Came here on Tuesday with my fiancé after my doctor appt for dinner. the service is horrible I dont know how many times I had to ask for soda. No menu was given to us when we sat down. We asked for our check numerous time, but was forgotten. If i didnt go up there to pay we would still be sitting there for hours. If i could give it a no star I would have. the food isnt that great either.

After reading the reviews, i was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was succulent, and rice was cooked perfectly. Would definitely return. Well done new saigon!

If I can go back in time, I will definitely not step foot in this restaurant. Horrible service and horrible food from start to finish. The food here sucks, the noodle in my number 1 big bowl is all broken up, I don’t see one noodle strand that’s longer than 3 inches, can’t even eat it with my chopsticks! The soup lacks flavor. The beef doesn’t taste very fresh, I think maybe it was sitting out for awhile already. The viet spring rolls were so oily and it wasn’t wrapped correctly or something, because every single of them has a hole in it and oil is just leaking from the hole. The wait staff were all horrible, they were all very loud and yelling across the restaurant. One waiter is cleaning up behind our table, while yelling at another waiter all the across the restaurant on the other side. This goes on the whole time we were having a meal there. I am so surprised the owner is okay with this? They were not polite at all, not polite when they took our order, not polite when they threw the plates of food on our table, not polite when they give us the check! Just HORRIBLE! To top it all off, I have a bad habit of never taking the customer copy of the credit card receipt. I always just sign whichever copy and leave the tips on it and leave. Apparently, this time it got me in trouble and humiliated! So i signed the customer copy of the credit card receipt and wrote the tips on there, then I saw the merchant copy of the credit card receipt, so I just threw it on top and left it blank. We attempted to leave the restaurant, then next thing I know, there’s a loud yelling by one of the waiters, I think he yelled and said we didn’t leave tips and wanted the waiters in the front to stop us. The whole restaurant turned to look at us. Then a few waiters stopped us in the front, as if they want to beat us up, they were all yelling, you no tip, YOUNOTIP!!! YOUHAVETOTIP! I calmly showed them the customer copy that was underneath, and then they said, OHOKAY. Then they let us leave. I swear, I think this place is owned by the triad or something, because the way they were acting, they definitely look like thugs and enforcers.

They changed owners and the name of the restaurant but their food is still delicious! They added bbq onto their menu and added grills in the restaurant as well but I still haven’t tried their bbq food yet. Will definitely try it out soon! :)

In the past this restaurant was only catering Vietnamese food until a few years ago they changed it to Korean BBQ/Vietnamese restaurant. The ownership of the place also has changed. I came here for a late lunch with my friends as we were waiting to get his car fixed. The food here is okay, but pricey. Normally, our go to dish is #1 phở; but we wanted to try something different. We shared a large spring roll and beef noodles. The noodles were okay. There wasn’t much flavoring and the dish was small compared to the #1 phở. The spring rolls were over fried and small. Basically, I wouldn’t come back here since our bill came out to be $ 21 for 2 dishes. It was ridiculously pricey for small portion sizes.

I ordered grill pork chop and Vietnamese. soup noodle today. The noodle smelt a little strange, smelt like being crawled over by cockroaches. I wasn’t sure so I did not complain. I guess even if I complained, they won’t admit it. The pork chop was hard and grilled unevenly. One side was a little burn, the other side was cocked but just plain white. I won’t go back there again.

This replaced an older Viet restaurant, maybe something Hoa, not too sure. The food is typical of any Viet restaurant in NYC. What’s different is they also have options for bbq and other non-Viet items. We only tried the Viet items and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, the taste, and the service.

They’ve changed the name of the place, but not the chefs, furnitures, decors, or waiters. So my conclusion is that their sole purpose was to reduce the annual tax because if a restaurant is open for many years, the tax steadily increases with respect to the economic situation. They’ve hiked up the prices while simultaneously decreased the portion. Ok, maybe its quality over quantity. Nope! There was nothing special about their dishes that make it authentic Vietnamese food. Service is terrible, but what did I expect from a restaurant located in 8th ave, owned by a Chinese person? I hate deducting stars for poor service and dining experience, because that can easily be changed by firing the rude ones, and hiring more passionate servers.

Came here on a Sat afternoon for lunch after a busy day running around doing errands. It was buzzing with activity as most establishments are along Brooklyn’s 8th Ave Chinatown. This one was no different. Picked a table for 8 and was seated quickly. From then on, ordering was a breeze even though the menu was quite extensive. If you’ve ordered from one Vietnamese restaurant you’ve pretty much seen them all. Went with something I can give you a fair comparison on– their phở xe lua. The food arrived and was well received. The broth was quite good, although the flank steak in the soup didn’t arrive pink, it was nearly well done. This tells us that it may have been sitting in the broth for a bit too long. Beyond that, service was manageable as was the décor, ambiance, price & food.

