Denny’s

1 star for being open 24 hours and for that friendly big guy that gave us our first water refills. Long review ahead, because why not.
At midnight, we were seated very quickly even though the place looked busy. Once we were seated, our area had about 2 or 3 other tables seated.
The first time we were visited by our waiter, he immediately asked what we wanted to order. We weren’t ready, so we asked for drinks instead, as your normally do. We waited what felt like 10 minutes to get our water. I get it was busy, but he also came back to take our order before our waters were served. Made me wonder if the water had to be freshly squeezed from a waterfruit.
We ordered our meals, and waited. I was with friends, so waiting is a nice time to chat. But we ~waited~. It was probably closer to 1AM when we got our food, but I didn’t check the clock. Two of my friends got skillet meals, the kind that need a potholder due to their heat. By the time they received them, it didn’t look like any sizzling or heat was left and the potholder was useless.
I ordered the delicious cinnamon pancake breakfast. It’s my go-​to. Cream cheese icing and cinnamon. I recommend it. However, when you get the «cinnamon pancake breakfast» you get your choice of egg style and meat. I asked for scrambled, because I wasn’t getting toast and that’s a must have for me when eating sunnyside up eggs. I also ordered sausage links. When I received my meal, I had sunnyside up eggs (thankfully, my husband had toast with his skillet so I stole a piece) and … bacon… with my sausage. Free bacon, sure. But I don’t really care for bacon, so I gave it away to the group. I didn’t ask for any exchange because the waiter didn’t give us friendly vibes. I didn’t want the food to go to waste either.
When the waiter came back to pick up our dishes, I asked for some water. He asked who needed water. 3 cups were empty, but I pointed to my friend who mentioned he needed more. He came back and was a bit rude regarding who needed the water. There was not enough water in the pitcher for the 3 empty cups. I can’t remember if he came back with more. (It was getting late).
The waiter never came back to say have a good day or pay at the front so we finally wandered up to the front cashier and asked to pay our bill. I didn’t get a chance to read the waiter’s name. Service (besides the friendly big guy who magically came with a water refill mid-​meal) was not the greatest. I’ve had much better and friendly service at other locations.
Lastly, the bathroom was filthy.

We were seated immediately…
Waited for over 15 minutes and nobody even offered us water. There was only one other table and in the time we were waiting to be acknowledged the 2 people on staff had both visited the other table twice.
With it being that dead you would think they would have been able to at least bring us water.
We walked out… not the only Dennys in town.

Next time acknowledge your customers instead of chit chatting with each other…

Felt like we were in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. 50 minutes from ordering to food; breakfast did not come as we had ordered it. Burned toast. No silverware or creamer. The most oddly tasteless bacon I’ve ever encountered. Twenty minutes to receive the check.

Came here for Mothers Day, approximately 10:30am, parking lot was packed, so we figured a wait. Wow, no wait and served quick. Great staff working, everyone worked together. The manager obviously did a wonderful job staffing the restaurant with adequate staff and a team that works together. Great job!

Food was good. That’s the only reason it gets a star. Service was terrible! We had to hunt down our waiter and ASK to place our order, which came wrong and the coffee didn’t arrive until after the food. Bathrooms were a mess too.

First of all food is better than my Denny’s at home. Fruit tasted fresher, Oh I love California!
You can get salad, cooked broccoli at 6am (not at home). Food is very consistent, which I appreciate.
Two big negatives for me resulting in 3 stars, if I wanted to be mean I would say two stars, but since food is consistent and is what is expected pulls it up.
First, disgusting ladies restrooms, don’t know if that’s cause it was 6am but still no excuse.
Second they use way too much grease, it was like I orderd greasy with a side of omelette. Food is delicious though in a greasy way. Love how they put big chunks of zucchini in a veggie omelette never seen that before.
Really disgusting bathrooms should result in a much lower score but I like the food.

