Unicorn Nails

I recently moved and thought I’d try Unicorn Nails as it’s closer to where I now live. That was a mistake. Worst pedicure I’ve ever had. My feet sat in the water for 5 – 10 seconds before trying to push back my cuticles, which doesn’t work. Never cut out that fiber that grows next to the nail, which can cause ingrown nails. The technician spent most of the time staring out the window while simultaneously working on my feet. Eyes should be on the job!

seriously understaffed. they can’t handle peak hours (right after work on weekdays). not worth the hour long wait, sadly.

Have been here a couple of times for waxing. Staff is very nice and do a good job but they lack wax rollers so it can take a while. It’s also a little pricey for the basic services they offer.

Went there a few weeks ago because I needed a gel polish done and this was close. This was the best job I’ve ever had done! Often a manicurist applies the paint too thick and not carefully enough around the edges so it starts it peeling away from the cuticle within a few days if I get them wet. But Diana did an amazingly careful job — and she was quick too! She also gave me a wonderful (and needed) shoulder rub while the gel was curing. Oh, and did I mention it was very reasonably priced? So two thumbs up — I’ll be back!

They did a nice job for my wedding

This is a great nail salon in Dewitt. The atmosphere is very nice and it’s always clean. I’ve gotten a pedicure, 2 gel manicures, and my eyebrows waxed and I’ve been very happy with the service I’ve received each time I’ve been there. The price is comparable with many of the salons in the area. I would recommend this place to any of my friends. They have many pedicure chairs and manicure stations as well.

I’m visiting from California and needed to find a place to get a gel manicure. I looked on Unilocal and most nails places had few Unilocal reviews. I decided to give this place a try and wanted to Unilocal it ( Unilocal is big in California but doesn’t seem to be in Syracuse). I had a great experience. I walked in and they saw me within three minutes. Person after person kept walking in and they took everyone. I kept thinking to myself, people are going to wait and get mad but it never happened. They were so efficient that everyone who walked in was in a chair within five minutes. I really don’t know how they managed that.
The place was clean and the staff friendly. There are plenty of chairs and TVs in with the close caption in.
I liked my gel manicure (even though there were a lot of people my manicure didn’t feel rushed. She even asked me if I wanted a third coat on my nails and I did). They massaged my neck, back and hands. I also don’t like to talk much and I liked how they girl didn’t try to force a conversation. Every person got a gift! That’s right– a gift. With it being Christmas, everyone got a lotion (In a box) and a desk calendar. I’ve never been given a gift from a nail salon.
When I come back to Syracuse– I will definitely come back here.

Amazing!!! So please give this place a chance. First off I moved here from buffalo and had the hardest time finding a quality nail place that gives you your monies worth, who doesn’t just try to get you in and out and actually cares about your nails and feet! I have no idea why this place doesn’t have more reviews! Every time I come they treat me so well, they have a Mani and spa pedi for $ 45!!! Which consists of the A through Z pedi treatment, dry skin removed, clay on your legs, cleaning your nail, two different scrubs used and some elbow grease on removing all the bad stuff. Then they massage your feet and legs! And use hot stones on your feet! The Mani is your usual Mani but with a massage and then! while your nails are drying they give your back a hot towel massage! Please please give this place a try!

I love this place. It’s big and bright and very clean. Staff if very nice and helpful. Manicures and pedicures are great. They even do massages while your nails dry.
