Not happy with the meal. I ordered a chicken gyro platter and what I got was chopped up chicken a pita sliced in 4 and very poor resembles of a Greek salad and seasoned fries. It wasn’t what I expected at all.

Just happened to stop by here today in an area we don’t normally frequent. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh, well prepared, and delicious. I highly recommend this place, and I am extremely particular. Apparently, they have a belly dancer on Saturday nights, which sounds like fun. Our waiter, Andrew, is amazing and SUPERCUTE. Ask for him when you come here.

Where do I begin? Walked in and waited to be sat for 5 minutes due to there being no host and no server bothering to seat me so I sat at the bar. The gentleman at the bar ignored me for an additional 10 minutes and took 10 more to make a simple margarita. My silverware and plate were both dirty when my food came out and I had to send back the chicken kabob because it was undercooked. Just an awful experience and waste of 30 dollars. Will never return.

Good service from Maddie. Food was good but not stupendous or spectacular. I took a tour, the Greek way, with four foods from the Hellenic Republic — Mousakka, Spinach Pie, Pastitsio, and Dolmathes. Look at my picture and try to match the names with the food on the plate. It came with a Greek Salad. My wife had Greek Lasagna, which also included a salad. She said it was OK but needed more sauce around it, and it was burnt on one side. The best part was actually the garlic shrimp app served with pita bread points. The shrimp was perfect, sautéed in a succulent garlic & wine sauce with tomatoes, scallions & a touch of créme. The booze is cheap — I had a cava at $ 6 and my wife had a Corona at $ 4. So in Greek hindsight, we would rather have had just two shrimp appetizers and more alcohol. As an added treat we got to watch a belly dancer perform.

Delicious and generous platter’s. I had the Gyro Platter with meet and lamb; more than enough food for the money. Service was exceptional as well. I’m going to come back again next time I want Greek food.

Not the best food or service. I was surprised for how mediocre it was that there were so many people coming in as we were trying to leave. Our waiter was not trained well. We were on our lunch break and told him we were in a hurry, however he never did bring us our check. I had to ask the hostess to get it for us. I wouldn’t waste my time revisiting when there are so many other restaurants in the area. He also brought us out pita to start with, without asking if we wanted it, so we were slightly excited. However, when we got the check he charged us something for it, so be careful. Just kinda lame since we only ate a bite or two of it.

I’ve been wanting to check out Greek Island for a while now. I pass by them all the time and they’re always featured in the local coupon books in the mail. After receiving a coupon from them for a buy one entrée and two drinks, get one entrée free, we finally made a visit. It was dead when we got there around 5 pm on a Friday night. There was only one other customer in the restaurant. We were greeted quickly and told to have a seat wherever we like. The restaurant looks nice inside, and they have bar area. I ordered the Island Kebob($ 14). I like that you get a greek salad when you order this. The kebob is described on the menu as «traditional, hand chopped, spicy ground lamb». I didn’t find it spicy at all, but it was flavorful! I really liked this and would order it again. Besides the greek salad, the kebob is also served with rice, vegetables, and lemon potatoes, and tzatziki sauce. I liked the tangy flavor of the lemon potatoes. They give a nice contrast the the other flavors on the plate. The vegetables were underwhelming and the tzatziki sauce wasn’t that great either. I think that the taste of the tzatziki sauce makes huge difference at Greek/Mediterranean restaurants, and it’s a shame when the flavor is lacking. Overall, I think this was more of 3.5 star experience, but I decided to round up because my kebob was delicious and you get a pretty decent deal when you take advantage of their coupons.

A bit expensive for the area. You can get a Gyro Sandwich(Wrap) with potatoes and a drink at the Mediterranean Grill Midtown for $ 8.00.(In Midtown!) With a tip and no drink, the Gyro Sandwich cost me $ 12.00. Suwanee? Seriously? Having said that, this was the best darn Gyro Sandwich I’ve ever had! The sauce was light, but not overly ‘dilly’, the lamb meat was perfectly seasoned and moist, and the pita was to die for. The potatoes were in sliced form and were seasoned really well.(Had a Lemon & Garlic twang…) I will go back many times, just not as often as I’d like.(Re: Lunchtime Price Point)

Been meaning to stop by and try this place out. So I finally made it by today. Very nice place on the inside with lots of room. The dinner menu was simple and lots of the usual Mediterranean items. Prices were good and service was okay. The garlic shrimp linguini was pretty good as was the chicken gyro platter.

Both my husband and I often stop by for a quick bite here. I cannot remember been unhappy with anything I/we have ordered. Service is good and if there’s any kind of problem they’re willing ASAP to take care of it. I like its cleanliness and atmosphere!

We ate here on a weeknight. I don’t recall if I got a kabob or a gyro. The food was ok, as was the service. There was nothing wrong with the experience, but I don’t recall anything that stood out either. We might return for a 2nd try.

Greek island is located in a popular shopping center. at first glance I didn’t expect for it to be as big as it is on the inside. I was so surprised when I walked in. a friend and I walked in & were seated in a booth. This place is not expensive. But service is mediocre & the food is delicious. I’ve gone for lunch on server so occasions and the service does not wow me by any means. The food on the other hand does. Perhaps I’ll try take out!

Very nice and comfortable environment with super friendly staff, but lacking in food quality. We came here with the kids and tried a little bit of everything and nothing really stood out as being worth returning for. The highlight was the gyro platter and while the meat was good, the pita was lacking which being a Greek place you would think it anything that the pits and hummus would be good, but even the hummus was not to my linking. I would like to say we will give it another chance, but outside of it being a pretty inside with nice people I don’t see myself returning.

The date and I went here yesterday when he had a hankering for Mediterranean food. This place has barely been in business for two weeks, and it seems like it has been popular thus far. As we entered, the gal behind the register greeted us, and as we left, we received the same warm greeting(s) from the employees behind the register. Service wasn’t super quick since we arrived right at the dinner rush. Most of the tables here were filled, and the air was buzzing with delicious smells and laughter. The employees were attentive though even though it took them awhile to come by to take our order. The date’s chicken kabob was pretty good, but my island kabob was so much better as it had more flavor. These kabob plates comes with a decently sized salad, rice, and veggies. With the cleaning of his plate, the date was super satisfied. :) Glad I chose wisely on this restaurant. Lol. Overall, a pretty nice place for atmosphere and food. I just adore the subtle blue theme they had going on.

For my first visit, I am still in between on how I feel about this place. The atmosphere is very clean and nice(go figure, they just opened!). They have been trying to open for what seems like over 6 months. The bar area is full of liquor and has quite a selection. The location has a vast amount of seating to choose from. The service seems friendly but the staff was not completely sure on what is still going on. The staff definitely needs to work on knowing the menu and their service level. I had a chicken gyro sandwich with potatoes. It was okay. It came with the normal stuff. lettuce, tomatoes, onions, chicken gyro meat, and tzatziki sauce. For a greek restaurant, I must say that the gyro tasted pretty plain. Seemed like the meat had no seasoning and flavor. I’ve had plenty of gyros and this one was pretty bland. I’ll be back at some point I’m sure to try it again.
