Will close stores at random hours! They called us to pick up a book we ordered, but when we got there they were closed. Ridiculous.

I love this little bookstore. The staff will leave you in peace if you are just looking around and if you ask for help they are always more than willing to give it their best shot. Anytime I’ve wanted something that wasn’t on the self but couldn’t find it on Amazon they have tracked it down for me. Pricing is what I would expect from a store that has to import heavy books. While I was in Korea, English books were just as expensive there. So if you are looking for Korean work books, classic lit in or new lit in Hangul or Bibles check this little place out.

I stopped reading books after I was no longer required to read them… so I don’t go to bookstores for books(just kidding! This is only partially true…) They sell Ceci magazine and can order any other magazines for you. The prices may cause sticker shock but Korean(like Japanese magazines) are far more substantial in content and size compared to the mainstream American versions(*cough*Vogue*cough*)

Recently, I got my first Korean books in like 6 – 7 years or so from this place. It was a joy to get Korean books! Books here are«fairly» overpriced — shipped from Korea, and this is a pretty small bookstore, so their orders from publishers can’t be that cheap — this is the reason why they are a little bit more expensive than online Korean book retailers located in LA. But how great it is to read Korean books before buying them! This store is pretty well updated with new releases and all the best sellers. If you were a Korean, you know how great the quality of prints/paper/design the Korean books got compared to the ones in the US. It feels different, smells different on hand and while reading! Also Korean online reviews are not as credible as online reviews on Amazon — I buy books only from Amazon and Green Apple. This place got good selection of Korean bestsellers, Korean Christian readings(I think a majority of books are of this kind), magazines and books on learning Korean. I may take advantage of this place a lot because I am lightening fast in reading Korean, so finishing a book won’t take long… so that’s one of many reasons why I am giving this place some additional points for its mere existence. Also, it’s a nice place for an easy, pleasurable stop after dinner at the Palace Buffet and shopping at the Korean market in the same block.
