Nice good food good service could work on the sauces. The Duck was a little dry. But over all a nice dining experience

Simple food done very well using the best quality Glatt kosher products. Great pride of ownership. The burger is the best burger in town. Seriously. I say that and I don’t follow kosher because I am not Jewish. But it doesn’t matter. All are welcome. The place is a bit eccentric compared to other restaurants. The vibe is a bit. something slightly off… and the crowd is almost all Jewish, many orthodox and conservative. The food is very good. The sushi so delicious. I love the seabass roll, the«scallops», pizza sushi, any of the sushi is actually quite good. Pricey, but good. The steaks are dry aged and butchered in house. Very tender. I like the king reserve cut. The owner is bit… passionate, shall we say. But as someone in the industry I can understand the dilemma. Customers order food then try to send back perfectly prepared dishes isn’t fair. So he doesn’t do refunds for silly returns. At $ 40-$ 80 a steak, why should the house take the loss when the guest ordered the food and nothing is wrong with it or can be easily fixed? I find that the staff tries really hard to please the guest, from my experience. The restaurant is a family owned/operated place. Just don’t piss off the owner and you will have a great time. I haven’t been back in a very long time but I still send people there all the time. Yes, customer service can be improved. And so can guest behavior, in my opinion. Mmm, I want that burger with the mushroom/cherry pepper sauce. So good.

Was just there at the bucher shop. I tried half a dozen items with the manager choosing them and insisting it was the best in the country. What a misstatement lol. The cured meats were dry and lacked flavor. 4 of the 6 were really no good. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Their restaurant next door is supposed to be good so you can always try that.

My recent visit to Miami was great — and Harbor Grill was a big part of it I ate the«outlaw steak» it was heaven, really tasty and delicious, the soups are great(i had the house soup — broccoli blended) We were served by Aron He was Quick and courteous and we will definitely recommend the Harbor Grill to our friends and family. Pricing is not as expensive — it’s within the lower range of comparable Kosher restaurants.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with my family. The food was good, the service was friendly but disorganized. We asked for bread. Had to ask many times. It was brought after the entrees. It was fresh. I think they baked it after we requested it. Sushi: Salmon avocado roll,& avocado roll. Fresh and tasty. Nicely presented. Served without ginger or wasabi. Had to ask for it and wait a while longer Chicken soup, grilled chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My uncle liked his dishes. Chicken and pecan salad. My mom loved her dish. I had the Harbour Grill salad with grilled salmon. Very fresh and tasty and filling. The balsamic vinaigrette went well. Grilled bourbon salmon. Fresh, tasty. Scallops– very good texture for faux scallops, really tasty sauce. Prepared very well. Sliders.(my dad ordered these and loved them) For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and chocolate lava cake. While these did not resemble the samples brought they were quite tasty. Overall, the food is good here. It is also presented nicely. It’s quite pricey, but as expected for kosher fine dining. The service is friendly but somewhat disorganized. We had reservations and were on time. Bread should have been prepared and brought out first. Having to request things many times detracts from the dining experience. It wasn’t busy when we first arrived so not sure why this happened or if it is standard there. I would give them another chance when my family is in town again.

This place is lit! So don’t bring an average crew. Instead, treat yourself and the best people you know to a rockin’ meal with some epic eats. I chose to roll with my #1 fam squad for our grams 90th bday bash. Don’t sleep on this place… It pops off! Any place that can still have my 90 year old gma and satisfy this kosher Czech butcher is fine with me. Grams had the lamb, cousin Kurt had the ribs, cousin Paula(no, not Paula Dean) had the pepper crusted steak(mad spicy), baby sis had some grilled chick salad and I had the spicy tuna roll. We got onion rings as the side and we all went to town. I def recc this restaurant to any Glott Kosher fam! Thanks Harbour Grill!

Good food but the service was poor and slow. And despite all the mess-ups and delays, nothing was even offered us to try and make it right, even after mentioning it to the manager.

The main reason I give this place a 2 start is because they got the sushi right. Otherwise, the service was horrible. We were seated right away but were not greeted by our waitress until ten mins after being seated. At that time we were ready to order. She took our order and disappeared for an hour, to say the least. Our food arrived(finally) then when ready to leave, we ask for the check. Disappeared again. I couldn’t wait any longer. I literally had to get up and walk to her with my card to just charge it. I would assume working in client service, you would feel bad or realize how long you’ve kept your tables waiting, and acknowledge it. Instead, she brought back the receipt and barely said thank you!

No stars for this restaurant. Was here a week ago and the service was beyond terrible. Our food was not cooked the way we wanted it to and we asked to send it back and get something else. The manager refused to help was and was extremely rude. He called the cops on us because we did not want to pay for the steak on our bill because it was not cooked the way we asked and they would not fix it for us. The manger told us that«it was not part of his job description to make us happy» so what exactly is your job sit? When speaking to the owner she told us that we «don’t know how to order steak». Excuse me??? Who are you to tell me how to order my food? Will definitely never go back go this restaurant. One of the workers accused us of not having money to pay for it. We were really offended. This management is being run by a bunch if clowns each one bigger than the next. There are so many more kosher meat restaurants such as RARE and FUEGO which I would much rather try on my next visit to Miami.

