A corporate name but a small business feel. The staff here really cares about their customers and crank out the tastiest coffee in Tacoma. Try the cold brew sweetened with condensed milk whipped up by the Saturday crew. Good coffee served by friendly people makes the weekend that much better!

Cute corner location. Lots of space to work, read study if you’re looking to do so. Staff is always very friendly, and this locations always has tons of pastry and fruit options.

In general, I’m a fan of Tully’s. I miss being able to go to the one across the street from my old apartment, and we were closer to this one and thirsty… So. Location-wise, this is easy to get to with two entrances. It’s acoustically a bit funky and can be hard to hear in the triangular ordering area. Although, I must say, the fact that this shop does host local music is pretty rad. They now serve coconut milk which is great, as I prefer that to almond or soy. They have a variety of smoothies and shakes to choose from as well(my son had a mango smoothie, and it was quite tasty).

I was just at Tully’s on Broadway in Tacoma. When I said you got my coffee wrong the server said you didn’t order that. Didn’t offer to correct her mistake. WTFWON’T BEGOINGBACK.

My husband and I stopped in at this Tully’s location as we were exploring Tacoma. We got to chatting with the barista and we told her we just moved into the area. She asked what sort of interests we had and then gave us a great list of local places to check out. She was super friendly and it was so nice of her to give us a list of suggestions after finding out what we were interested in. This location is also neat because the building sits on a intersection in such a way that the building comes to a point. If you can get the seats that are in that«point» you can do some great people watching of those passing by. I would comment on the coffee, but it’s pretty standard and the drinks we ordered were not«difficult» ones. The highlights of our visit were chatting with the barista, learning of new places to check out, and people watching.

My girlfriend and I frequent this place for our coffee dates. The service is always good, people are usually cheerful and helpful. I just miss Grounds For Coffee, and the jazz piano nights on Saturdays. It was a special place.

I wish this were still the independently owned local café Grounds for Coffee, which used to occupy this space. Chain store cafes are so saccharine. That said, this is better than most. Its always clean, the staff are very friendly, the store manager is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet– he interacts with the customers frequently and is very charming, cute and responsive to input. Did I mention that he’s cute? Anyway, the layout is nice, it’s in a neat old building downtown, right next to the Silverstone, with outdoor seating and plenty of windows, a baby grand piano, a meeting room and an elegant staircase. Everything is oak and brass and marble inside. It’s beautiful. And the store manager is ridiculously cute. He really is.

Tully’s Coffee is a good place for a great cup of coffee or a latte. It is especially neat for it’s location — an historic corner building with lots of character. It’s a wedge-shaped building that’s surprisingly spacious, with a good-sized downstairs lobby as well as a smaller upper room. If you’re in downtown Tacoma, it’s worth’s visit!

This Tully’s has great space. There is a special room upstairs that can be reserved, which is wicked awesome. The entire space, though, is really dated and could use some sprucing up. The drinks and food were great, but the space felt dingy and old. A little updating could help bring some new life.

I live up the street so I come here often, and I’m satisfied every visit. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee is always great. There is also a lot of seating and tables and a good atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite places in downtown Tacoma to have meetings. There’s enough space to sit and have a calm conversation but not too quiet where other people can hear your conversation. It’s a really welcoming atmosphere and they make the drinks. I’ve had nothing but good customer service from here. One time they made my drink wrong and they made it for free in order to substitute for it. Totally worth going to if you have a meeting you and need a quiet place to sit.

I somehow seem to find myself here quite a lot. It has a calmer atmosphere than Starbucks, and better coffee too. The staff is quite polite and very efficient. Their pre prepared food makes a great snack on the go! There is no shortage of windows, so the place is always filled with light! Not to mention the staff are almost always striking up friendly conversations, and working with smiles on their faces!

Wandering our downtown Tacoma before a meeting, I found this Tully’s to pop into for a bit to kill time and attack some emails. I placed an order for tea and then asked about their restroom policy. A gal pointed to the bathrooms but didn’t mention to me that you need a key to get access. So I walk there and then end up walking back to ask for said key. What’s even stranger is that there is just one key and it’s for both the men’s and women’s room. So if someone is occupying the men’s room, you have to wait till their done to use the women’s room. Maybe there were previously two keys at one point but as I sat there waiting and waiting I thought this was a really odd policy. Finally a man came out of the men’s room and I followed him to get the key from the barista and make sure that I wasn’t crazy and that there was just one key for both bathrooms. Fortunately that’s the only real snafu here. The bathroom was clean, the store is large and has plenty of seating for single people or groups. I opted for a cozy arm chair in the back and used their free WIFI while I sipped on my tea. Super convenient spot to co-work from or to meet with friends downtown.

I have been here a few times now and although all I get is black coffee the service has been quick and friendly. My wife and kids gets some snacks and I have tried them and they have tasted good. The banana bread was moist and quite tasty. There is indoor as well as some outdoor seating. They do offer free WiFi as well.

I have been to other Tully’s coffee places and had a great experience — but not tonight. If you follow my coffee reviews — you will note that I like my Almond Mocha in a cup — not paper. This is NOT a drive through place but a sit down and enjoy it — lets go back to being civilized and enjoying a CUP of coffee. Personally I believe using paper is the lazy way. Also — I think a 4 or 5 star place will not only give you a coffee in a cup but the barista will put a simple decoration on it. A cheap joint does — well what Tully’s did. NOTE — where are the«green people» putting cups in the dump is just making more garbage. Also — seating — there was no seats available although there is room for chairs. Again the attitude — give us your money and leave — OK we did.

I moved to Tacoma from a college town in Colorado and there were lots of coffee shops there. I felt very fortunate for the wide variety of coffee there… That is until I moved to Washington! There are so many more choices! I know Seattle has the reputation for having three coffee shops on one block but(oh my gosh) Tacoma is not caught lying down with an abundance of coffee shops either! Tully’s is a chain. The first coffee shop chain since I set foot here as near as I can tell. I went here on a not so quiet Sunday afternoon and got me some lunch here. What I had: I had their chicken chipotle sandwich. While it did not have a lot of veggies or garnishes on it it was still tasty. I had an oatmeal lemon bar, the first I had of such a bar ever. I enjoyed it as well! I had a chai latte which went down nice and smooth! While I enjoyed Tully’s and will go back I think I will frequent independent and local coffee shops here in town more. After moving I have renewed hope of supporting local businesses!

Really not that impressed. For being in the Seattle — Tacoma area I really expected more. The seating area is not all that great, and the staff was just so-so. I would skip this and stick with Starbucks.

Had no caffeine on my way out to the west coast from Virginia — so by the time I checked into my hotel in Tacoma — I was in desperate need of caffeine. Found Tully’s on Unilocal and so made my way over. Tully’s is a cool coffee shop — has a bit of a retro, old-school feel to it, lots of internal seating. Ordered a quad shot iced latte with whole milk. Drink was strong and delicious and hit the spot! My brain cells certainly needed it!

Iced tea = tea that is iced. It does not mean«a cup filled entirely with ice and a splash of tea, which is what I received. After getting my order, I made it halfway down the block and all of a sudden, I couldn’t suck anything more up my straw. I looked down at my hand. I saw a cup of ice cubes. And I felt a wave of disappointment. I swear, I’m only making a big deal about this because the iced tea also cost about $ 3. Two stars only because the peanut butter cookie I bought rocked my socks off. But not enough to make up for my cup of ice. Photo included of the sad, sad cup.
