First let me say that I’ve never done yoga a day in my life and my physique is that of a defensive back. I’m far from flexible in my lower body, especially my hips which was why I wanted to give it a try. 1.It was definitely more work than expected because I had never stretched in the positions I was placed in and I never held a stretch for more than 30 seconds. I definitely felt like my joints were lubed. 2. I was tired as hell for the rest of the day. I wasn’t worn out. I was extremely relaxed, almost a high feeling. I seriously could’ve slept on the bathroom floor at work. I probably should’ve taken the day off being my first time. 3. I learned a bunch of new stretches which is important because I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis since I was a little kid. I’m creeping up on 40 so I need to get ahead of the aches and pains. There was only 1 stretch that i’ve seen and it was being done a spry young pro football player. The rest were totally foreign and worked like a charm. 4. It’s not easy if you aren’t flexible already. I lift weights daily so my muscles are always tight. Finally, if you’ve thought about it, do it. Don’t let procrastination be your enemy. Jenn is an awesome and made it all much simpler than it looks on tv. This is coming from someone that watches his wife do P90X everyday. Her environment is clean, relaxing, quiet, spacious and private.