Do I need to give any stars!!! This is my email that I sent to the owner and never received an apology nor a reply to the email. We started off our meal really enjoying it, commenting on the sliders and the tenderness of the short ribs starter and ended off the meal with a threat of calling the authorities. I am sadly sending you an email complaining about your management of your Resturaunt harbor grill. According to the manager and mashgiach my experience was due to your last call which makes me very disappointed because I eat out very often and don’t ever get treated the way I did tonight. Iv been to your Resturaunt about a year ago and never had a situation like this either. Tonight I ordered the rib eye steak and had ordered it medium on the more well side. We received a rare rib eye which had turned me off from the entire steak, I planed on ordering a burger because of the disappointment. they had informed that the kitchen was closing and that there was soap on the grills and was impossible. Some how they were able to put the steak back on the grill yet it still wasn’t appetizing but weren’t able to make us a burger. When the waitress explained that it wasn’t under her control we asked to speak to the manager. He approached us, I explained to him the situation he said he can not make us anything and can not take the steak off the bill. We didn’t see any reason to pay for something we didn’t want or eat. Explaining to the waiter that I was still very hungry The manager made fun of me saying«did you lose your appetite or your still hungry» The number one thing about owning a Resturaunt is customer service. I dine out very often and have never experienced something like this in my life! the food is only 50% of the Resturaunt! The manager claimed that customer service was not a part of his job criteria, I even asked him to give you a call so that you can tell me that to my face as an owner of a Resturaunt in a service industry I would hope that he was incorrect about that. The fact of the matter is that these little details about the«case» is not what’s important, did she cut the steak this way, did she taste it, was it really rare, check the cameras! All these comments are stupidity non of that even matters ! the bottom line was that we weren’t happy, YOUR customer wasn’t leaving remotely satisfied, and no one was looking to change that. Several of the waiters mentioned how this wasn’t the first time you called the police on YOUR customer and when the cops got here a waiter even asked the officer if he was enjoying his weekly visit. While the officers were there your mashgiach also had the nerve to claim that we just didn’t have the money for it. Iv never in my life been so disrespected and how dare he! coming to a kosher meat resteraunt in Miami with out money does not make any sense, that comment was uncalled for is rude and disrespectful! We would rather give the 40 $ to Sedaka then pay you for something we didn’t order! All I saw tonight was a hilul hashem in many different ways. The Officers let us know that they get phone calls often about the same situation from Harbour Grill and the manager and mashgiach always give them the same problem. So honestly this seems like something that’s on the management’s part and you guys seem like the boy who cried wolf. As we were finally leaving 3 hours later the mashgiach came outside and told the officers to suspend us from the Resturaunt which is honestly embarrassing, Iv come to your Resturaunt with my family in the past and for me to be banned because of the way you guys handle your selves only shows more ugly on your part. To call the police instead of handling the situation on your own is irresponsible and shows a lack of knowledge about the service industry. I wanted to let you know that I will not be coming back as long as the circumstances are the same and you guys continue to handle yourselves the same way and I will be giving you guys a bad review on Unilocal, and as many kosher blogs as I can get intouch with, until I receive a legitimate apology about my horrific experience at your Resturaunt Harbour grill.

Terrible service!!! The staff was extremely rude. we got in touch with the owner after being so bothered by the way we were being treated. Turns out he was worse than his staff. He was such a jerk didn’t care at all! Absolutely zero customer service here. And the food was not prepared well at all for a pricey Resturant like this I would at least expect the food to be worth it.

I used to come to this restaurant regularly, steaks are testy and the atmosphere is pleasant. Two month ago I took a client for lunch, we placed our order, but after 35 min, we were still waiting. eventually after asking the waitress a numbers of times, our sushi arrived, as always it was pretty testy. I asked for soy sauce, but the waitress did not bring it, so I got up and pick it up myself, after we were done with our first course, the waitress brought my clients meal but not mine, I asked her about mine and she said they had a problem with the computer system, we waited 30 more minutes and eventually the steake arrived. I asked her to please bring another drink and hot sauce, but she did not bring it, I then went to fetch it. We ordered the bill and 18% tip was pre added, as I did not believe the service deserved 18% tip, I approached the owner and asked him to please take it off /he became rude and called me all sort of names, according to him I was cheap, he then asked me if I was jewish /I said I was, then he said: well then you much be Ashkenazi, I told him that I was not, that I was Sephardic, he then stated that he could not Belive it, and continued with his horrendous comments. Conclusion: Avoid this place by all means!!! /sadly the food was good, but the owner is not a good person according to my experience. For a similar experience(food wise, go to Fuego at Aventura)

Visiting from Los Angeles with very high end kosher steakhouses. The restaurant is on the average side in comparison. The portions were not as big as advertised. Ordered the sliders, short rib appetizer and tomahawk steak. The short ribs were very tasty but mostly made up of fat, which was not edible. The steak also had a lot of fat, small but also good. Sliders, nothing to write home about. Priced as a very high end steakhouse. Overall, an ok dining experience, if return to Miami would try somewhere else like Rare which was closed due to water damage.

