I truly had an amazing experience. The best part of the whole night was mr. Ortiz or Edward. He was the best. He was so patient with everyone and very much willing to help. He was very personable and sweet. He made painting easy and fun. There was plentiful space, even if it was a full class it would have been fine. The studio was very nice. There was an area to pour your drink and they do have plastic cups for wine(we weren’t sure if we should bring glasses). Overall we had a very fun and exciting experience. I would go back in a heart beat, especially with Ed!

We went there for my birthday a few months back and we had a blast. Thank you for this experience

I have been here twice, once with a private party, the other time I was with a large class. Both times I went were a blast, lots of laughs and somehow you leave with a great painting!

Just word to the wise, anyone thinking of having an event at this Paint with a Twist beware. I was planning to have my bachelorette party there this weekend and I did not have enough people to have a private class. The painting of the day was an atrocious Michael Jackson painting. Because I only had 7 people and not the required 10 – 12 I was told I would have to paint Michael Jackson or nothing. When I called to see if they’d be willing to make an exception I was told it wasn’t feasible for them to have a class of 7 paint in a private class. I have now cancelled my event and will no longer attend any other events there. I chose this place after attending a party there previously and had a great time. I’m shocked and appalled that they would rather lose out on a minimum of $ 245 and make the customer happy than to have an empty studio. So the studio would rather lose money than provide service for a group.

This was a fun time. The driving directions from the website were very helpful and the studio was easy to find. We attended an open studio time where we selected our own painting from the wall and the two instructors helped each of us one-on-one. The instructors were helpful and changed our water, towels and paint as needed. We were almost a half hour late because of traffic and were immediately welcomed and given instructions. Our stations were set up and waiting for us. We never felt rushed and were not crowded as others commented.

I was excited to do my first BYO paint class with my friends but I’m sad to say this experience was not up to par. To start, this place packs you in like sardines, so close to each other that there was nowhere to put down both your paint plate and your wine glass. The person behind me was literally touching me, and the person across from me kept pushing her easel closer and closer to me so that I was afraid my paint was going to fall into my lap. So please book less people so there is more room! Onto the painting part — I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I have some painting experience and am more than able to follow the instructors directions. My painting was almost identical to his. However, his interpretation of the sample painting was awful. I was following his direction because I thought we weren’t done yet — then all of a sudden the painting is «finished» looking dreadful. I wish I had known from the beginning to just do my own thing, but I idiotically trusted him, and now my painting is in the trash. Thanks a lot for nothing! I would NEVER go back to painting with a twist unless they can hire better instructors and give the customers more space.

For starters, this place is darn near impossible to find. They’re BURIED in a gigantic plaza. There is no way to see them from the road, they don’t have a sign listed on the main board in front of the plaza, and the only indicator is their highly-stylized, small, and difficult to read sign on the front, which is impossible to see OR read unless you’re already in the plaza itself and driving directly in front of the store. For some reason they don’t bother to say something useful about where they’re located on their site — in the Herb Philipson plaza would be great, for example. Moving on, needless to say, I drove right past the place because there’s no indication it’s in the plaza at all. Thus, I was late, but just on the cusp of when they say you have to be there by. I had no idea what to do or where to go and the staff was completely unhelpful. The guy up front told me to «grab a chair» — what chair? There was no room! The guy at the front desk asked me why I was there — duh, I’m carrying a box with party favors, I’m here with the group already here! I tried talking to the guy once I realized it was probably futile, but all I got was that«I shouldn’t even bother talking to the owner because she won’t give me a refund.» Everyone had already started and after being humiliated like that, I felt the only option I had was to leave. They didn’t even have any chairs or a workstation set up for me at all, and if they’d bothered, maybe I would’ve stayed. As it is, I will never be going here again. More handy tips — this place does not offer chairs, all they have are backless stools. Don’t bother showing up at all if you’re late, they clearly started right in and will not do basic things like have anything set up, like easels and whatnot, making it very awkward. Lastly, I don’t think I would’ve stayed even if I’d been on time. This is in a tiny store, and they clearly sell too many«spots». It was elbow-to-elbow, and I don’t know about you, but I like my personal space, and I’m not a big fan of having elbows being thrown around while I’m feeling creative. I’ve been told events like these are a lot of fun, so my advice is to try elsewhere.
