I travel a lot for work and come to Tallahassee often, this is the cleanest hotel I’ve been in yet. Not perfect — but compared to the other choices nearby Country Inn and Suites wins hands down. Rooms are quite roomy. Others in the area are so tiny. I have not seen the bugs that others speak of in their reviews.

The one I stay was on Walden Rd., It was clean, nice and the service desk very helpful, very close to the interstate and the breakfast was more then what I expected, very good!

I saw this place and booked it on Priceline. It looked pretty good but who doesn’t on a website. The place in a whole is not bad. Clean and not major problems. The bathroom could use some updating and they did find out why you don’t paint a bathtub. The paint chips and peals off and not all at one time. But the room was in really good shape and the Wi-Fi works really good. Not like the other place I stayed in Tally. In all a descent place and if I get a good price ‘ll stay again.

This is a fleabag motel. There is no other way to sugar coat it. The hotel is currently infested with millipedes. Upon checking in, I noted how dirty the lobby, elevator and elevator door was. It was obvious that it had been at least several days since being cleaned. We started in an standard king room, and the room was filthy with dirt in the corners, dust on most surfaces and scuffed walls/furniture. While disappointed at the condition of the room, the real fun was just beginning. After being in the room for about 20 minutes, I looked down and saw a millipede walking across the floor. Not sure at what to make of it, I looked over at the bed(and noticed the semen stain on the comforter at the same time), and saw another two crawling on the floor next to the bed. It didn’t take long to see another three in the room, and we went down to request a different room. The young gentleman at the counter, did not seem all that surprised by my discovery and mentioned ‘we even sprayed the room,’ indicating that this is a known problem. So he reassigned us to a different room. Upon walking into that room, we were immediately knocked back by the smell of cigarette smoke and once again, the room wasn’t very clean. So, we requested to move to the hotel across town. They didn’t have any similar rooms available, but we were upgraded to the suite. Ok, I figured that the problems would be eliminated with a better room. They were not. We found another millipede walking across the floor in the bathroom, plus a bunch of dead ones in the corner of the bedroom. Again, there was dirt that had accumulated in the corners, on the window ledge, scuffed furniture and walls. There was a pubic hair on the wall above the shower, as well as a burnt light cover in the shower, as well as the shower head needing de-limed/decalcified. Three rooms, on three different floors, all poorly maintained and all had millipedes. To complete matters, I saw a few millipedes walking across the lobby floor upon checkout. For this being fairly newly constructed, the place is not taken care of at all. It’s filthy, infested on all four floors by millipedes and the hotel staff and management doesn’t care. Corporate management apparently doesn’t care, because they have tolerated similar conditions at other Country Inn & Suite locations. Based on other negative reviews of this location, expect a lame corporate apology to follow this comment. There are plenty of other hotels in town. I suggest you go to those where people actually care about their hotel.

Terrible. We checked in at almost midnight– been on the road 12 hours with two kids. We pulled back the covers to find hair in the bed. I called front desk and they brought us new covers but made US change the sheets!!! We found more hair on the towels in the bathroom. There was a roach on the floor. The entire place smelled like cigarette smoke. Our room was not clean. For the money we spent I expected at least a clean comfortable bed. Our stay was awful. We will not be back. Do not stay here. There are plenty of other places to go!

This is the nicest hotel in the area. We have stayed at several of the surrounding hotels and have not been very happy. We are in this area 4 times a year. We were pleasantly surprised walking into this hotel. Every area was clean — lobby, room, pool area, and breakfast area. The breakfast area had several tables, so we had room to sit. A flat screen tv is on the wall. Breakfast consisted of 4 cold cereals, grits, oatmeal, sausage, egg, french toast, biscuit, waffles, fresh fruit, 3 different juices, tea, coffee, milk, yogurt, rolls, toast… The lady in charge of this area was extremely friendly and helpful. Place was spic and span. Real flatware and dishes, not plastic! Our room was roomy and clean and beds were comfortable and updated. Hi def flat screen tv, intenet that worked well, frig and microwave discretely placed in furniture. There were plenty of restaurants within a very short drive. The surrounding area is not great. I wouldn’t go for a walk. The only problem I see is the pool is not heated. It is an outdoor pool, but has a roof over it so it does not receive sun to heat it. It was nice and clean, but too cold for us. Staff was friendly and professional. We were there 2 days and saw different people at the front desk and all were pleasant. Lobby has a fireplace and seating if you want to relax outside your room. Even had several books on the bookshelves. Coffee and tea and cookies and newspapers in the lobby 24⁄7. This hotel is entirely smoke and pet free. Important to us, because we travel with a child with severe allergies to pets. We won’t hunt anymore for a hotel. This will be our go-to place to stay.

This is a nice hotel in a convenient location. Just off of I-10 and an easy drive to FSU and downtown. Lots of restaurants, a mall and the Trousdale Aquatic Center are nearby. The area surrounding the hotel is not very pretty. Probably not well suited for jogging. The hotel looks new. Rooms are spacious and clean and beds are comfortable. Our room had a hi-def flat screen TV. Wifi was free. I had a strong wifi signal and good performance during our stay. Our room also had a nice desk, comfortable office chair, microwave and mini fridge. Bathroom was roomy and there was plenty of hot water for your shower. In October 2010 they had two disappointing problems. 1. No premium cable channels like CNN and HBO due to a problem between the hotel and Comcast. The hotel staff expected to have this problem resolved within a few days. I think they are switching to a satellite cable provider. 2. Indoor pool was closed due to a mechanical problem. If these are important to you then call the hotel to verify that they have been fixed. Make sure to put your Goldpointsplus number in your reservation. They have good promotions.