My family has eaten there several times over the last few years. The food had been pretty good. But after our last experience, we will never step foot in there again: My wife ordered the lamb chops. She loves them and orders then occasionally to treat herself… they are usually the most expensive item on a menu. She considers herself a connoisseur, and makes them at home. She ordered them the last time we were at Harbor Grill, and they tasted funny. So she called over the waiter and told him. At most restaurants, if they care about customer service and pleasing their patrons, they would have taken them and asked my wife to order something else. He went to the kitchen and the owner came out with a tray filled with raw lamb chops… he said they smell fine to him, and walked away. We should have done the same, but we have more class than the owner of this place. He wouldn’t take them back and let my wife order something else. The waiter was embarrassed. My wife shared my dinner, and we paid our bill and left. That’s the last time they will see us there!

I wasn’t going to comment till I saw the comment about the owner berating an elderly couple. The same thing happened to me. I went with my daughter’s family which included 4 children. As soon as we got seated this crazy guy comes over to the table and starts screaming at me. Later I found out it was because he didn’t like the way I responded to him when he greeted us at the door. I was going to get up and walk out but the kids were hungry and my wife made me stay. But I will never go back there. Truth is that if I got that kind of treatment anywhere else without the kids around I would have flattened him out without caring about any consequences and I’m a 64 y/o zaydy.

We were in the restaurant the night that the owner so berated the elder couple that I would not go back. The owner should go to anger management courses. I know that we are locked into going to kosher restaurants but everyone desires to be treated with dignity. The owner was standing over the woman and pointing his finger. Unfortunately, we experienced slow service and we had the sliders to start. The meat was not warm. We also tried the avocado salad which was good. Avocado was moist and properly ripe. Staff is helpful but we were not impressed and the prices are high. The ribs involved in the incident are on the menu for $ 48.00.

We had a 4 or 5 star experience easy, but had to take away a couple stars due to our fellow diner’s experience, which was appalling! An elderly couple who had ordered ribs as one of their starters told the waiter it was cold. He took it to the kitchen and then returned with the same plate, convincing them to just try it. Next thing we know, the owner was arguing with the old lady with a raised voice about how she’s wrong and it was cooked perfectly. The husband finally gets up with his cane, nearly falling over, to get in his face to stop yelling at his wife. The owner doesn’t back down and the couple proceed to walk towards the door to leave. The owner runs to the door and locks them in, blocking them from leaving and calls the cops and telling them they are thieves! The couple backs away, returns to their table to pay the bill and leaves. This scene was made in front of a restaurant full of customers and was a horrible way to treat anyone, let alone a paying customer! He should be ashamed! Here was our experience: We were seated immediately and our menu and specials were explained by a friendly waitress. We ordered smoked drumettes, Kobe sliders, and lamb chops for starters. The chicken was ok but the sliders were delicious and the lamb was juicy and cooked perfectly. We ordered the dry aged tomahawk steak special that was one of the most amazing pieces of meat we ever ate! It was crispy on the edges, juicy and red inside, buttery, perfection! One of us had the burger which was nothing special and hard to cut and chew. We had to wait a while after our meal to order desserts. The cappuccinos were delicious and the Napoleon was ok. Too bad the owner ruined our experience and lowered my rating of a very good restaurant.

We made a reservation very last minute and they were very accommodating. The restaurant was full when we got there. We sat down and began ordering. Usually at kosher restaurants I find that the service is terrible, but here our waitress was great! The food was delicious as well! I got a hamburger which was rich in taste, it came with French fries. One of my brothers got the less expensive steak and the other got the most expensive steak.(Sorry for lack of description) To sum It up, the less expensive was just as good. The sushi was delicious. I am definitely going back! I am dreaming about that hamburger !

AVOID — I ate here before and remembered the great sushi they offered, so I took my friend here for dinner. WHAT A HUGEMISTAKE. She ordered her steak medium and I ordered a roll. When the food came her steak was well done and was missing the side sauce. My roll was missing toppings and a sauce as well. When we got the waiter he started arguing with my friend that she ordered her steak medium well not medium. It was impossible to eat it! i asked for the manager, who also started arguing that the food was prepared right and that if my roll was missing anything it was the sushi chef’s fault — not the waiter;s. I’m sorry, but a waiter should know what each dish should look like, and should NOT bring out incomplete dishes. Then the manager got upset and started yelling at us when my friend said that the meat tasted horrible — BECAUSEITWASOVERCOOKED. it was the worst experience ever. We were told if we wanted another steak it would take 20 minutes — that was redIculous. I paid for my roll and wine and we left. Luckily we were able to get a great meal at THEGREEKPLACE just up the street. Do not come here expecting any type of service. the re are other kosher places in the area that are much better and where you can actually enjoy a relaxed meal. HORRIBLE!
