Penn Station East Coast Subs

Sandwich was decent. I ordered the Philly cheese. I came in at 6 o clock and there were only 4 customers in the store and it took 25 minutes to get my sandwich! It doesn’t make sense because the employees were working their tails off! I feel bad for them having to work for someone who only schedules 2 people in the dinner shift. Pathetic

We tried this place for lunch on a recent Friday. The subs just seemed a bit ‘off’. I’m not sure what it was. They have their own seasoning /​twist to the subs and you’ll either like it or not. We were not that taken with it, though. For all I know, these are ‘authentic’ to some other region, but the sub was certainly distinct from other similar places nearby (Jersey Mike’s, etc.).

Tastes good, but not worth the money! They also need a little help on their service.

First time visit and it was delicious! I had a 6′ philly which was great. The fresh squeezed lemonade and fresh fries closed the deal. I will definitely be back

A promo for a free 6″ sub drew me in. Enthusiastic service from Emily and Ian, not to mention a hot toasty sub, will bring me back. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, onions, banana peppers, mayo and pizza sauce. The bread was perfectly grilled on the outside and the doughy soft center nicely absorbed the savory juices from the steak and vegetables. There are currently two locations in GA (Druid Hills off of Briarcliff and this one in Suwanee, around the corner from Suwanee Town Center), and they’re expanding. They offer 17 different sub options including three lighter choices: grilled artichoke, chicken or tuna salad, and a grilled vegetarian. Add on hand-​cut fries, cheese bread, and freshly squeezed lemonade to guarantee a better mood, despite tighter pants. Emily was super nice and took the time to share her favorite sub (hello, teriyaki), the catering menu and specials (free sub, Fry-​day deals, kids meal freebies and more) when you sign up for their email list. My sub was juicy, a bit messy, and exactly what I needed after a busy day of errands!

Came in to try the place out and was happy with the many different sandwich options on the menu. Went with the featured item, Philly Cheese Steak.
Got the 6inch and told him to prepare it the way it comes with everything on it. The mushrooms were a tiny amount and had no flavor at all in the sandwich and meat was less steak than I would expect and unlike the thin cut you usually get on a philly this seemed to be cut in odd shaped chunks. They only added mayo and not the mustard and pizza sauce which might have been a good mistake considering how messy it was with just mayo. Was not impressed with the taste or consistency of the bread. They serve it open face so when you make it an actual sandwich everything seems to go wrong. The engineer of this sub might have not thought through the difficulty to eat it. On the good side the banana peppers were a great addition and was a nice flavor to add to the sub, but still did not make it a 5 star experience.
I will try and come back to try other options, but overall I am not as impressed as I hoped to be with this place. I think the layout is pretty simple to understand and staff was friendly.

Their subs are grilled and delicious! These are poplar in the north but two down home southern boys opened a franchise in Suwanee and me and my co workers are sure glad they did! I’m not a French fry eater BUT theirs are outstanding! Currently stuck on their Philly cheesesteak! But my co workers are stuck on the hot Italian… give this place a try you won’t be sorry!

Our family loves this place! Grilled artichoke with chicken is perfection. Flavors are on point with their subs and you can’t find them on every corner. So glad we found this place when we moved nearby.

First time here not busy so if expect their best effort. Sandwiches were good but not exceptional. We ordered an Italian, club, turkey, a cheese bread and a bread with bacon (I have a picky eater). The biggest disappointment was the hand cut fries, for something they have signage all over promoting we were not impressed and we’re fry eaters. They were way over cooked we just threw the $ 6 away because no one ate them. We have other sandwich shops that we’ll go to over this one in the future.

Heard great things about subs. Ordered to go, which took a long time. When I opened my sub, they did not make it as ordered at all. Felt like I wasted my money. Fries were decent, but not worth my time.

I decided to try Penn Station tonight. Ordered a cheese steak and an italian. Both subs were Ok. The meat seemed to be of decent quality. And the toppings were fresh. The bread was a little iffy. Not really brown and crusty enough for my taste. Seems like it could have been left in the oven a little longer. It was almost doughy even after being sent through the toaster. The young staff was very polite and the service was good. If i am on that side of town and I’m hankering for a sub I would stop again. Hopefully the few negatives can be chaulked to up growing pains as this location is realitively new.

These are probably the best subs I’ve ever had! And don’t even get me started on the hand cut fresh fries! Everything is freshly made and tastes fantastic! Even the staff is very friendly! If you are in the mood for subs then come here!

Great sandwiches. I typically go for the Reuben. Quite delicious. The bread is great. Sauerkraut is the jam. The fries here don’t disappoint. Lemonade is great too. Oh… make sure you get a chocolate chunk cookie! Only setback, when they get busy, it will take some time to get your food. But it’s always worth it.

Had the philly. Decided to be adventurous and get everything on it that was on the menu panel (mayo mustard and pizza sauce)
One bite, and instant regret on the mustard and pizza sauce.
On the other hand. Fries were great — fresh and crispy.
The bad — it was super messy to eat. When I opened up the wrap, most of the cheese was dried up on the wrapper and toppings all over the place that I couldn’t even find the other side of the bread. I ended up eating my sub with a fork

Great Staff ! Great Service! Got a Grilled Vegetarian sandwich for the Queen and Cheesesteak for myself. The cheesesteak could have used a lil extra meat a d the fries a tad bit crispier and a lil more salt! I will return to give them another chance. Keep up the great work!

Very friendly staff. I was just visiting friends and found this place through Unilocal.They were all very helpful in the ordering process and food was great as well. Will try my best to go back if I’m in Georgia again. Highly recommended! :)

My friend, who is now becoming a regular, brought me here for lunch. They cook the meat fresh, bake the bread and cut the fries right there in the shop and you can taste it. The staff was nice and friendly and the food was even nicer.

Good Philly Cheese Steak. I got the combo that was on special. The sandwich was very good and the fries were good too using fresh potatoes. The only bad part was there weren’t a lot of fries for a $ 10 meal.

Overall a nice sub shop. My husband and I came here tonight around 8. We figured the crowd would be gone by then but alas we were mistaken. We waited about 20 mins for our food which was atypical for a sandwich joint. To be fair we did both get heated subs and fries so we knew it wouldn’t be as speedy as say, Jimmy John’s. So if you are in a hurry just keep that in mind. I had the Italian and hubby had the chicken teriyaki. Want to try the Philly. We will be back!

They were super busy so they slightly messed up my order, they gave me a free meal and the owner came out an apologized personally. Great food and they really appreciate their customers here!
