Great, simple foods! Also, amongst the beverages I enjoy having the great(loose leaf, chai) tea and coffee choices — with delicious dairy alternatives to change up flavors too is a nice add. Having the cold beer choices on tap is awesome, especially when doing the pizza thing. Nevertheless most of the entrees there would be spectacular with a cold pint of beer. I’m a returning customer having been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and have always had pretty great food. On a nice day, the outdoor seating is nice for some sun and it’s always a great time when you have a dog-friendly business owner so that your 4-legged friends can join the party. The breakfast sandwiches and veggie sandwiches are by far my favorites — the cheeses, the fresh baked bread, fresh herbs make the difference. Staff is pretty friendly, some people are much more personal and friendly than others; however, this is as with many other businesses/restaurants. I still highly recommend you check them out. One downfall, is that there is primarily street parking, but we’re in the city, I know; so all in all I don’t mind this when I need a Paesan fix.

We had the pear gorgonzola with Gluten free crust and it was so good I don’t remember what my husband ordered. The service was a bit alow seeing that we were there on a Monday at 2pm and the only people in the place. But the pizza wa Amazing. Perfect ingredient distribution with bursts of flavor in each bite. Soft yet crunchy crust. Well worth navigating to downtown Tacoma!

Second time at this restaurant/café. The food has been good both times. Though both had a little bit of a kick to it. Even with a low spice tolerance, the food was well worth it. There is a decent selection of drinks. Havnt tried even half of them yet.

Used to be awesome but it’s slipped. Arugula on the pizza was half rotten. Just sad !! Worse is the waitress can see my bread plate with the the picked off rotten arugula and she says nothing!!! Service was snotty and rude. Waitress was dressed like a complete slob in a yoga tank meant to be worn with a yoga top under it but nope she just has a black bra on and everything was hanging out. Worst service I have had in Tacoma. too bad i used to LOVE this place wont be back

Ordered the Italian grinder and it was delicious and meaty as all-get-out. Good sauce on it too, but I couldn’t place it. Some kind of aioli, I think. The iced latte was outstanding, and I found out they serve Bluebeard Coffee, a local favorite. The atmosphere is nice, if a little bit small and it can get noisy, but overall, I was happy with the food, service and feel of the place.

The pizza and calzones here are delicious. We’ve never eaten on-site but have been stopping here at least once every few weeks to grab pizzas to go for weeknight dinners. I recommend the brute calzone and the salami pizza!

I live within walking distance and was hoping for a cool hang out close by. But, good food, poor service, understaffed, employee lack of knowledge, to bad!

A very nice location and friendly people. The menu is also great. My complaint is that it is not very clean. I got sick after eating there last year and my son-in-law also did as well. Tables not cleaned, furniture cushions torn, bathroom is filthy, especially the floor. Really a turnoff. I hope the owners will clean it up as it could be such a perfect place especially since new condos are being built nearby. I’m pulling for them to wake up before it’s too late.

Terrible service. Takes forever to get your food even when the place was empty. Parking on a Sunday was a pain!

Came here looking for The Social, and found perhaps something better. Ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza and the cheesecake. Both were delicious! The pizza was fresh, delectable, and extra tasty. The cheesecake was excellent — not too sweet.

We really enjoyed the food. Great chicken pesto pizza– even the zucchini on the pizza had fresh delicious flavor. The waitress recommend a calzone which was also delicious. The service as others have commented was nothing to rave about, a bit gruff but not bad. Would 100% go again

I’ve read several of the reviews and see a few common themes: the food is good, but the service needs improvement. I would agree. My food was delicious, but the waitress seemed annoyed and just wasn’t very friendly. No greeting when I walked in, and when I said thanks on my way out.silence. My salad also came without dressing. I had ordered it as a side and completely forgot to pick a dressing, but when placing my order I would’ve expected to be asked which dressing I want? Anyway, it could’ve just been a one time thing, so I’m really hoping next time will be better!

Here’s how it went… walked in… stood awkwardly at the counter. Finally I flagged down a… waitress?(I’m still not sure if she was a waitress or not). I asked if I was supposed to seat myself or what. Yes, if you’re wondering… your seat yourself. So I sat. And sat. I sat for 15 minutes before this bro was putting out candles asked if I had been helped. «Naw, man», I stated in a someone stern tone — hopes high that things would speed up. He leisurely finished putting out his candles, brought me a menu, and vanished. Another 15 minutes later — hungry and annoyed beyond belief — I figured it was a lost cause. I drank my water and excused myself from the establishment. If an option for zero stars was available I would’ve chosen it.

We were touring the glass museum nearby and the staff working the furnaces were on break for lunch so we decided to do the same! The restaurant was just a short walk from the museum, location was great for our needs. We were greeted nicely by the staff, and the food came out timely given that everything appeared to be freshly made. The food was delicious! We ordered the baked ziti, and two different kinds of pizza. My son can be a picky eater but he loved every bite! If you’re wanting a quick bite to eat I think you can order a sandwich or some baked goods, the espresso was also on point. Overall we loved it and would definitely stop by again while we’re in the area.

I ordered the Fire-Baked Oysters. They were a bit tasteless and dry. Then I ordered the Meatballs and Gnocchi. Waited a half an hour in a half-filled restauarant. The waitress spilled a glass of water on the patrons next to us during my wait. Uhg! After that long wait I ate some dry gnocchi. Tasted like dry, fried cornballs. I will not return. F

This is a cozy spot with nice casual atmosphere, and the pizza was delicious. On the down side, it was over an hour between when we arrived and when our food did, with 2 pizzas finally coming out 5 minutes before everything else.(Fortunately, these 2 were for the kids in our party.) The gluten-free member of our party ordered a salad, which was tasty enough but was portioned like a side salad. Service was indifferent – little checking in, no mention of the long wait. Too bad! Our first visit will probably be our last.

I was busy pounding the pavement in downtown Tacoma looking for work which wound up being a successful effort! I did need some sustenance however after the interview and so I walked down to Paesan. It is a restaurant that specializes in Italian cuisine. Despite all the exercise I was doing I still just wanted something light to eat. I got some bread with oil as an appetizer and a spinach salad. The salad was excellent! It was rejuvenating and had a great dressing to it! I also got a hot Chai Tea which hit the spot! Their more robust entrees look promising so I will need to make a return trip!
