Looooved this place. Original food, fresh, delish. Wish we had in NY. Service was friendly, atmosphere trendy. One of those«what?! It’s kosher?!» places. Not a big hit with my kids just because they want what they know. I plan on coming every time I’m in Miami.

Had a great time here last night. Ordered the sushi pizza, mozzarella cheese sushi tempura roll, cream of carrot soup, blueberry cheesecake, and a couple teas. Food is pricy but great. Ambiance is so nice. Maitre d got us a table even though we didn’t have reservation(place was full due to vacation). Sushi pizza was very tasty, albeit small. Sushi was amazing as was $ 4 cream of carrot. My wife loved the cheesecake. But here’s what boggles me: a cup of tea is $ 5, but a bowl of soup is $ 4. When I asked about this, the waitress kindly took one off but told me that they are«seasonal teas.» How that justifies the price beats me. To be honest, if the soup was more expensive, I wouldn’t of noticed. Please change the price of the tea(maybe to $ 3) and I’ll change this review to five stars because this place deserves five. I’d return in a second here even if they don’t change the prices. I’d like to try the chef’s sampler($ 45). I highly suggest it. It comes out on a large cutting board and is a great way to try a lot of 26’s best foods.

Last night I went to dinner with close friends from New Jersey. The food was fresh, hot, and really good. I think the Nitro Scallops are some of the best tapas I’ve ever had! We ordered the Gyoza, the Nitro Scallops, the Edamame, the«Dumplings», the«Mozzarella sticks», the«trio frites», the fried kale and 2 desserts(including the cheesecake which is phenomenal). It was one of the best non-meat dinner’s I’ve had in a long time. The ambiance is great, the service is great and the food is great. Highly recommended!

Sushi was not good. I love sushi and always recommend makoto, sushi house or even doraku for anyone looking for an epic culinary experience. This place was packed and took forever to get my food out. I had to wait an hour for cancha(appetizer) Very unpleasant experience.

I give this one star only because of the poor waiter who tried hard to make us happy. We were actually very excited to try this restaurant after hearing great things about it. Made a reservation for 6.30, they gave me a hard time over the phone pretending they were fully booked(really? At 6.30 pm?!) they also had the guts to ask me if it was my first time there, making me understand that they have special regards for regulars. Anyway, we show up and they say our reservations were for 6.45 even though there were literally 10 empty table that nobody occupied in the following hour, they made us wait. 26 reasons why not to eat at 26, I am gonna mention only a few, for the rest feel free to PM me Arrived 6 minutes early, half restaurant is empty, hostess tells me we have to wait for our table. Order food immediately for children, the same 2 sushi rolls, they only bring one, 20 minutes later, child is crying hungry and they are still working on the second roll which was exactly the same as the first one! What’s corvina? Latin for the leftover gefiltefish they put in your ceviche, sushi roll and your sampler. When your appetizers show up after you finish your main course. The sampler appetizer is a big waste of money, totally gross. 4 of us shared it and nobody liked it. Tuna ceviche that’s probably more well suited for your cat, oh no, why would you do that to your cat?! It is ridiculously expensive, beyond kosher expensive. 18% gratuity of course they have to include it. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I still have to find a good kosher restaurant in the area, is it really that difficult?

The very Best. I have been going to eat for the past three months to 26 sushi and tapas, at least twice a week. The food is extremely excellent. Service is superb. Specially the new manager Gretel«she is the best» you have to try the Tuna Tower and the Maduro and coconut roll. Delicious!!!

*UPDATED* We dined outside with our dog and asked the waitress to please bring us some water for the pooch while we dined. Waitress advised that their managers do not allow them to bring dogs water. Claims that it is against«Florida code». This is a complete lie as every other restaurant happily provides water for dogs. Thankfully the waitress did eventually bring us water for the dog. Food was pretty good but not great. Besides the dog water issue the service was great otherwise. One of our rolls was taking a bit so they sent out a complimentary dish while we waited. We’ll likely give it another shot to decide if it will remain in the rotation.

Nikkei at its best l!(Peruvian– Japanese) I have never experienced a Kosher restaurant like this! Superb in every aspect! Happy Hour includes $ 5 tapas that were exceptional and two for one drinks.(you can also order from the regular menu) You have to sit at the bar… But that was a plus due to the great personality of the two bartenders! Bar was not and should not be crowded because we if the Jewish faith are not really known for our drinking!! All the staff was wonderful and we even got to meet he Chef-Owner Fernando Chang.

Recently went here with friends for a get together. The food was good, although portions smaller then other places. Also quite pricey for what you’re getting. The area is good and bustling, really nice at nights Overall however, classy atmosphere

Awesome sushi, even better service! We’re picky Californians in Miami for a few days of vacation and found this gem. Karate kid & el heat roll were amazing. Santiago was a rockstar and took care of us all night. Highly recommended!

