Stopped by for first time the other night and was amazed by the craft beer selection. It’s a well kept secret. My party ordered wings, Philly cheesesteak, and a burger. All came out fast and very good, and well priced. Sat at bar, with excellent service by a friendly bartender. Owner was there too and he made a point to make sure we were happy. Also played a video trivia game against other bars in the country. Will go again soon.

We went in last night with some friends from Canada. The wings were OK, nothing to write home about. My biggest problem was the way they treated my friends. They went as far as to make fun of them right to their face. They made fun of their accent and the way they were dressed. I’ve never gone to a place that was so disrespectful. We won’t be coming back and will find somewhere else to get wings when they’re in town.

I only give four stars because phone number given on website is wrong. There is no way to find the menu on the internet. I wanted take out but, didn’t want to sit at the bar to wait for food. Marketing or owner should fix that.

Good place to go and have a few drinks. The service can be kind of slow but you just have to know how to order a drink at a bar… most of the times I went I spent my time out on the deck and the bartenders took care of me and everyone that was with me. We ordered shots and different drinks all night and each time I walked up there they helped me right away. In response to Chris– bartenders are suppose to be social. I’m sure they weren’t intentionally being rude. On the other hand there was one bartender one night that didn’t seem to want to serve anyone.

Decent beer selection, wings were a huge let down after all the hype.

Chris C. might have caught them on an off night, I have been many times and the service is usually pretty decent. Maybe not super attentive, but I feel a lot of bars are like this, you kind of have to camp out at the bar and wave money, hoping to get served. I’m pretty used to that and would have to say that Woody’s is better than average. But I don’t go to Woody’s just to drink, I go for the wings. My cousin turned me on to them several years ago and they are so good it is RIDICULOUS. Best hot wings on the planet, anywhere, including Buffalo. I grew up in Syracuse, went to college in Albany, now live in Los Angeles, and have had wings every place in between. For traditional hot wings, Woody’s beats them all. Every time I visit Syracuse I look forward to heading to Woody’s with my cousin, chowing down on some wings and having a few beers. The atmosphere is pretty chill, typical bar with TVs, though some nights it gets pretty crowded if there is a game on. Prices are really reasonable; no matter how much I eat or drink I feel like my tab is always less than I expected. If you are a wing fanatic like me, get to Woody’s IMMEDIATELY!

If you like being served drinks at bars, I wouldn’t recommend this place. I felt like I had walked into someone’s house and asked to be waited on. The bartender was more interested in talking to other people and just hanging around. On the plus side, they did have a multitude of TVs with games on, which was nice. I wouldn’t recommend it though.
