Hotel is a dump! AC barely worked, tried to complain to front desk and clerk threatened to have us removed at 11:00 pm. Never again.

The Hotel was clean and modern, but I gave 3 stars because the a WiFi sucks, if you go for a Business trip my advised is to book somewhere else, we were staying in the 2nd floor and there was no internet, I called the front desk and complaint many times and they said that it was the router. I was a little disappointed but everything else was good. The breakfast was good and the beds were good and comfortable, the young guy in the front desk that works in the afternoon was very nice and professional!

Most of the reviews for this Comfort Suites are pretty old so I felt like I was gambling when I booked here. I had a great experience, and I would stay again. I was coming to visit FSU for just one night in January. It was fairly quiet, and I had a good visit. I got into Tallahassee early in the morning. As I had nowhere to go, I ended up at the hotel asking to check in at 11:00AM. They were pretty empty the night before, and the guy at the desk was happy to check me in. Apparently, many of the rooms needed cleaned so a standard king wasn’t available. I was upgraded at no additional cost to a King Suite. Nice touch. The guy at the front desk the morning I checked in and out was very friendly and helpful. Looking at my confirmation, it looks like his initials are RK. Standard choice hotels décor, but the actual room was nice. Not particularly large for a suite but a nice size. Clean with a decent number of tv channels. The employees at this hotel were beyond friendly. All of the cleaning people said hi to me as I walked through. Maybe that’s just the south, though. Decent hot breakfast. There were eggs and sausage in a heated catering dish. They were more like lukewarm, but decent. There were also breads, danishes, muffins, etc. There is a bus stop a few hundred feet from the hotel. It was $ 2 to ride Tallahassee’s public transit, and it was an easy way to get to FSU fairly quickly. I chose this hotel because it is on a major roadway through Tallahassee. There were tons of food options just across the street. Mostly chains but a few local places. Nice if you don’t have a car. They were re-sealing the the parking lot while I was there, but there were NOSIGN. As they were on the other side of the lot, I walked straight through it in brand new flats. Annoying. Post signs. Make sure to check in on the Unilocal app to get an additional 10% off of your room.

All in all, pretty good. Overall, well maintained and cleanliness in the hotel was 5 stars Free breakfast was also great(includes eggs, sausage or bacon, fresh fruit, DIY waffles, cereals hot-and-cold, muffins, bagels, toast, juices, tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and yogurt) Service was generally good. It was a gorgeous cool week while we were there so we didn’t notice that the air conditioner in our room wasn’t working, until the last couple days. We really didn’t mind as it was perfect weather and the room was fairly comfortable. We were so busy, we forgot to mention it to the front desk until we were leaving. The guy at the front desk«Rodney» was unconcerned. I think if we had told them sooner, it would have been resolved quickly. Lastly, the rooms are reasonably priced, but these are small as far as «suites» go. It is one room with a partial half wall divider and feels tight compared to most suites. Love seat size sofa, side table, coffee table, desk and chair, large TV table(can sit a suitcase on it as well) and generous armoire for your stuff. Restroom is contains the only sink. The king bed was very comfortable with a generous selection of pillows. We were here for over a week and did not hear any of the noise/loud music that the other reviewer referred to. We would surely stay here again.

Note to self: don’t believe everything you read. I was in Tallahassee recently on business and needed to stay overnight. I booked a room at the Comfort Suites based on rave — and I do mean rave — reviews on several other review sites(not this one; apparently, there aren’t many Unilocalers in Tallahassee. Go figure). It was pretty bad. The décor is circa late 70’s/early 80’s. The bathroom was tiny. The internet was down for an hour or two(although, to their credit, they got it up and running the same night that I brought the problem to their attention — and I discovered that it wasn’t working at probably 11 pm). Even worse, there is apparently a club of some kind not far away that closes at 2 a.m., and its patrons like to sit around in the parking lot with their cars open and their kickboxes BLARING for an hour or so after they leave the club(this is what the guy at the front desk told me after I called downstairs to ask what was going on in the parking lot). It sounded like the bass was thumping right outside my window. This was a Wednesday night. Also, I requested late checkout, and the best they could do for me was 12:30 pm. That surprised me — is this hotel really so popular that they can’t do what seems to be the standard 1 pm late checkout? And even though they agreed to give me the 12:30 checkout, my phone rang at 12:00 on the dot — it was the front desk, asking when I was going to check out(once he realized he’d given me late checkout, he did apologize profusely and very sweetly). However, a few minutes later, housekeeping knocked loudly on the door(despite the«Do Not Disturb» sign). When I opened the door, she also asked me if I was going to check out. While I didn’t mind that much, it didn’t exactly make me feel welcome, either. On the plus side, it’s cheap($ 89/night for a king suite w/sofa, fridge and microwave the night I was there). They serve a free breakfast(which I didn’t try, so I can’t comment on it). The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The high-speed internet(both wired and wi-fi) is free(when it’s working). And the service was truly outstanding — like I said, they got the internet up and running in the middle of the night, and they were always very nice and very patient with my requests or complaints. They have a business center where you can use the internet or print documents for free(although the printer jammed every third page). Oddly enough, and this may be a benefit or not depending on who you are, they also have a _computer_in every single room. This was kind of a pain for me because I had my own laptop and the computer took up the whole desk, but I could see it being nice for families or somebody who wouldn’t normally travel with a computer. I’ve never seen a hotel with computers in every room before. Truth be told, I’ve stayed in worse hotels. The service, despite the glitches, almost saved the day. Would I stay here again if I had the choice? Probably not.
