I get that this is a smaller gym but giving it 3 stars because 1. The music is so loud it’s hard to communicate and also hard to hear your own music in your headphones, which they were playing that death metal which is so not my thing. 2. No dressing rooms or lockers, one bathroom only 3. They only have like two cardio machines, and I like to do cardio after weights. Other than that it’s ok, like I said just a smaller gym so equipment is limited.

My first day was yesterday. It was rough!(I’m 60) but I can work through this. I love the gym! The people and trainers are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone who’s interested in getting fit to come here. One of the other reviews said«it’s old school» and that’s what I like. I’m glad I found this gym. I’ve wanted to get into shape for years now but didn’t want to join these other prissy gyms. I can’t say enough about it. If I could give it more than 5 Stars I would!!!

Dude, this blasting loud music is annoying af, I can’t even listen to my own music through headphones because I can’t drown out the stupid gym music. Everything else is great but seriously the music sucks. If it was at least decent music maybe I could tolerate it but it’s usually shit.

This gym has been described as old school and bare bones. However, it’s equipped with everything you need to develop a 3d physique and provides a focused and energetic environment. Some people were disappointed in the lack of health club amenities for the price. This is not a health club, nor do they claim to be! This is an extremely affordable private fitness center dedicated to helping you achieve your own fitness goals. Whether it be losing a few lbs, gaining a few lbs, or moving into competing. Do not fear knowledge, passion and results! If you already know or are interested in learning the power of weight training, the owner and his staff are very knowledgeable and experienced in helping people of all ages, shapes and sizes. make an appointment, and speak to one of their knowledgeable staff members. This is all a plus for you and your goals! Its members are competitive and hard working individuals focused on putting in hard work, and helping thos sons them. Do not be intimidated by their drive; join them on your path(we’re all in it together). Again, this is a private gym, and you are entrusted with a key and 24hr private access; respect that trust! The owner and his wife have the up most respect for everyone who walks through their doors and welcome you to make their home, your own. They simply ask, you make an appointment, so they can be there to provide you with answers to all of your questions and set you up appropriately. If you fail to respect that, you are failing to respect the people who are inviting you into their home. This gym will inspire you to push yourself to your limits, and provide you with all the tools to reach new heights! Check it out and get started in there, today!

Best gym in the PNW! This is definitely a gym for those who are committed to fitness or wanting to change their lifestyle. Lots of amazing trainers, great group classes & all at an affordable price. Couldn’t say enough good things about this gym!

I’d have to say, this is the«gym’s gym.» Has everything you need for all the right muscle groups. Nothing super fancy but all the right equipment is there and the staff is pretty helpful. I’ve met some of the gym goers and they’re pretty helpful too. I feel like this is a gym for those who appreciate the human body and each other’s goals. It’s not your«LA Fitness» atmosphere where a bunch of DBags walk around and how«pretty» it looks, barebones gym and a good time!

Awesome gym. Straight up no none sense. If you want to lift weights it’s the place for you. There’s some cardio machine but minimal. Sadly this gym is on the«off establishments» list for military personnel. Real bummer cause most other gyms in the area don’t compare to this one

Now called G Standard. I am leaving this review for my husband, who is a bodybuilder by hobby(doesn’t compete, but could). He loved it, loved the equipment, loved the atmosphere. Called it a true bodybuilder gym. WHICHMEANS — no fluff, couple cardio machines but mostly free weights and machines. I am not ‘fit’ like most people in this gym, and on top of that I was pregnant when we worked out here but never felt judged or that anyone was even looking at me like you get sometimes in mainstream gyms. When we had to move for the military, leaving this gym was the hardest part for my husband!

First off gabe moen owns and runs the gym. He is awesome. Second off, you can train with gabe moen. Who, by the way, is a professional bodybuilder. Third, personal training sessions are the same price as 24 or la fitness. This is a bare bones gym. This is not a 24 hour super sport, that charges 20 $ per guest pass. If you like lifting heavy things and like an atmosphere conducive to that, this gym is amazing. Take it as it is. The people I met working out there, treat it like church. Everyone is welcome and everyone is family.

It looks like my review has been taken into consideration(hurray!) In the past month a lot of things have changed, for the better. The bathroom is almost always clean, stocked with paper towels, tp, and soap. Yay! Yay! Yay! I’m now proud to tell my friends about this place and have them sign up for a membership. There are new additions and remodeling taking place and I am so excited to see this gym evolve. It’s well on its way to becoming the best gym in the northwest(it’s already the best in the Tacoma/Puyallup area, duh).

When I went in to sign up at Flex Fit, there wasn’t anyone there who could help me. Someone took my name and I was called back. There was never a trainer or anyone who ever offered to help me. No one introduced themselves. From a gym rat’s point of view, that would be awesome. No one to sell me supplements, no one to ask me to train with them for a fee, in fact there was no customer service at all. There were sometimes dogs, which are cute but not the place for a gym. NOCLEANLINESS! I don’t like seeing random gum on the ground while I’m exercising, or not being able to clean the machines between use. When I called to cancel, there was no voicemail set up and no one would ever answer. Finally today someone answered the phone«hello?». Really? No professionalism. I’d be embarrassed to be the owner of that business.

I’ve been a member of a «mainstream» gym thats been popping up all over the northwest lately for the last 3 years. some people may know exactly what gym I’m talking about, annoying salesmen, over populated clases, over populated weight room filled with those guys deadlifting the bar and hogs the bench for almost an hour trying to out bench the guy next to them. Point Blank, I signed up to Flex Fitness and that day I did leg day and fell INLOVE. I love the grittyness of the gym and all of those benches and machines to chose from. It’s not over crowded and the people in there are FOCUSED on the work out and not last night’s walking dead episode. I was hoping to find a metroflex kind of gym in WA because I’m a huge fan of CT Fletcher and his motivation. If you wanna work your ass off, not worried too much on hygiene, and just lift heavy stuff without people spectating you… this here is the perfect place. I’m excited for my journey here.

I’ve been here about a month and I’m really impressed with Flex Fitness. It is a 24-hour gym, and every time I’ve gone I’ve had immediate access to whatever equipment I needed. I think I’ve had to wait to use something once, and I just moved on to the next exercise and the equipment was free when I got back to it. The rates are extremely reasonable. You can pay month-to-month, or get a decent discount if you pre-pay 10 months up front. There are personal training sessions available, and the owner is available to work with you on a nutrition plan if you are interested(for a fee, obviously). I’ve never seen anything along the lines of group training or classes. It is primarily a strength-training gym, so about 90% of the space is devoted to various weights, barbells, dumbells, etc. There are treadmills, stair machines, and ellipticals, but I think there are maybe 2 or 3 of each. I come here to lift weights, and that’s pretty much the only thing I’ve explored. Honestly, I haven’t had anything to complain about yet. I don’t see any reason why I might leave Flex Fitness, so keep it up, guys!

I’m proactively adding this business before I actually enter the establishment… Just got of the phone with the owner Stan and I am super excited to see what this place offers! My husband and I have been eyeing it for some time but have been locked into a contract with a current gym membership that we find is great but overpriced:(We don’t use all the services it provides and Flex is a only a short run/jog away from the house! Will be updating as soon as we do a trial run! Hoping this becomes our new gym, as it is 24 hours as well:)
