Typical uninspired Thai food being served here at Thai Express. The Thai iced tea was 100% sugar syrup, probably to serve its target clientele… I would recommend you keep driving towards LA and Thaitown before you spend any money or appetite here at Thai Express.

Not great place overpriced and didn’t feel like I was having good Thai food. Took my family and it didn’t seem like it was a family friendly place

First time trying this place. Got my order delivered and received it sooner than expected. I ordered the pad thai and a Thai iced tea with boba and was delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here again! Great value for Thai food :-)

Great Thai for express style. Padthai, green curry, orange chicken and cashew chicken were right on beat for fast food.
As we all know we don’t have hamburgers every night for dinner, well neither do Thai families have have Orange chicken. Mexicans don’t have fried tacos or enchiladas either, but you’ll find them at restaurants daily. You’ve got to go (you won’t find Orange Chicken) to the little spots to get real Chinese food.
This is a «great» Thai fast food! Thank you little chefs!

This review is only for delivery. I have never actually stepped foot in the business. Anyways, their delivery is amazing… you can order and pay online which is so easy and convenient. They give you an estimated delivery time right away and they’re never even been a minute late! Sometimes early… which is great. Some favorites are the pineapple friend rice, teriyaki chicken or beef and any noodles… except the pad thai. I DID NOT like the pad thai. Everything else taste better every time I order it. Delivery guys are always smiling and chatty.

Wanted to check this place out based on the reviews and I really don’t understand why so many people like it. I walk in and the place is small with no thai people in sight, just Mexicans, but this is sylmar so whatever, as long as the food is good it doesn’t matter who cooks it. So I order a thai iced tea but it tasted… off. Now this was a huge red flag because let’s face it, thai iced tea is pretty easy to make. So then my panang curry comes and it looks a little thick. I love thai curry, but this did not seem like thai curry. Panang curry like most thai curries uses coconut milk so it’s sweet and creamy, but this wasn’t sweet it was salty and the beef had a hint of lime. The curry wasn’t creamy it was almost grittty. It didn’t taste authentic, I kept thinking it tasted… Mexican? The curry had pieces of chile and seeds and it seemed almost like a non chocolate based mole. My dad’s cashew nut chicken was sweet which I’ve never experienced but the garlic pork tasted pretty spot on if unremarkable.
I don’t know if this place uses authentic thai recipes, I don’t even know if this place has ever had a thai person inside the restaurant. If this was a new take on thai I didn’t really like it and if you’re looking for authentic thai in sylmar I recommend the Dome Pochana nearby.

The food here is great. I love the Massaman curry and the Spring Rolls are good too! I also like their Thai Tea, however they always put wayyy too much Boba, I will ask for little boba next time.
What i love most is that they deliver!
However, that is why they received 4-​Stars oppose to a 5-​Stars. They weren’t picking up their phone when i ordered last and their answering machine said to order online, so i did (and it’s advertised here as well). BIG MISTAKE, DON’T DO IT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR FOOD AN HOUR+ LATER. You shouldn’t advertise and push for that system until it’s mastered or understood. They said they didn’t get my order right away and they had tried contacting me because something I ordered wasn’t available. I NEVER got a missed call.
I’ve ordered delivery before via phone-​call and it had arrived approx. 25 mins later. This time it took about 1.5 hours. HORRIBLE.
However, the point of this review is to say they have great food and service. it is their online ordering that is not organized at all! so just dont go that route.
The guy on the phone and the delivery guy was really nice so i cant stay mad at them. They usually have great timing and service. I will continue to order from them.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about but my food was awesome. I’ve ordered from here twice, first time delivery and this past time I picked up. I ordered Pad See Ew with pork and extra broccoli, spring rolls, a Thai iced tea, and tom kha gai soup to share with my mom. Everything was awesome and not salty or anything like that. The food was fresh and had the perfect amount of garlic. I’ve had a lot of Thai food around LA and this is in my top 5. Plus the service was great. Keep cookin guys, you’re doing great.

No, no, no. Never again, i just came back from thid place. The place is small, kind of cramped, but ok kind of feels cozy. The waiter was super nice. menu is really small. We ordered the orange chicken, pad see ew and they only had on the menu a spicy fried rice but since i was there with my daughter and sister i ordered regular chicken fried rice. As soon as they brought the food we knew we were not going to like it. The rice had lots of curry. Im not a fan of curry at all! The pad see ew made my sister want to gag and it was waaaayyyy to salty. The orange ckicken was so salty as well. What kid doesn’t like orange ckicken??? Mine didn’t… we really didnt eat anything and i felt bad with the waiter because he was so nice and tentative.
We spent $ 38 on something we didnt even eat. I really try to support our local joints but this was agonizing. Not to mention as soon as we left i had to run to the potty. Something that never happens. I have somewhat of a iron stomach. Oh yeah im home now and im super thirsty… maybe all the salt???
I wont be coming back. :/

This was my first time eating Thai food. I was a little hesitant because of the overall texture of the food. I tagged along with my friend and decided to get the Pad see ew while I was there. We took it to go, on the way home I could smell the wonderful aromas that were coming from our food. I couldn’t wait to get home. Once I tried it I was hooked! It was so good. I only wish they added more broccoli. I definitely see myself eating Thai food again! This place was awesome. I recommend it.

Great food and it’s not oily/​greasy. I have to admit that I was forced to come here since I’ve had bad experiences with hole in the wall restaurants in San Fernando. But the good reviews and simple menu put my mind at ease.
Chow main, and thai iced tea are great.
Pad thai, pad see eww, and spring rolls are surprisingly good.
Only complaint is that the light in the bathroom wasn’t working.

Great food and friendly service.
My only gripe is the limited menu options… however, don’t change that if it’s gonna effect the quality.

I came here tonight for the first time and I can’t say anything but GREAT things about this new establishment.
I woke up from a nap starving and decided to search Thai on Unilocal and low and behold found this place fairly close to home. I called at 8:45pm and the gentleman on the phone told me that they closed at 9pm but I could place my order without a problem and they would have it ready for me in 10 minutes.
Thai Express is located on the corner of Polk St. and Glenoaks right across from the Little Caesars Pizza. It’s a fairly small location but easy to spot. I love that although it’s a smaller location, you do have the option of dining in. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by the owner who is SUCH a sweet guy. Not only did he have my order ready in 10 minutes, but I got there right at closing and was still able to get my free Thai tea for checking in! Can you say AWESOME? I ordered shrimp pad Thai along with the Thai tea. The noodles were SO flavorful and they did not skimp on their shrimp which mostly places tend to do. The Thai tea was really yummy too and so refreshing on a warm night :)
This place is affordable, delicious, and awesome customer service. Thank you so much for accommodating to my last minute order. I’ll be back :)
