Great selection of food and toys for my dog. They delivered food and litter for a previous roommate’s cat and are always patient and helpful. I called up with questions and they provided me with some samples to help the problem. While I usually have to look to the internet for more specialty items (dog hiking boots) they seem to have a pretty good variety for a small store and way better than anywhere else in Sunnyside. Bonus points for being pretty much spotless.

Did a quick compare on some of their freeze dried snacks to amazon and with discount, they had competitive pricing. Very accomodating staff, I was looking for socks for my furry child and they gave their advice and let me try on one. It was my baby’s bday too, and they treated her to some freeze dried treats. The good stuff ;). Def appreciate the service and the prices.

This store carries Tiki Cat brand canned cat food, which I like to feed my cats, and the chain stores don’t carry it. They also deliver with no fee, which is great if I am sick or can’t get out, and I run out of cat food. Can’t beat that! A little pricey but on par with the chain stores, as someone else said. Always happy with the customer service so not sure what these negative reviews are talking about. Happy to have it so close by in the neighborhood.

The first of all… the store management is absolutely incredible ! Mohammed, and Michael are absolutely helpful in everything and they take good care of this store. And nobody cursing on no one. You must have a hearing problem or something. .
I never received nothing but good care and full attention from the stuff of Wes paw store.
They were always wonderful and caring, very informative of the food and liter, they are suggested great recommendations for my pets always.
What else I can say, besides highly recommended the Wes paw to our community in Sunnyside.

I loved this store and the great selection they have. The prices are similar to pet chain stores (I found better price in cat food I was looking for) The staff was very helpful in finding what I needed. I will definitely come back to this place !!

Despite the annoying negative reviews below, these guys are awesome! They are super helpful, friendly and chilled (given the fact that they are probably the only two that work there ALL WEEK). Mohammad, whom I believe is the Assistant mgr or Supervisor has helped me out a great deal with my purchases and the other employee, Jamie (I believe is his name) is also always readily available to answer any questions, I have. Not to mention they are always FULLY STOCKED with items. Prices are just okay but then again they ARE the only pet store in the area. I also love the fact that they offer treats to my pup. Overall Im pretty satisfied with this location.

The staff is friendly and very helpful! I was unsure what kind of food my cat with a kidney problem needed and would actually like, and not only did the manager point out an option, but gave it to us as a sample! Very kind and generous, definitely makes me want to go back.

This places USED to be amazing when it first opened. Since there is new management, the store smells terrible and the staff that works there is neither helpful nor professional. They use profane language and eat pizza behind the cash register. It sucks because this place used to be awesome. Perhaps they should bring back the previous management.

One of my favorite pet supply shops in Queens, very well organized and very helpful staff. A+ for not selling live animals guys.

This is for the NEW MANAGEMENT that has come in recently.
This is my local pet supply store. I used to love coming in, getting a large bag of good quality food for my pooches, chatting with the guys and walking out. Since new management has come in, they NEVER, EVEEEERRRRRR have my dog food. They always have it in a smaller bag. I have come in MULTIPLE TIMES looking for my dog food in this size (my pooches have sensitive stomachs and this is the only food that agrees with them) and they always say «we will order it, we will order some extra bags». I come in, NO EXTRA BAGS. Nothing. And to boot, they say «we are under *new management* now so you’ll get better service than with those other guys.»
Let me tell you something, dudes. YOU SUCK. I just ordered my dog food on Amazon. It wascheaper and it will be DELIVERED. I love supporting local small businesses but you really, REALLY suck.

Much better than PetCo. Friendly staff, great selection of high end pet food, but at times the toy selection is not stocked.

Everything you love about a local pet store. Great variety, quality and they don’t sell animals. Staff is super friendly, adding to that community store feel.

After one visit, they hooked a loyal customer. Perfect neighborhood pet store with a solid selection, reasonable prices and outstanding (!) customer service.

Very glad this place is in the neighborhood! I must admit I do buy the majority of my pet supplies online in bulk for convenience, but I always come here if I want to try new products, run out of stuff or want a specific recommendation from an actual human being. Their prices are extremely comparable to online (within $ 1 or so).
The staff are great, but if you need help the quality of information you get is dependent on the staff member. They are all really knowledgeable, nice and professional but I just feel like they each have very different opinions and ways of explaining things — not in a bad way, but just keep it in mind/​take the advice with a grain of salt!
Also they support and make donations to the local dog park, so they are truly a local business that cares about the community!

I love that I have a reasonably priced neighborhood pet store. The staff here is so friendly, and if there’s any food or anything I need, they include it in the next order! Wonderful service and very knowledgeable whenever I have questions.
AANNDDD they deliver free! You dont have to lug home those huge bags of dog food.

Looks like there is new management for about a month now and these guys rock. Every time I pop in I feel like they are family. They are always cordial, positive and upbeat. I always look forward to going to this store because when I ask them about anything pet related, they know where to direct me. The manager, think he mentioned he relocated from Florida, is outstanding! He really knows his stuff about pet food/​pet related, etc. and when my pet had a health crisis, it was thanks to him that I could find the right food which cured my pet of a urinary track infection.
These new guys go out of their way for you to get what you need and are always well informed. Plus one time, I called in close to 9 pm (closing time) as I was two stops away on the train and the manager stayed opened for my quick purchase. Talk about amazing work ethic (!) and who does that nowadays especially when they work on their feet all day???
Hope management does not change again, as we all know, it’s not only the products that count but also the service! So grateful for the new management!
