can either be somewhat secluded or surrounded by others depending where you decide to grab a seat. I’ve actually skipped classes during undergrad and came here to just hang out.(Oopsie.) Despite my resistance to religiously-affiliated businesses – I’m looking at you Chick-Fil-A, but I still love you – it’s hard for me to turn down a business that serves me a solid(insert flavor here) latte, a cortadito, AND supports humanitarian efforts globally. Don’t skip school, kids.

Best Café con Leche that I have ever had. I was in Tally visiting from Cali and was desperately looking for decent espresso drinks and found this gem of a place. Best coffee in Tally.

This is the only coffee shop that I’ve been to that was so good that I researched what kind of coffee they brew and bought a bag for myself. It’s Equal Exchange coffee. Great company! I am so impressed with this business as a whole. It is a Christian business that uses profits to make the world a better place. They have a hand in humanitarian efforts in Guatemala(medical needs) and Haiti(a trade school). After finding out all of the wonderful things this business does, it made me love it even more. Fabulous establishment! The coffee was amazing. The espresso had undertones of tobacco qualities.(Extremely smooth taste)

Overall, one of the best coffee shops in town that I seem to have overlooked for far too long. Redeye has so much to offer as both a place to hang out with friends and a spot to buckle down and get some work done. The coffee menu is extensive, serving up so much more than just the same«coffee» with the same bland flavor as you’ll find at any Starbucks. The atmosphere is a bit upscale and definitely attracts a working crowd from downtown to go along with it, but still welcomes any student with open arms. Yet, the food menu, as a café, is rather short, so be prepared to bring your own sandwich or pop into Midtown Pies or Taco Republik if you start to feel peckish after awhile.

Great local coffee shop. Pretty popular amongst the college students. I highly recommend the nitro brew if you need to wake up!

I met a client here while traveling on business. It was a Thursday morning around 10am. The place was packed but there was a table available to sit at. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte with Skim Milk. I always add a pinch of cinnamon on my lattes and it was probably one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I hate wasting so I asked for the drink to be served in a ceramic cup and they were able to do so. I liked the coffee so much I have been thinking about it all day today. :) The only con to this place is it is in a busy location with a bunch of other restaurants so there is limited parking. There is a larger lot on the other side of the building but it gets pretty packed too. Still worth it in my opinion!

This place is so good that sometimes it brings tears to my eyes, and that’s probably why it’s called RedEye. Some cry worthy items here: –The pistachio muffins –The spinach bagel –The dirty chai lattes –The cortadito –The honey lavender latte They always play a sick playlist including local artists, and my only complaint is that they’re closed Sundays because I’m selfish and want to go here EVERYDAY. It’s a great place to study(usually, just bring headphones) or go on a date(probably, I wouldn’t actually know) or just sit by yourself and people watch while you drink your coffee(I *have* experienced this one so you can trust me on it)

I think this was not around when I was at FSU but I’ve been a few times when coming back to VISIT Tallahassee. There’s a nice vibe to the place, its usually full of students and young professionals. As with most popular coffee places it can be really hard to get a seat during peak hours. Today I tried an iced Chai latte and it was awesome!

The coffee was pretty good, the employees were nice, the place was clean, and the prices were decent. On the downside, there was very minimal parking, forcing me to park across the street. The prices were a little high for the quality and size of the coffee. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, not very knowledgeable, but friendly. Coffee was ok, I ordered a breve vanilla latte and it was ok also. When I say not very knowledgeable what I mean is, I was asked after I had paid for my order if I wanted my lattes sweetened… Who doesn’t know vanilla syrup is sweet? I would not go back based on this visit.

What a great atmosphere! RedEye is a quiet place to study or meet a friend for coffee. I am enjoying RedEye’s Nitro Brew right now. It is a cold, bubbly delight. Nitro Brew is just cold brewed coffee injected with nitrogen! The unique bubbly sensation compliments the flavor of the coffee in a fascinating way. I recommend trying it out.

