I got what I expected to get. I liked it just fine, although I’m not picky. The staff was polite and to the point(I don’t like to waste much time). They may not have enough of a certain entrée(Thai chicken, for example) to fill an order, but they’ve offered to accommodate with other entrees — I like variety, so that’s a bonus. Burritos are good, too. The seasoning is a tad different… I like different. I can see others finding it a bit off-putting, though. Basically, this place serves its purpose — foodening. I’ll be going back.

gross place Ever I never been in a place like this Thai and Mexican wtf… 2 Asians and one Hispanic lady working and I notice they have 2 kids running this place too. What kind of restaurant is this for real can someone call the city or social services you can’t have your kids working with you!!! I think this people should know where they are. First place you have to speak English to run a restaurant and the second is that you can’t be babysitting kids at work… Never stop by again never I hope people think twice before spend a penny in this cheap ass place

It is a weird concept for a restaurant– thai and Mexican, but it works. Lately the restaurant is not that clean– the grill and fryer is covered with grease and the floors stained dark. The food used to be very consistent, but can’t say that about them anymore. The prices also vary depending on who is at the billing station. The prices are a little steep for what they offer. The only upside is they don’t skimp on the toppings. The fish burrito I had yesterday had 4 good sized pieces.

This is a place that sells Thai food, Burritos, and Burgers. The staff couldn’t understand my order, I settled with whatever they chosen for me, a steak Burrito. The meat was cold and chewy, I ended up having to discard pretty much all of it. I will not be visiting again, there are many better local options for Mexican food.

Dr. Burrito is my one stop shop for lunch. I absolutely love their burritos. They always have a large choice on their selection of meats; carne asada, chicken, fajitas and chicken with green sauce. They even give you the choice to order shrimp and tofu, they both have a semi– spicy red sauce with great flavor. I normally order the veggie burrito with tofu and veggies. With every burrito you are also given a small bag of chips. I also really enjoy their salsa bar, they have a nice range of sauces. Their green sauce is my favorite. You can also order Thai food here, but I have not tried it. Overall, I would say the staff is very friendly, the food is always fresh and it’s definitely my favorite burrito shop.

I guess I’m not as picky as some of the people on here. I ordered the beef burrito and loved it. The meat was very flavorful and was greatly accented by the fresh lettuce and the orange house sauce. I also tried their pineapple fried rice… OMG!!! Its to die for. At that point I was already full from eating that giant burrito and fried rice that I couldn’t try the burgers. I hear good things about the burgers so I’ll be back next time and starve myself before I get there.

The meat chicken, beef, etc. are pre-cook so it is not that fresh and tasty. Good for a quick bite.

Dr. Burrito? I should’ve known by the name… This place is directly across my job, and I had been wanting to try it so I walked in for lunch around 1:30pm. There were only 3 people in line, but yet they were super slow and did not have enough food prepared so we all had to wait. But, the true reason for my review: did I mention this place is a Thai/Mexican fusion? UHYEAH… NO! Those two things definitely did not go together. They had one Mexican lady, and two asian ppl there. I ordered a simple chicken burrito and had to wait for the chicken. They prepped the chicken in, what seemed like, some Thai coconut milk type of marinade. To save you the trouble: IT. WAS. SO.GROSS. Total waste of money as well as my appetite. I was sorely disappointed with my lunch. On a side note, I also tried Java Sushi which is located next door, and that was not good either. I have come to the conclusion to avoid this little shopping center altogether.

I happened to walk over with a friend to check out this short and stubby strip mall right across from the other tech bigwig buildings taking stance along this heavily populated corridor of N. Mathilda. I didn’t want Indian food, didn’t want a Subway sandwich, but the fact that this place offers burgers, Thai, and Mexican Food? Oh my! I went straight for their advertised $ 5.99 Chili Verde Burrito w/refried beans, rice, and spicy salsa. Let’s first preface this by stating I am a big Chile Verde fan. None of that Chili Colorado stuff for me. The pork has to be pork butt chunks so full of fat and juiciness all around. The burrito was pretty good. So good that I ate the entire thing, never mind the fact that I mentioned earlier to my friend that I was not hungry. Ultimately, when there are not that many options in the area, this is not bad. Otherwise, get ready to get in your car and spend the next 15 mins in traffic. I doubt I would try their burgers but their Thai food, sure. And make sure you get there in time because the Thai Pineapple Fried Rice is always selling out in the first 30 minutes. This is a fast and quick meal on the go for those still stuck on clocking in and out AND don’t want to drive/lose and arm and leg out in the traffic on N. Mathilda. And inexpensive, in the middle of Silicon Valley. #winwin

I tried the beef southwestern burrito. Worst burrito I have ever had. The tortilla was not cooked all the way, the guac did not taste good, the temperature of the entire burrito was cold(like it came from the fridge), lettuce had large chunks of the plant’s base, and the meat quality was poor(grizzle). Avoid for mexican food. I should have known better, but hey, I was hungry!

