Unbelievably rude customer service– I had a fire at my home and moved into a rental with propane heat. I was unsure who was paying for it and working with insurance company to pay. I ran behind on the bill and got cut off in the middle of winter. I totally accept responsibility for that, despite all the confusion. Finally was able to pay the exorbitant bill– could not hire a better priced company because they own the tank. Next winter comes and(last night) I’m out of gas. They stopped automatically filling the tank without telling me. I’m winter, with children, they only come to your area on a certain day of the week– so there’s a $ 250 charge to get me heat and hot water sometime today. When I called the two different representatives were equally rude– nearly spiteful– about the late pay from last year; telling me that’s why I don’t get automatic refills and am «COD». While I understand that, nobody ever told me this. So now a day of missed work waiting for them, laughter when I initially said I would have to find someone else who could come today(they didn’t tell me they could for an extra fee today until I pried) because they own the tank and«good luck with that». The rudeness and lack of compassion when your service impacts the health and well being of families, in addition to a family who has just lost everything in a fire, has been astonishing to me. I never had this problem with oil companies– maybe because they don’t own your tank. Based on prices per gallon and customer service, I would never ever choose this company.
