Well, after searching online for what seemed to be forEVER, my fiancé and I finally came across a photographer that not only had the vision we did, but was also affordable. We excitedly checked out her web page/blog and were even more impressed by her work. As we looked through her online portfolio, we did seem to notice that some of her images seemed to be out of focus. Being that it concerned us a bit, we decided to email her and find out what kind of camera she used, as we weren’t sure if it was the camera. the lighting, or her that was causing the blurry photos. We sent a very casual email and this is the response we received: Hi brian, I highly doubt I am talking with a ‘fellow photographer’ as you have no idea how to speak to one without insulting the sharpness of my photos? I shoot with a canon 7d, a few of them. Good luck finding a photographer, you know it all. Can I ask what type of camera you are using to shoot the wedding? We really like the vision you have but have a few concerns on the sharpness of some of the photos. Since we are looking for candid shots mostly, it’s essential that we capture the moment on the first shot/try. Do you also have any references that you could provide? Thanks! Brian & Steph Needless to say, her professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. We really liked her work, but we won’t be using her for obvious reasons.