This Midtown gem might be the mover and shaker, place to see and be seen on a weekday morning in Tallahassee. That aspect aside, the place has great drinks. I am a fan of their iced chai lattes and they make a great café con leche. The coffee art on their hot coffees are works of barista beauty. Ask for a real, «stay to enjoy it» mug and marvel at the artistry. I admit I mourned when Bagelheads closed and Redeye was no longer the Midtown purveyor of their goods. The replacement baker is okay. The availability of sushi in the cold case has saved me from a total carbohydrate coma during many a hectic work day. The free wifi and the plethora of outlets to plug in my electronics help to lift this place above other coffeehouse locations. If I am scheduling a meeting over coffee, it is likely to be at Redeye on a weekday between the hours of 8 am and 10 am. On an given morning, you may see a state legislator, a corporate CEO, a writer, the mayor of the city, and the county sheriff — among other local luminaries. Redeye Coffee gets a top rating for friendly service, great coffee, and some of the best people watching opportunities in Tallahassee.

By far, the best Cuban coffee in Tallahassee. No question. Here’s my tip: when ordering your Cuban coffee, ask for«a double Cubano with half sugar.» The reason being is that they normally put a little too much sugar for my taste, but if you order it with«half sugar,» it’ll taste as good – or better – than the coffee at Versailles in Miami. Cuban coffee aside, this is a great place to meet someone for coffee, spend hours working using the free WiFi, or just grab something on the go. The baristas are very knowledgeable and nice, and know the regulars by name. They have a wide selection of fair trade coffee, as well as small bites to snack on. Midtown Pies, the pizza joint next door, will also deliver your pizza to Redeye if you prefer to eat it there. Redeye earns the full 5 stars because it fulfills all my requirements in a coffee shop: 1. Strong, high-quality espresso; 2. The option to make it Cuban-style(or Cubano), and it actually coming out well; 3. Fast, friendly and knowledgeable baristas; 4. Comfortable/aesthetically pleasing locale; and 5. Use of proper espresso utensils(demitasse cup and spoon).

I was asked to go and try out this new coffee thing. The Nitro Cold Brew coffee thing is big in Seattle and LA right now. I had never heard of it before and really not that big of a coffee drinker. Redeye coffee is right next door to one of the better taco restaurants in tally. I believe that they were building this place when I stopped in for a taco. now the place is sweet on the inside with a lot of room. They have a bunch of smaller tables scattered around the place. I real inviting spot for sure. The guy behind the counter was really helpful with all of my questions that I had. The coffee itself was reach out and touch strong. It really to me was thicker then normal coffee. If that’s even an explanation. It reminds me of a properly poured pinto of real Guinness. I good thicker head was formed on this cup. It is different and this place is nice.

Kick off your shoes and enjoy one of my favorite dwellings in all of Tallahassee. The contemporary coffee shop always strives to go the extra mile. The service is forever friendly. The atmosphere suits appropriately for a coffee date as much as it does for a tedious day on the job. Most importantly, the coffee tastes excellent every time. A bold, flavorful Americano does the deed for this guy. Redeye is consistent with their beverages, the atmosphere is inviting while catering to all kinds, and they even donate some of their profits to charity. The expansive space with the sizeable, glass window panels is a midtown hot spot. The college students who know good coffee will drive past campus to Redeye. Can you blame them?

Attention: Redeye serves Cuban coffee! This place was recommended to me by a friend who said it was a great place to do work or study while sipping on some tea or coffee. Yes, that’s pretty much what everybody sitting here is doing whenever I’m there so this seems more like a work place than anything else. The coffee is really good. Their menu is pretty big and they have some good free-trade coffee options. I was most impressed that they have Cuban coffee and their cortadito is excellent. They also have the option to have almond or soy milk which I love since I usually get my coffee with almond milk. Really convenient place with delicious coffee. Win-win.

I always love this place. On this occasion, I took my daughter here after our«Daddy-daughter date night» for some decaf coffee. Service was kind and drinks were spot on. I had never been there outside of daylight hours, and they had nice lighting and a good feel to the joint.
