My fiancé was looking for winter boots after his regular tennis sneakers got soaked. We went here to find a modest but carefully curated selection of Merrill snow and hiking boots. The staff was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The prices are right too (compared to Amazon). We left with a great pair of Merrills that will last for many years.
I highly recommend this place :)

I wandered in here during my recent Tahoe getaway with the two girls in tow. And I got so lucky! They had beautiful handbags, including a perfect charcoal gray bag with a pink lining that I immediately purchased. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw them: the Clarks shoes I’ve been searching everywhere for. In black. In my size. A woman behind me asked to try the same pair on but luckily we were able to persuade her that brown suited her better. I walked out $ 200 lighter in the wallet but feeling like I’d won the lotto. The staff was so nice, even when the girls were fondling the jewelry. It was a perfect shopping experience.

This store has been in business by the same local husband and wife team for over 20 years! I use to shop here all the time but since they added their other store in Truckee, we stop there as we go to Reno or camping in the Lakes Basin area. This store carries beautiful, quality shoes and clothing. Great assortment of hats in case you forgot yours and it’s «another beautiful day at the lake.» There is a sense of calm and serenity as you shop here. Owners Janice and Dan Copeland and their sales help are outstanding. I always recommend this store to everyone I hear going to Lake Tahoe!
