Lenderman’s Academy Of Martial Arts

Very professional. Staff is great with the kids. Classes are at convenient times for both adult and youth. The atmosphere is inviting and they make you feel like you are a part of a family.

the classes are expensive for very low quality. the instructors there get rotated so often that its hard to build a lasting relationship with them because they always seem unhappy and leave. then a new instructor comes in. most real mma schools have several qualified black belts that train in their specific style. what i mean is there will be at least 2 muay thai instructors and at least 2 judo instructors, 2 wrestling coaches and so on. at the lenderman academy there’s one guy (sifu) who is supposed to know everything and teach everything which is impossible. there is no way he is qualified to teach all that encompasses mixed martial arts. then consider the fact that he has limited mobility because he had bad knees and then had a operation on both knees at the same time and against all the medical knowledge and years of education, he was walking on his recently operated knees way before he was supposed to. he never let them heal properly and he complains about them all the time. he dont teach many kick techniques because he cant kick because of his knees. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT SOME OF THIS STUFF BEFORE I WASTED MY MONEY. i would suggest looking for a place that has qualified BLACK BELT instructors. not just one guy trying to get paid. just another fyi if you are looking for high quality ju jitsu he only has a blue belt in ju jitsu so i dont even know how he qualified to teach it.

Over priced for low quality instruction. They throw kids new to martial arts in the midst of others that have been doing it for a long time without taking the time to show the new child the moves

Wow is all I can say. The level of service has definitely gone downhill. We attempted to sign our son back up for training now that he has returned to the area only to be met with a level of arrogance from the program director that one would expect from a giant like Microsoft not a small owner operator business such as the Lenderman Academy.
We had problems with a uniform that was purchased and in an attempt to get the matter resolved so our son could start training we were essentially told our business was not needed if we were going to insist that the brand new uniform be exchanged for the proper size. Rather an extreme response to a reasonable request.

I trained here for a little bit and I loved it. Sifu Lenderman still teaches classes and goes through things very well. One month it will be Thai boxing techniques, the next kali, the next month boxing. The controlled information overload is great. The entire staff is friendly and always willing to help. They have open mat sessions where you can practice or ask help from an instructor. Why am I not there anymore? Because I moved away from the area.
