Tried this place twice. First time the food was terrible. Second time we got seated. Waited for about 15 minutes without anyone even asking for a drink order and it wasn’t even busy. Got up and left and will never go back.

I have been to the cozy kettle very early in their history and usto like it. I don’t know how it happened, but this place has gotten creepy and gross too quickly. I see that the owner or whoever responds to people’s comments on Unilocal, and it seems like a load of excuses for a shitty staff. I don’t know if they hire family or friends but they’re going to end up out of buisness because of it. I think this place should be on Ramseys kitchen nightmares because I wish there was another breakfest option for swansea besides the train, the jesus place, and dunkin. If the owner shut down for a week, took the stupid flyers off the wall, and reconsidered the staff’s ability to cook and serve this would be a much better place.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Tried this place again though it was HORRIBLE last time(things can happen and bad days can happen). Apparently it wasn’t just a «bad day» as what we thought couldn’t possibly get worse did. The place was super crowded so we thought that was a good sign. We were wrong. The waitresses DID run their butts off and did a great job. But you can only do so much when your soda machine is broken and you are pouring drinks out of a bottle, then you wait 30 min for burnt pancakes and toast and undercooked sausage. Gave it a second chance but never again. Don’t bother going

Overall a nice place with a great breakfast and a good selection of sandwiches. Definitely worth the try. The place was also notably clean which was reassuring.

I have been coming here for a couple of years now, tried many dishes and have never been displeased. The place is clean, waitresses are fast and attentive, prices are fair, and the food is good. I’ve read the reviews and everyone here seems to think they’re The Phantom Gourmet. I don’t see what all the complaining is about. You must have too much time on your hands. You have to understand something. You’re not having dinner at The Ritz Carlton, people!!! It’s a breakfast/lunch restaurant!!! And a pretty damn good one at that! As for it being expensive? Go to McDonalds and have breakfast and tell me it doesn’t cost you just as much, if not more, for food that isn’t even fit for human consumption. Better yet, go have a breakfast burrito at Taco Bell. That’ll clean out your wallet, and your colon too! Enjoy!

I wish I could give half a star. Terrible all around. I had a bad feeling as soon as we walked in. The interior is very unwelcoming, dark and not very clean. I opened the menu and was appalled at the prices for breakfast dishes alone. Overpriced is an understatement, out of their mind is more like it especially given the quality and portion sizes. I ordered French toast, two scrambled eggs with bacon and a side of home fries. At first I was given hash browns instead of home fries. The home fries I got after were barely cooked or spiced. All of the food tasted awful and my friend agreed. The eggs were watery and barely warm. Everything had this strange aftertaste to it almost like chemical or plastic. My friend and I split the bill and I wanted to pay with a card and it was ten minutes later and still the waitress never came back over to collect the check. Luckily my friend had cash to cover us both bc I was so angry I had to leave. There was no management present or at least it seemed that way bc the staff was very half assed and inattentive. I can’t believe this place is still open.

I don’t remember who my waitress was; dark hair– short. I visited on a Saturday around 1.

We went late in the day so there weren’t that many people in the place. The waitress was fast as well as the food. The pancakes and Dutch Apple are worth going for. The food is a little pricey but worth it if you are looking for good food.

We came here for breakfast based on a recommendation and we should have read the reviews as the food is simple but it was not done well. Got the steak and eggs and the steak was like chewing bubble gum and the pancakes where also some what chewy like they had been sitting out.

My friend and I ordered breakfast to go and it was overpriced. In my opinion they are ripping people off. We got charged $ 6.00 for one burnt waffle with no toppings! All together our breakfast cost $ 33.00 and we did not order much. In my opinion they are taking advantage of people! They were actually good when they first opened, but the food quality is terrible now and overpriced. I never write bad reviews but I think it is horrible that they are overcharging so much for breakfast food that is so cheap.

