I usually don’t write reviews but the experience I had here definitely warrants one. I made an appointment but there was still a lot of confusion when I came in – they were saying I had called to change my appointment to a later time, which I hadn’t. They still got me in right away, however the masseuse they gave me this time was a man. I had been here one time previously and had a female masseuse who was great. This time however I was in for thirty minutes and the guy told me my shoulders were really tight and asked if I wanted another 30 minutes ‘for free,’ or so I thought. What he actually said was ‘for forty’ which was an unpleasant surprise for me when I was finished. My real problem however was not the appointment confusion or the money. I ended up with a 60 minute full body massage and I was at least mildly uncomfortable the entire time. The draping was pretty questionable and as a young woman alone in a dark room with a man I felt exposed, but uncertain. The guy was asking me if I was okay every now and again and I felt that he was spending way too long on the butt region, but I had never had a full body massage so I wasn’t sure what was normal and what wasn’t. I continued to be uncomfortable with the exposure and the touching and his body parts brushing up against my hand but I chalked it all up to small mistakes and what I assumed must be the correct professional behavior. However towards the end, there was a moment that the touching became undoubtedly inappropriate and I don’t see how it could’ve been an accident. At that point I spoke up because that was the moment I knew it was too far. I have read many good reviews about this place but I don’t want any other women to have to lie there, uncertain, and end up going through what I went through with the male masseuse at this place. I debated whether or not I should post this, but I left feeling so disgusting that I wanted to help others avoid the same feeling.

I received a groupon for a full body deep tissue massage at BLC as a gift. I didn’t make an appointment even though I called earlier and was told I could just come in. When I arrived, the male receptionist stated that it would be 30 – 35 minutes for the massage and that I could come back, he was working. I said ok and proceeded to walk to the door then I paused. There was a sitting area that I could just wait at. The male receptionist came back in the room and said is everything ok and I said I might just wait in the waiting area. He gave me the look and stated whatever and went back behind the curtain, so I just left the place, I could see he didn’t want me to stay. In 35 minutes I returned, I was taken to the massage room. I got ready for the massage, got on the table face down, draped and in a few minutes a therapist arrived. She repositioned the towel and rubbed up and down 2 times. She then left the room for about 2 minutes or slightly more. She returned and started the massage again and in 4 or 5 minutes there was a knock on the door. She left the room again for about 4 minutes as I timed the event. At no other time did she leave for conversation with someone else. She did try to stop about 5 minutes early from the time she walked into the room to end but I said it hadn’t been an hour and she kept rubbing a few more minutes but not a full 60 especially with the interruptions. The massage was slightly lower than average for my personal experiences. The masseuse was friendly and nice even though she left the room on two occasions. If there was need to leave, she should have stated so to me but nothing was ever said and I lost time due to this rudeness, conducting business on my time. When the massage is over and I start to use the Groupon, she didn’t like that I handed her a piece of paper for payment so her and the male masseur/receptionist start talking in their native language that I didn’t understand. After about 15 seconds I said is everything ok and may I leave? He said yes so I tipped the masseuse and walked out. The massage was about 2.75 to 3 stars but because of my negative atmosphere and the comments(attitude at the beginning, leaving the room two times and the big issue with a groupon) I took one star away. Will I go back, No! Why, I do not like it when even one minute of my time is taken away for someone to conduct their business. It doesn’t matter if I did receive a discount on the massage; it wasn’t part of the Groupon purchase. I encourage everyone else to do the same as I have done, write a review and don’t go back. Eventually they will stop cheating us of our full time. My price range structure for 60 minutes of massage: Body Foot $=Below $ 45 $=Below 20 $$=46−50 $$=21−25 $$$=51−60 $$$=26−35 $$$$=60 and above $$$$=36 and above

Went there with my friend for foot massage today and we both loved it! Everyone is so nice and my feet feel amazing now. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to achieve relaxation for a reasonable price.

I bought a groupon for this place. First time I went great –second time ok. I still tipped 15 dollars for the hour even though the massage was not as good and I had to wait a half hour for my therapist. Third time they called me 5 minutes before my appointment to cancel saying that they don’t want to service me anymore because I’m pregnant. They had no problem the first two times and when I called to make the appointment I identified myself as the pregnant customer who had be seeing Eva. The worst part is I called the day of my appointment two and a half hours before to confirm and they didnt say anything. Instead they waited until I drove an hour in rush hour traffic to cancel and all they could say was«my bad» You can get a better quality massage at empress massage by discover mills and not worry about the unprofessional behavior It is clear they decided last minute they didn’t want to work and cancels on me with no thought or care.

VERYUNPROFESSIONAL! I never bother to write a review before but what I experienced is too much! I purchased Groupon deal for 3 — 60 mins massage with options: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot-Stone, Thai Massage. Something was always wrong since the first appointment 1÷31÷2012, I was told that somebody cancelled my appointment but they managed to find a massage therapist for me. I asked her about the hot-stone, she told me that I have to pay full price($ 80) and she said the Groupon offer is actually a mistake. I feel like I fell into their«bait and switch» offer so I called Groupon to get partial credit, but there was a note said that they need to train a new person to perform hot stone massage and will be ready in March 2012. So I waited. I called again to set up my 2nd appointment and asked for hot stone. They gave me an appointment on 3⁄23 but then couple days before the date, a guy called to rescheduled since the massage therapist is sick because of allergy. They scheduled me again on 03⁄27. I was on my way to their place and after 40 mins of driving, I called them to notify that I might be a little late since I was trapped in an unexpected traffic. The guy who picked up the phone told me that he FORGOT to write down my appointment! He said there were too many calls and they were busy so he forgot to write down my appointment. He also mentioned that the other massage therapist that I was scheduled with got an allergy too so she cannot concentrate. I don’t know what’s going on, whether or not they actually did make a mistake about the hot stone offer so they gave me a hard time, but they really have to be responsible with what they advertised and valued customers’ time and treat customers right.
