Kumon Math and Reading Center of Sunnyvale-central

Thank you Alice and Mariann for all that you’ve done for me! I finished up my second year in college, but I went to Kumon from 1^st till 9^th grade. The only B I got in math was in my first semester of calculus, and that was after I finished Kumon. Alice and Mariann have seen me grow since I was a scared, little overweight five year old, and your child is in good hands with them! Just please don’t put too much pressure on your kids, be attentive and let them go at a pace that works for them :) they may not like Kumon while they’re doing it but it’ll help them in the long run. Alice and Mariann are awesome

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Mariann and her staff! When my son came in he was very shy and not confident about any of his school work. Mariann was so patient and really made him feel welcome, and has continued to encourage him. He has been at the center for less than two years now, and he made the honor roll at his school this year. He is ecstatic, and so are we! Thank you again!

Was sent here on recommendation by a mutual friend. The staff here is very attentive and helpful to my kids who were not doing so well in their math classes. After my son enrolled in the program, I could see a higher level of confidence in completing his school work which resulted in better grades.

A wonderful place to learn and improve Math and English. Very effective. People here r nice and patient. =)

Do not enroll your children into this Kumon center. During our experience, we were sent two email reminders, we came during our appointment date and no one was there, we rang the bell multiple times called them and left a message. Then a lady came out and she completely ignored us. I came to the conclusion that Kumon cannot keep their commitments when it comes to appointments, so I question them and their coaching skills.

My daughter has been attending this center since the the end of the last school year. I enrolled her because I was worried about her math grade. When I first came to the center, it looked intimidating because there are A LOT of parents and kids, and it looked hectic, but after I enrolled, I could see that they actually know what they are doing, and were very organized. They are busyThe instructors have 20 years of experience and gave me much advice on helping my daughter at home. They really care about the students and take time out to talk to me when I have concerns.
My daughter had to start at a pretty easy level. I thought it was too easy for it, but we decided to try it out over the summer, and now I can really see a difference in her calculations and confidence. She is excited to finish her work, and I can already see her much more comfortable in her class this year.

My son was struggling with reading when he was in 2^nd grade so we decided to enroll him at kumon just to see how things will do or will help him out in any way and I am so glad we did because he is enjoying and very excited each time. This really helped him get on track with his reading skills and have gained his confidence. He’s not scared nor ashamed to read infront of people now. Now that he’s a 3^rd grader, we’re looking forward to enrolling him on math just to prepare him on higher levels and will have that same confidence as his reading. Thank you kumon!
The staffs, i can’t really say much but there are two that outstand my expectations with customer service. Marian or Maryanne was really helpful when we 1^st started kumon and she tends to all my questions, and there’s this old lady not really old but i think her name is sue or susan? she’s great too!
Overall, i can really recommend this place to youngsters that are struggling with math and reading! :’)