In the past I have visited Cozy Kettle a few times on Sunday mornings to always find the place packed. On my last visit in March in the restaurant was half empty. I wasn’t sure if the cause was the winter weather or other factors. I soon found my answer. After being quickly seated a nice server greeted me. Before giving my order I had noticed a small table signage indicating that flavor shots for coffee were being offered for an additional charge. In the past I have enjoyed the brewed New England Coffee brand flavored coffee here as I don’t care for flavored syrup in my coffee. The server told me Cozy Kettle no longer serve the brewed flavors so I opted for the regular coffee. After my first sip I discovered the coffee was a bit bitter and no longer had the full body taste as in my previous visit. The second cup was no different so I inquired if the restaurant had switched brands as the difference was so great.(The server said yes and named the new coffee brand). Next, I ordered the blueberry«baked«pancake. I asked if fresh blueberries were used as I wanted whole berries not a blue berry pie(filling) use in the pancake. I was assured they used the fresh berries. To her credit the server came quickly back to inform me frozen berries would have to be used as they had ran out of the fresh berries. I asked if that would make a difference and she thought not. My baked blueberry pancake was quickly dropped on the table by another server. Instead of the sugary glazed(as describer in the menu) on top of the pancake and filling the nooks and crannies was about a fourth to a half cup of light purple liquid. At first I thought it was syrup but it tasted like water! Possibly from the frozen berry. Not only was the the top of the pancake soaked but after 2 bites the pancake was sliding on the plate from an excessive amount of butter which does not taste well in large amounts! I quickly got a server to take the plate and remove the meal from the the bill. I was asked if I would prefer another entrée but the pancake was so bad I did not want to chance it. I did pay for the coffee although I did not enjoy the beverage and did tip the server well as she was not at fault. In closing the staff was friendly, attentive, and worked as a team. In the past the food was always ok and the coffee sort made up for what the entrees lacked. Possibly, the owner changed coffee brands to save money but the new brand is not good, in my opinion. Looking at the website tonight I noticed New England Coffee brand is pictured on the menu. Hopefully the brand returned but if not you might update the menu. The restaurant is in a good location and like everyone I want a small business to succeed.

Poorly managed with a staff that is less than attentive. Ordered our breakfast and when two of us asked for bacon with our meal, we were told that they had run out and had sent someone to the store. Really?!? We waited more than 40 minutes to get our food and when it finally came out, we didn’t all get our food at the same time! To make matters worse, my order came out wrong and had to be re-done. Oh and that bacon they had run out of? We got our food and there was undercooked bacon on the plates! Then we heard the same waitress tell the table behind us that that hey had run out of sausage. So which is it? Do their waitresses not know the difference between bacon and sausage. We waited for what seemed to be forever to get our coffee refilled. People waiting to be seated stood unattended while tables sat uncleaned and waitresses gossiped with each other. If you have all day to kill and like being annoyed, this is the place for you.

Today was my first time here. My first impression was good, the place was bright, clean and nicely decorated. The hostess who seated us was very friendly. The waitress came right over and offered us coffee. The menu was good, I just wish they had smaller fare selections. For breakfast, it seems pretty pricey. We both ordered the two eggs, homefries(they also offer hashbrowns as a selection) toast, coffee, I had bacon, my cousin had spam(yes, Spam). The total bill was $ 16.32. Our waitress was very friendly, offered refills of coffee multiple times and did not rush us out of there. I would return again, it’s a convenient spot AND they serve breakfast all day, which I like.

I think your experience at Cozy Kettle depends a lot on what time of day you go and who is working. I have had both pleasant and unpleasant experiences myself, but mostly pleasant.

My wife and I went here with another couple for breakfast this morning. The food was left waiting for a waitress to serve it and was served cold and incomplete. My wife ordered French toast and an omlet. The French toast was so cold the soft butter wouldn’t melt and the omlet was served after. The food and wait staff were both terrible. We won’t be back

Went there for their breakfast buffet. First of all, the buffet was awful! The food was hard, and looked as it had been sitting there all morning long. I didn’t see one waitress touch any of the food. Or check if anything need replenishing. We got coffee and were never again asked if we needed a refill or to be topped off. When I complained about the food being hard, and not getting any more coffee all the waitress said was«Sorry». Then, she dropped off our bill and walked away. I was very aggravated. Plus I got charged full price for my two year old to eat from the buffet, and if anyone knows a two year old barely eats anything. Will NEVER go back! Food was awful, waitstaff even worse. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this crappy place.

Service is always sub par. I’m always trying to track down someone to pay at the end. However, their baked pancakes are like no other and keep me returning again and again!

Okay, confession time. I found this place looking for Bourbon lol A breakfast all day place that has great omelet combinations a variety of different kinds of pancakes and home fried potatoes, I cannot get enough of those seasoned home fries. Lunch time, they have all the sandwiches and burgers and salads. My fav is a tuna melt that’s absolutely the best I’ve ever had… and had again. I recommend

Had breakfast here this morning. Interior is nice, very clean and bright. The place was busy so I knew this was a good sign. Menu was pretty big and had every thing from kids meals to steak & eggs. Lots of choices to choose from. Service was good, with only 2 waitress working, I got quick refills on coffee without having to ask. I have to say I like this place for breakfast, I’ll have to try it for lunch or dinner sometime.
