Papa John’s Pizza

For such a steep delivery fee ($ 3.95), you’d think this Papa John’s could afford proper help. I’ve ordered from here twice. The first time, the pizza arrived cold, and since the delivery driver forgot the soda, it ended up taking 1.5 hours to get my full order. I tried ordering from this location again and this time not only was the pizza lukewarm once it finally came, but the driver helped themselves to an additional $ 2.50 fraudulent tip on our credit card on top of the one I paid in cash. I almost didn’t catch it on my monthly statement. I called the store immediately and spoke to a manager who apologized, but said that since the transaction had posted, there was nothing they could do except offer $ 2.50 off a future order. Uhhh, I don’t think so. Not only will I not order from here again, but I now have the pleasure of opening up a credit card dispute over what should have been a painless Friday night dinner.

Placed an on-​line order wanted it delivered to a my nieces house who just came home from the hospital with her newborn. I was heading over and wanted to have dinner there. WELL PAPA JOHNS SCREWED THAT UP! Over an hour later no phone, no email and NO PIZZA! After calling and being on hold for over 6 minutes finally talked to someone whom really didn’t care that our order wasn’t even started or no one contacted us, too it off NO MANAGEMENT WAS AVAILABLE TO TALK. Worst service

I ordered online and did not receive the complete order. The delivery guy assured he would «credit my account» for the missing part of the order for next time. I said that was fine. I then ordered a pizza a month later (tonight) and there was no «credit» on my account anywhere. I called the store to remind them and the guy on the phone assured me he would add the items in question. When the pizza delivered the items were not included. I called again and they stated the guy would return with the items. He never showed up.
This is an incompetent way of running a business. I won’t be giving them my business again.

I love papa johns pizza and breadsticks, this specific location is small and most of the time great. No real complaints. I don’t get why people are rating papa johns as a company for this specific store. But whatever. It’s super close to my house so it’s great.

My hands are not that big. In fact they are on the small/​skinny side. (It’s a bad angle, ok?) .This comes from years of piano lessons.

Anywhooooo, these strips are tiny. I opened the box and LAUGHED. (The pic w/​the box — I had to hold the camera steady as I shook with laughter — and then anger that I got ripped off.)
OH AND
They sell a 20oz soda that looks like a 2-​liter on their website. They trick you for $ 1.99.
Their delivery charge is $ 3.50, no matter how close you live.

And yet he creates such crappy food and publicly declares punishment on his customers with price increases so PJ’s can afford to offer his full-​time employees health care. *woman eye roll*

As good as it gets for a pizza chain. I do not usually dabble with pizza chains such as Papa Johns as I like the off beat hole in the wall kind of places. Time was not on our side so Papa Johns it was.
A afternoon on the couch lead to rumbling stomachs and we needed a quick fix. I placed my order online it was easy, fast, and hassle free. A bit bummed I didn’t have the interactive time line that Domino’s has. I like knowing when my pizza is on it’s way to me (It’s a control issue.)
After only 20 minutes there was that wonderful knock at my front door. PIZZA’S HERE!!! Surprised by the speedy delivery I opened the door and was greeted by Wally (the PJ delivery guy.) Wally was very welcoming, friendly, and even kept my ranch in a separate bag so it was not warmed in the box by the pizza. I was OVERLY impressed with Wally’s service. I wish I had more cash handy for a larger tip!
Now about the food. We ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue and one of my favs pepperoni and pineapple. The pizza was the SH*T every bite right down to the crust which we of course dipped in the garlic buttery goodness they provide.
If you are ordering from a pizza chain I would highly recommend this one and you should see if Wally can be the one to deliver your pizza.

I confess, Papa John’s used to be my go to place when it came to fast food pizza, but while the other two chains (Pizza Hut and Dominos) have upped their game by adding tons of new stuff to their menus (i.e. Wingstreet and Tuscani Pastas for the Hut and the breadbowl pastas and oven baked sammies for Dominos), it seems that Papa Johns has remained stagnant. I do still enjoy their pizza and have no complaints about the crusts or toppings they use, but frankly, I am bored with them.
If it is a must, I would recommend the spinach alfredo chicken and tomato, which is pretty much spot on every time, or as Misty brought up many moons ago, the Tuscan six cheese. They are very good and the location is really nice for a pick-​up to avoid delivery charges (especially if you’re a student at UPS).

It’s the best chain pizza I can find and the service here is always great, not to mention the delivery guy can actually FIND my house. It’s amazing. Smiles all around, even though I know that their job can be pretty crappy.
The only thing I can possibly gripe about is that even when I order my seasoning shakers and pay for them, they’re often forgotten. Not a big deal when I pick up my pizza because they usually just give me a handful, but when I get delivery they’re usually MIA. Kinda sucks when I’m chasing the delivery guy down the hill outside of my house after the fact going «PLEASE!!! I JUST WANT SOME CRACK *er* I mean SPECIAL SEASONING!!!»
