I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by this place and never tried it. Today I was invited here for lunch. It’s a small quaint little place, but the food was really good and the service was phenomenal. The garlic rolls are amazing! I had lasagna which was very good as well. I’ll definitely be returning.

I just ate at Mario’s, after moving away almost 30 years ago. Mario’s was as good as I remembered. With amazing garlic rolls and a great baked ziti I am going to have to come up with more reasons to be back in town!

Had a friend suggest we try this place, as we love Italian food. It was absolutely yummy and a great portion for a great price. I had the Chicken, lasagna, baked ziti parmigiana and my wife had the Parmigiana Combo chicken, veal & eggplant. They were both so good and such a large portion we had enough for dinner tonight. They also have the best garlic rolls

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Horrible service, server was horrible at explaining the menu. My girlfriend and I each tried one of the soups of the day. Both were extremely plain with practically no flavor. Then the veal cutlets came out, wow! Nothing on the plate other than a piece bread with with defrosted veal that tastes like crap. Then all covered with a spoon of marinara and a pound of cheese. Greasy and tastes plain as well. Best part of all it cost me $ 25.50! Save your money, I could eat a very nice meal with my girlfriend for that kind of price! Probably the worst food I have ever had!

I’m from new York so Italian food gas a lot to prove to me when I dine at an Italian place. I went here as my cousin said it’s their usual spot the food is great. We had a private area and a great server, he was very attentive and kept making sure we had everything we need and wanted. He was great at explaining the menu and guiding us on what to order. I am accustomed to having family style servings at Italian resteraunts but Marios is not like that. However, the food is good. The wings are a must have, they were cooked perfectly and had the right ratio of sweetness and spiciness. I had the shrimp scampi with linguini and marinara sauce. The serving was small I believe I got six shrimp and I was expecting it to be much bigger shrimp than what I had. The scampi was good but it tasted very garlic like. The linguini was good and the sauce tasted great. Almost everyone at my table had different types of pizza and it was great. The«personal pie» has 6 slices which is equivalent to a medium pizza from pizza Hut. It was delicious, looked really greasy but that’s pizza! What I liked was that it was very thin which made for a good eat. The chicken parm was delicious and I’m not a parm lover. I ask had the red wine which was very good. I enjoyed it and felt a buzz after 3 glasses. This is a great spot for family I would definitely recommend.

Went to this restaurant for dinner last night. I love going to little mom and pop Italian restaurants because they are far superior to those big chains. The food was really good. The Italian wedding soup was delicious and hot. The same goes with the Penne a la Vodka. My problem wasn’t with the food or our server. The problem I had was walking in the door 45 mins before they were suppose to close and an older gentleman greeting us to the tune of «Hi welcome, we are closing at 9 so if you are not going to spend an hour eating we will be more than happy to accommodate you.» Customer service is a big part of the equation of me returning, and while the food was excellent I’m stilled shocked by the lack of respect to the consumer.

The food was burnt or just plain not good. My friend got baked ziti, the ziti was hard as rocks and burnt. My other friend who got pasta and meat balls said the meat balls were not good. The service was subpar. Our server took a very long time to get to us and take our order. «It’ll just be a minute» turned in to it actually being 30 minutes. My friend who asked for a drink, asked about 3 times before the server brought the drink. Overall– I would not eat there again, and I wouldn’t suggest it to friends or family that I care about.

Ate here for over 15 years. everyone in my party agreed the taste of the food has declined. the owners are more interested in making money than pleasing long standing customers. There use to be lines waiting to eat there, no more. Waitress was pleasant, attentive the food just wasn’t.

Five of us ate here last night. The food was well below average and so was the service. Two of the meals came out cold after we waited a long time for the food. I also thought that the wine selection of only house wines was poor. Also, the size of the glass for the price was way too small. After coming to Mario’s for more than 20 years during our visits to the area we will probably not return to Mario’s.

This place has really great pizza and garlic rolls. We didn’t try any of their meat dishes, so I can’t comment on those. The rolls were good sized with just the right amount of fresh garlic. The inside needs some updating, but other than that, the food and service was great.

Went there last night for a Birthday dinner, we had 6 adults and two children in high chairs, Mario’s put two two tables together a round and a square table which made seating uncomfortable with the tables not joining together. The service was poor, felt like we were intruding on the regular patronage, had to ask for everything several times, was not overly busy to feel we were in the way. My husband and my one daughter and her husband each ordered pizzas and were very disappointed, my other daughter ordered eggplant parmigiana with ziti and ate very little of it and refused to to take it home with her. Did not care for the taste. We have eaten here before but definitely won’t be returning!

I was just turned away from sitting down for a bowl of soup because they close in 15 minutes, although there were several tables that had plenty of food which would take a good 45 minutes to finish… poor customer service!!! Two nice ladies that were eating couldn’t believe they wouldn’t seat me!