The menu is delicious, so this review is not about the flavor or the quality. But their average Maki is $ 18 — and the most embarrassingly thin slices of «sushi» I’ve ever seen, let alone at these prices. The sushi cuts were quite literally thinner than the tip of my chopstick(as evidenced by the photo I posted) — resulting in sushi that is almost entirely devoid of the flavor of sushi, and entirely about the filler(rice, cucumber, apple, avocado, microgreens aka alfalfa, etc.). If I were behind this sushi bar, I’d consider Hari Kari before sending these dishes off to the unsuspecting public. So I write this review to –ahem– suspect the public. Don’t come here expecting first rate«sushi» — come here expecting first rate«food» with a sushi-esque feel. *Edit* yes, the sushi chef did provide a complimentary serving of super lean unflavorful hamachi(it was almost kanpachi but whatevs) when I lamented about the portion of fish. But please don’t put me in that position in the first place. Wow me with your menu insights on balancing flavor & ingredients — don’t make me worried about contributing to the overall price inflation of real estate in Miami. What, is that roll made with heirloom apples dusted with unicorn tears? Meh. I’ve definitely experienced better sushi. But I’ll admit the salmon robota was excellent. thanks for the reply and good luck.

Excellent food and service. Must try the sushi pizza and the lettuce wraps. Drinks are also excellent, we tried the cucumber-rita, lychee martini and the Sandra. Cool ambience as well!

One of the best spots in North beach! The flavor a here were one of a kind and superb. By far one of the best restaurants visited. The bar was beautiful and service was friendly and inviting. Helpful to reserve a table here in advance but they were also very accommodating for last minute dinner plans. Variety of drinks offered and the highlight of my meal was the edamame two ways– AMAZING– and the Branzino over risotto was one of the most well constructed meals I have ever experienced. Would fly out to Miami again just for dinner here!

First time trying this place out! We were on our way back home after a two hour beach walk! I ordered the passionfruit lemonade and it was amazing! Refreshing and full of flavor! After, we order the Salmon w quinoa and chaufa special! Its the monday special for only $ 18. All i can say is this. That was the most amazing meal I have had in a very long time! I wanted to grab people walking by(we were seating outside) and tell them all about it or ask them to please try it! It was THAT good! My partner ordered the Miami Spice meal! We had tostones with ceviche! INCREDIBLE! so full of flavor! And then the Surfside rolls… I personally do not like sushi. But i had two of hers. They were amazing! We ended the meal with a blueberry cheesecake, and well… We had to fight each other off for each bite! We were truly impressed! The service was excellent as well, and our experience was so good we will be coming back!

I can’t get over the fact that 26 weekly specials get better and better every time I go to eat there. Staff is always great, friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable of the food they serve. Me not being a sushi enthusiast I can honestly say that 26 has the only sushi roll that I will ever eat anywhere! Keep up the good work and keep making AMAZING food!

What a find in Surfside! Everything was superb. The service was wonderful, very attentive through out the entire meal. The presentation of the food was only surpassed by the gastronomic flavors that accompanied each and every dish we ordered. Wonderful Sushi with a Peruvian flare. Excellent quality of fish. We ordered many dishes from tuna tower, cerviche, sushi pizza, ending with a apple cronut! Looking forward to returning to try new dishes !

Glad to see new restaurants open up on north Harding near the mall after decades of just crusty shops and restaurants in this sleepy old strip. However, 26, I truly hate to say I was disappointed. I really wanted to like you, 26, I really did!!! Firstly, about the grub… The hamachi tacos were the first thing we tried, which were awesome. Fresh, light, and simple. Delicious. We were off to a good start. My server recommended Caribbean maki roll of the plantain chips and faux shrimp with cilantro aioli and I truly wish he had not. This roll needs to be completely removed from the menu and reassessed by the chef and the owner. It is painfully dry, lacks dimension, and most of all flavor. We requested the ceviche since we figured it would be a safe dish to try, but it was instead over-seasoned and hard to eat. So disappointed. I’m happy to say service was welcoming and friendly. Thumbs up there. I promise I am not being picky or overly critical. The dated interior didn’t bother me(think ultra contemporary white circa 2001), even the lack of background music or lack of ambience(there’s more ambience inside a PF Chang’s in comparison) and the menu prices were not an issue. The food is just in need of a serious SOS. All in all I treat this as a fair and honest critique for the management and the owner. With direct competition like Makoto just a few feet away, 26 needs to heavily step up their game in order to survive.

Wowwwwwwwww. I just finished my meal and it was amazing ! First, the service was extraordinary ! Food came very quick and even quicker the pasta and fish and chips for my kids. The appetizers are very different and the flavor was great. Specially the nitro scallops. The rolls are unique! I was blown away by the Maduros con Coco, the Cumbia and the Chiquis rolls. I have never tried such an exquisite sushi. Leave room for the desert sample platter. It’s not to small, not to big and the mix of flavors will give that final punch of making you wanting to come back here for more.
