Great bar staff. Char, Ashley & Roxie are the best! Good food & drink with a low key atmosphere! Love hanging out here anytime day or night!

Angry Orchard is super cheap, the majority of the bartenders are cool, but I personally don’t like the type of cliental and I feel like there’s a waitress there who is extremely unprofessional and gives away drinks and flirts instead of working. I’ve been once or twice but won’t again.

New karaōke dj-total jerk that let one person sing every hour so he could blare bass and be lame! Multiple complaints and he did nothing but wait until last call to let people sing and most got tired of waiting and left. This is a karaōke bar dude-not endless, gangster rap giving everyone a headache and you making derogatory comments to waitresses thinking you’re witty! Food sucks too!

Come early if you want the glass boot mug. There is only one glass boot mug at the Flying BootS!?$*%# Common Flying Boots, buy some more boot mugs for tourists!!! Heavy handed bartenders make your mixed drinks in pint glasses… Oh Yeah… Many Karaōke options… I have to say I have never seen line dancing to Hip Hop, but the crowd sure loved Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash & Closing Time by Semisonic… You can say I «Broadened their horizons»…cause this White Boy has some pipes.

It’s ok. I would prefer to be in a better neighborhood. The food is ok, I’ve had better other places. It’s not the same Flying Boots it was, and it never will be the same. Mrs. Peggy was one of a kind owner, she is a wonderful women, and I miss seeing her, she was a fixture of the place. No matter the circumstances, Ms. Peggy treated everyone with respect, and would give a homeless man something to eat, she never turned them away. She would have thanksgiving dinner and feed the homeless on Thanksgiving, but she would also put her foot down, the homeless people looked out for her and some of her employees, I witnessed one helping the night bartender clean up tables after a busy night by herself. I’m happy the boot is back open, but it will never be the same, the lighting is terrible, and Peggy always had it bright, and welcoming. It’s not welcoming, it’s cold and dark feeling, I just don’t like the feeling, it’s not the same. Yea they have food, it’s expensive for the area. The service is not that great, I’ve had better. It’s been open a little over a year, and I’m happy to see people use it, but what I’ve seen and hear from others, if it stays open 5 years, I will be surprised.

Love this place. Good food — had the wings and popcorn shrimp. Good drinks — delicious Irish Death on draft and great margaritas. Great atmosphere — bartenders are attentive and friendly and make you feel at home.

If you hire someone who has been doing this longer than you have and they bring in their old customers perhaps you should give them the Tips they deserve rather than tell them they are in training and they get no Tips. What you have done here is lose a lot of business. I have never been to the Boots but certainly would of. Now I will continue on my merry way to Billy B’s or the Top. Hell I’d go to the Brass Lantern before I ever set foot in the door at your establishment.

My boyfriend just moved into the neighborhood and we walked over for breakfast this morning. Our server/bartender Charlotte was friendly and welcoming, and that got things off to a great start. Our breakfasts were delicious! Eggs done to perfection, killer breakfast sausage. homemade sausage gravy was great consistency and flavor. Even the coffee was outstanding. The interior belies the exterior. From the street the place looks a little sketchy, but inside is super clean and tidy and the music was good and at nice volume level. Prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back.

From outside your a little weary cause it looks like an old dive. But when you open the door, the staff is welcoming and friendly. Recently under new ownership. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced at 9 $ a burger. The jalapeño burger is made with real jalapeños instead of that pickled jarred crap. The have dart boards, pull tabs and they also do Karaōke Tuesday through Saturdays after 9pm. Great place check it out!

I went there for lunch today. The décor is as I remember from it being the boot. with quite a bit of good looking upgrades… the bar has great beers! Mens room red anyone?! I had the Bacon Cheese burger, and 2 orders of wings… I ha the jalapeño honey and the traditional franks. The wings were good size a decent amount of them. fried correctly and a nice crunchy skin to them. The Honey Jalapeño were«meh» I could not taste any spicy-ness on them at all. but the sweet went well the other other plate of tradition buffalo style. The burger was a good size I would have liked a choice of cooking temp(I like a little pink in the middle) But he bacon was good quality and the bun while nothing special was nice, fresh and soft. The French fries are Krinkle cut and seasoned with salt and pepper… All and all I will go back for beer and wings… sounded like they might be getting ready for tacos as well!

Recently reopened after an extensive renovation, the old Flying Boots Café is now the Flying Boots & Wings bar– and it’s kinda awesome! This historic watering hole has been around for nearly 80 years, and the new version has managed to maintain some of the previous incarnation’s divey charm(especially the iconic neon sign on the front of the building). Inside, the ‘Boots has got a fresh look and some new toys– including four electronic dart boards, an internet jukebox, LCD TVs, and a kick-ass sound system for karaōke. Even better than all of that, though, are the new bar with eight or so microbrew handles and the menu featuring burgers, chicken wings, and breakfast all day! The wings I tried on my first visit were hot, juicy, and a little crispy on the outside– so pretty much just right. I didn’t love the sauce I had with that order: a honey-jalapeño that was too sweet and not nearly spicy enough. Oh well, they’ve got several more flavors to choose from and I’m sure I’ll be returning to try some more :-) Liquor, beer, chicken wings, bacon & eggs… what more could you ask for?