I ordered delivery and 30 minutes later it arrived!!! Pizza was great! Thin crust, flavorful, and enough of everything on it to make it just right Also had a house salad with vinegar and oil, Gorgonzola cheese and tomatoes! Great flavor! Tried one of the complimentary garlic rolls. LOTS of garlic and a bit overpowering. I’d definitely order from here again!!!

I remember Mario the Baker from North Miami and I was craving eggplant today. Sure, I could go to my go to spot Anthony’s Coal Fire(which has my favorite eggplant in the area) but I wanted Southern Italian, cheesy goodness with a salad– you know, to be healthy! Anthony’s is ala carte. So we ordered in and decided to pick it up. We ordered a meatball parm sub, a chicken sicilian sub(chicken parm with eggplant) and eggplant parm lunch. The woman who took my order was pleasant. I asked for Creamy Italian on my salad but she said they only had vinaigrette or creamy peppercorn. I chose the latter. My boyfriend picked it up but he called me while I was there to see if I wanted cheese on the sub because they didn’t make it with cheese. Who doesn’t want cheese on a chicken parm sub??? So they added the cheese and he was home soon enough. The sub was good(with cheese!) and my bf liked his meatball sub. The salad was fresh and the peppercorn dressing was fantastic– I just wished there was a tomato on the salad. I then tried the eggplant parm. It wasn’t Anthony’s by any stretch but the worst thing was the spaghetti it came with. I’ve never had such a bland red sauce EVER! I’d suggest skipping that. However, the big redeeming quality was the garlic rolls, which were delicious.

I have been awhile customer to this restaurant since the early 1980’s. I have always enjoyed the food here and would even bring business clients here for dinner or lunch. I recently brought to business clients to Marios for dinner. The food was ok service was a little slow but the straw that broke the camel’s back was when the owner of the restaurant came over about 10 minutes after we received our food and asked us to hurry and finish up because they were closing because his people needed to clean up and go home. Needless to say I was terribly embarrassed as were my business clients and I will never ever eat here again. The owner and his wife need to take some friendly classes and learn how to treat and deal with people.

I’ll start off by saying that this was the best service we’ve had since moving to S. Florida. Tony was all over the place and knew his stuff too. The food was no let down either. We had the chicken Marsala and pepperoni pizza. Both were really good, and the garlic rolls were quite simply amazing. We also had the cannoli and strawberry shortcake for dessert which were big and good. The portion sizes are definitely worth the prices.

Before my office moved locations, Mario the Baker was in my regular circuit for lunch, mostly because it was super convenient. There was never any trouble getting parking, never a problem getting a table, the space is clean, the prices are pretty cheap and where the service may not the best ever, they get you fed and out the door in a reasonable amount of time. The food is exactly what you’d expect. It’s pretty standard neighborhood Italian; it won’t knock your socks off, but it’ll do. The handful of times I came here, I rotated between ordering pizza and baked ziti. The baked ziti comes with salad and garlic rolls, and the salad dressing is good, I’ll give them that. The rolls are pretty good too, but a garlic roll would have to be really offensive in order for me to not like it. The pizza is interchangeable. it’s pizza so by that right it’s good, steps above dominos or the like, but not something to drive out of your way for. The baked ziti is a different story. I ordered it twice before I realized it was missing an important component: ricotta. Baked ziti has 4 main ingredients: ziti, sauce, mozzarella, and ricotta. Nix the ricotta and you’ve got pasta with melted cheese on top. My office has moved and is no longer a 2 min drive from Mario the Baker, so I probably won’t ever be back. This place is decent if you work or live close by, seeing as there really aren’t too many options in the vicinity. A place I’d recommend if you are really craving good Italian food? nahh.

A great place to check out. The garlic knots were terrific. We ordered the chicken parm and spaghetti/meatball plates. The only reason I gave 4⁄5 is because of the meatballs. Not bad but they didn’t look freshly made. The décor could use an upgrade but I’ve seen much worse. The staff was friendly and our waiter was very attentive.

Finally got to try this place. Many of my friends told me they like this place, so thought I will give it a try. I went here for lunch the other day. The place is small with very minimal to almost no décor. The waitress was prompt to seat us. I ordered a eggplant parm sub while my friend ordered some pasta. The garlic rolls here are delicious. they are moist… with a good amount of garlic and olive oil on them. They are on the greasy side but some people might not care. The sandwich, which I had high expectations on because of all my friends was a let down. Trust me, I go to a lot of Italian places and I had a lot of eggplant parm subs… So I know what I am talking about. It was fluffy Italian bread with fried breaded eggplant parm slices, with provolone and marinara… These things are a bit greasy usually but this was just too much and the taste wasn’t that great either. The eggplant was not seasoned well and the sub tasted bland… For me, if I am ingesting a ton of calories, I would atleast expect it to be delicious… naah this was not worth it. May be the other sandwiches are good… my friends told me they like the chicken parm sub and others… just give it a try and be the judge