I have been here twice… got burger and fries once, and the Thai food the other. I have not tried the Mexican yet. This is a 4 star rating on a place that is assumed to be an inexpensive lunch spot. Burger was just OK… not bad. I like cheap burgers, but this one didn’t quite shine like I was hoping. Fries were not very good, the oil tasted a bit old. The Thai food was good for cheap thai food. Veggie curry and pad thai was a nice lunch.

This is fake tauqeria! The sign outside reads grilled Mexican, the people preparing your food are Mexican but the people collecting the money are Chinese, which should give you a clue!

I checked this place out today despite the bad reviews, and I’m glad I did. I was there for all of five minutes, and in that short time they earned a loyal customer. Here’s why: 1. I arrived just before closing, and was still welcome to the restaurant with a warm hello by a beautiful Asian lady who assured me that despite the time, she would still make me anything I wanted from the menu. Awesome. 2. I ordered carne asada nachos, and was delighted at the fact the lady fried my chips up fresh, right in front of me. As a taqueria connoisseur, this is a huge deal. If it’s one thing I hate it’s when I walk into a place that claims to serve Mexican food, but serves Tostitos chips I could buy myself at the liquor store next door. Dr. Burrito’s chips were crispy, fresh, and perfectly salted. *crunch crunch crunch* 3. THEYHAVENACHOCHEESE. 4. The prices are reasonable. I got a heaping MOUNTAIN of nachos for $ 7.99, and had enough left over for another meal. Splendid. Now, on to the most important part, taste. While not what one would get at La Vics or Mucho’s, it was still pretty darn good considering it’s a little taqueria on Java, where there has never been a taqueria before(at least not in the seven years I’ve worked in the area). My order consisted of the aforementioned chips of glory, beans, nacho cheese, a heaping pile of carne asada, sour cream, guacamole, fresh salsa, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. YUM. I left there a happy customer, and will absolutely be back to try the burritos.

Weird place. Burgers, Thai food, and Mexican from same kitchen. … 0 for 3 Usually I like Mexican because it’s easy to go low-carb. But their shrimp chipotle was sweetened an ungodly amount.

Bad food. Bad service. Simply avoid. I went cause it was close by and I didn’t have time to my usual spot, Ruby’s — big mistake. They kept messing up my food(honestly not sure what they thought I was saying) and then the Chinese lady went into ‘no English’ mode and was just yelling at her husband when I was talking to her. Their little kids were there so I just paid and left. I should’ve just stopped trying to explain and left. Why didn’t I check Unilocal and avoid the trouble? :) First and last time visiting this place.

Mmm i always come here and order either their vegi or chicken nachos — SUPERYUM and the BEST thing is that their nacho cheese sauce has diced HOT peppers in it — HOLY! I am not usually a spicy eater but with this nom nom nom so good. And when i ordered the chicken nachos it was enough for 2 ½ meals FORSURE! so MUCH chicken they put on it AND its not fried its grilled or baked chicken — SOHEALTHY haha OVERALL — ill be back FORSURE!

I should post this review as quickly as I can, because I think this ‘quack’ will not last much longer; I should have known better with such low Unilocal reviews, but I was hungry and already parked out front. – Taco plate:($ 10 with soda — about $ 2 too high); I chose one chicken taco and one steak taco, because those were my only choices*, apart from a soupy-looking chicken concoction on the end; The grilled chicken was dry and bland; the steak quality seemed OK, but had almost no discernible flavor; The added salsa helped a little. The beans were underspiced; Rice was fine. *No carnitas, or al pastor, or barbacoa, or lengua, etc. This isn’t a taqueria; it’s a middle school cafeteria! I should mention the portion size was good, but larger portions of sub-par food is not really a selling point. No chips served with the meal either, though I imagine if they were, it would have been a bowl of Doritos. Muy autentico!

This side of Mathilda does need aTaqueria. Los latinos do work here but I think their recipes are not from mama. Despite who owns the place(Come on, who really cares if the owner is non-Mexican. After all, Glenn Bell started Taco Bell in 1946… and in many ways, this place is way better than TB), there are plenty of competition for Mexican food in the area making it a very very tough market indeed. This place is good if you are in a hurry. The burrito is not too bad, but as other reviewers said, it is not trully authentic(again, you want authentic? then fly to Guadalajara). I would still eat here because the portions are fairly big and the salsa is really not too bad. Give this place a break.
