Real Nails

Great job on nails and toes. Lots of new polishes and shellacs. The salon was recently bought by a new owner and the customer service is great.

Had a shellac manicure that lasted less than 2 weeks. I went in and had only a manicure because they did not have pale pink polish in the shellac color. She did a terrible job, one of my nails still had a speck of the original red shellac. She didn’t do a very good job on my cuticles either. And $ 20 for a manicure… what a rip off! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Let me just start this review with the fact that I absolutely DREAD getting my nails done because it’s always a long drawn out battle to tell someone what I want and then they proceed to take 3 hours to do a mani/​pedi. I have stuff to do! I don’t want to be at the nail salon ALL DAY. Needless to say, I’ve been to quite a few nail salons in Tacoma with negative experiences.
I decided on a whim to try Real Nails and it was the best decision ever. I am so sad I am moving to LA because I would have most certainly came back! My nail tech was Deena and she was wonderful. Polite, funny, and let me relax (not a huge fan of someone trying to talk my ear off.) It look about an hour and a half, but this time was different– I didn’t mind. Deena gave me such a great manicure and pedicure that I can’t stop bragging about my nails!
I think the factor that stood out to me the most was that the other women in the salon (customers) knew the nail tech’s and they chat about each other’s families. Repeat customers are a good sign that a place is doing something right and Real Nails certainly is!

This place was TERRIBLE! The lady had The worst customer service I have ever experienced. She was on the phone when we came in (not a business call) and stayed on the phone the entire time! When one call ended she would hang up and call someone else or answer another phone call. They seemed impatient and as if they wanted an empty shop again. Not recommended.

This is the worst nail place ever. I tried it once and then thought I would give it another shot. I like to get my nails done as a reverse fill white and pink powder. The woman put on white tips and the white powder over it, then put the pink over the entire nail including the white part. They do not have you wash your hands once they are done shaping and filing and my nails were not shaped they were lumpy and flat. DO NOT GO HERE they do not know what they are doing. Obviously this is why there is NEVER anyone in their salon.