We ordered spring rolls and pork. with rice. The pork was burnt and overcooked also over charged. We piaid close to.9 $ for the rice. The spring rolls were crispy but there wasnt much meat inside. It was mostly the skin. I think this was about $ 5 for. only four pieces. Overall, the food was below par and a bit over priced, i.would.rather .gia lam on 48th street.

Soup is the most important part of phở. If the base isn’t good, everything else becomes crap as well. This is exactly how they serve their phở, bland. I liked the fresh ingredients they used but that didn’t matter because it was essentially tasteless. Spring rolls were okay. But I won’t be revisiting. No thanks.

Been here many times. Their service is always simple, quick, and easy. You order, receive, eat, pay and you’re done. The only difference this place is from other Viet restaurants are their spring rolls. They tend to be a lot paler than a normal spring roll that has that golden crispy brown color from other Viet restaurants. Nonetheless, the taste is still good and flavorful. The exterior is crispy and crunchy while the interior is nice and hot, cooked all the way through and juicy. Their noodles are good too. The place is casual, quiet, and clean. The staffs are all very friendly with great service. They tend to your every need.

Staff a little but rude and the grilled pork and shredded pork weird with the shredded pork being some sad pale pork strips. Fried rice(for $ 2.00 extra) not worth it. Overall still ok because I love the spring rolls. Crispy and mostly meat filling, best wrapped with lettuce.

I come here once in a while for take-out with my boyfriend when we’re in the Sunset Park area. This used to be Nha Trang Palace, but they still serve Vietnamese food and the décor looks the same too. The only difference is that it is more expensive and very expensive for Brooklyn. Their spring rolls are fried to perfection, crunchy, and delicious. I usually get the beef cubes over rice with lettuce and tomatoes. I recently had this and it’s not as good as the ones I’ve had at other Vietnamese restaurants. It felt very dry and not enough sauce either. And $ 7.95 for this particular dish is really expensive. I think I would be coming here as much as it is quite pricey and the quality isn’t all that great. I would definitely go to Gia Lam instead which is just a few blocks away for better food and decent price too.

I came here with a large group. We were promptly seated and accommodated. I ordered the seafood phở, which was huge. Most of the seafood was imitation like crab and fish balls. The soup also included squid and shrimp. The soup came with bean sprouts, basil, and lemon. The bowl was huge and only 7.95. I couldn’t even finish. The staff had no issue doing separate checks, and they take cards too.

First impressions doesn’t always mean it will work out second time around! Here for the second time, boy was I disappointed! Ordered their 3 flavored beef vermicelli and the lettuce were brown! Yuck! I was hungry and had errands to do right afterwards so whatever, scooped out whatever I could. The beef is flavorless and did not think there was anything special. I mean… what happened?!

Some of you may be waiting to visit because you aren’t sure if it’s like the old«Nha Trang.» Well… It’s looks just like Nha trang inside but with a cheap makeover with added table stoves and large vents on top of every table. I guess they offer hotpot or bbq? But I didn’t notice on the menu and no one was eating anything but phở. Their phở has dropped in standard. The phở is overcooked and the broth more oily than before. Their shrimp paste with sugar cane is not as good anymore, lacking lots of the flavor it used to have. I usually don’t care about décor but the renovations have made this place pretty hard to stand. Also, the guy that works here has the baddest attitude on 8th ave. I don’t expect good service on 8th ave but he is beyond rude.

This place used to be called Nha Trang Palace, but they’ve changed management, done some interior renovations(there are now overhead hoods at every table for hot pot/BBQ), and revamped their menu a bit. Not to fear, they still have all of the phở bowls that they used to have, as well as the banh mi. But they’ve added some tasty new stuff too. The coconut/curry mussels were really good and as is the case with mussels, portions were big. We also tried their new 7 courses of beef, which was interesting. It came with 7 different beef preparations — salad, hot pot, meat balls, tenderloin, and several different types of sausages(it was also supposed to come with congee, but they were out of it, so they substituted more sausage). Best parts were the tenderloin, the beef balls, and the lotus leaf-wrapped sausage. The 7 courses was $ 27 and enough food for three people as an entrée; but I’d recommend sharing it with four or five and ordering other food to share family style. Nha Trang was one of my favorite restaurants on 8th avenue, and from what I’ve seen so far, New Saigon is even better! Bonus: they still have an alcohol license so you can fill up on Vietnamese beers.