Had to ask for a coffee refill 3 times before it came and order was partly messed up. Granted only 2 serves were working but the woman was sitting on her phone Hardly wanting to do anything and the only other server was busting his ass trying to keep up with her slack.
I do not recommend this place unless you have time to waist and don’t care about service

I love their mushroom burger and ice cream float. On top it’s open 24 hours. –1 for cleanliness and ambience. They can do much better by improving the clean

Reliable 24 hours edible food across multiple locations. The coffee is surprisingly acceptable. For a chain diner serving breakfast all day and night, I would not ask more. But I request the management to try harder.
Reviewing this place like a resturant would be a wrong take. No chef is going to come and work at this place.
Have denny’s as a reliable back up plan. Just don’t plan to have this as your daily go to place.

Service was slow, received the wrong dish. Music emanating from the kitchen was louder than the music coming over the speakers in the dining area.

It’s Denny’s. You have to realize that and keep your expectations in check. I was there on a Saturday night — it’s what the cool people do.
The ²⁴⁄₇ hours made it the draw that night. At a certain point, not that many places are open, and for some reason I was craving pancakes. Unsurprisingly, they performed mightily in the pancake department. For $ 2, I had two pancakes about a ½-​inch thick and bigger than my hand. I paired it with bacon, which is thin and really crispy, so hopefully you are into that type of thing. I topped it all off with a vanilla milkshake, which can with the additional tin cup of milkshake. So much milkshake.
Our waiter, Jose, got our orders perfect and was super friendly. We had no service issues on this night.
The four star instead of five comes down to just an overall datedness coupled with a need to clean. It’s decently clean, but with a little more attention, they could turn this place into a more friendly joint.

Love Denny’s. 2,4,6,8 menu is the best! I ended up getting the pancake meal on that and it was fantastic. the waiter was super nice and let me substitute the meat for hash browns even though they don’t normally do it. Yay! Also came here after a concert at shoreline and it wasn’t too crowded so that’s good. It was a weekday though.

Come on really, you have never been to a Denny’s? You know the deal… breakfast all day and general american diner food for cheap. Order the basics and you willbe content. Order a steak and you will be disapointed.

stop by for late dinner. I am got seat immediately and got my order with in 2 minutes. order Fantastic things burger and fried.

The food isn’t great. ITS A DENNYS. If you’re looking for high quality food, maybe dennys isn’t your place.
But the people are so nice! I only wanted to leave a review to talk about the service — ⁵⁄₅. They checked in with us quite often and were super attentive to our needs. Thanks guys!

They’re extremely busy here.
We waited for our food for about 45 mins, for a lumberjack slammer and a sandwich.
I’d recommend going somewhere else or asking what the wait time would be and making your decision based on that.
It’s not that there isn’t enough staff here but that a lot of people come here to eat.
Go somewhere else. It’s a nightmare.

Service:fairly quick. Depends on what you are ordering and how packed the place is.

Food:Very well made and tastes delicious
Desserts:Very good. And are delivered very quick
Overall:this is my favorite Denny’s.Everytime I go its a great experience.

Well. I cannot review the food, as not only did I never get served, I didn’t even get a menu. Denny’s lived up to its racist reputation today, and how. I waited for fifteen minutes in a booth, with no menu even. While a white person who walked in after me got his order taken.
At first I was sympathetic, thinking the waiter was just busy, but really, no menu after 15 minutes???
In this case I guess I was guilty of trying to eat at Denny’s while Indian. Disgusting. Never going back here, at least not to this location.

Attempting to rate a Dennis is like grading on a curve on a class whose average grade is D+. The place is conveniently located and has tons of parking. Service has been «OK» but not the best. Once the order is placed and food arrives, waiters usually don’t come back to check on patrons. You really have to work on flagging them to get anything extra. I don’t think the staff knows how to «clean as the go.» Cleanliness is not part of their priorities, some areas are clean and others trashed. Dennis food should be completely graded in a different scale. Perhaps on a scale of 1 — Lucky Store frozen food, 10 — Costco pre-​made food. Although, I’ll give them mad love for cheese sticks!
I can only think of one good reason to go to Dennis: I’m drunk, I’m hungry and its 2AM.
