For 12 plus years my boyfriend and I passed this place right across the street from us always assuming it was shut down. It’s definitely seen better days and doesn’t ever look to be occupied but thank the Lord we discovered otherwise. This has actually become my favorite Chinese place. I’ve never had such exquisite broccoli beef in all my life. Every dish is delicious. For takeout it’s surely divine– It’s comparable if not definitely better then a fancy sit down place. «Momma» runs the front and always calls my boyfriend«baby» lovingly as a grandmother may refer to her grandchild. It’s probably one of the cutest things I’ve ever heard and purely based on just our brief order exchanges alone it’s obvious she’s an angel. She’s become one of my BFs favorite people next to my own grandma Patty. Haha… I can’t say enough lovely things about a takeout place. It’s not the kind of place you dine in but you will have the best feast ever to bring home.

Was so excited to try this place after seeing the reviews. Sub-par food compared to other Chinese places. Poor restaurant atmosphere. Amount of food was so-so, not the expected heaping box full. Will not be returning.

This is my favorite place to go for Chinese food. The food always tastes great(maybe a little greasy at times), you get a lot for the price you and the people in there are amazing. Mama and Pops are the sweetest people ever. It’s cash only but that’s no problem because there’s some banks close by. There’s no bathroom but again no problem because of the other places. Great place if you’re looking for a calm environment and just want to have a nice bite

This place is the best. Food is delicious and fresh, service is wonderful. Doesn’t look like it would be so good from the outside but so worth it. The owner does keep the inside clean even though the building itself is dated.

The prices were amazing! For $ 30 I got enough food to feed my family of 5 and still have leftovers. It’s CASHONLY so don’t forget that. Also the best thing to do is to probably call and order then go pick it up because they make it after you order it. My brother and I waited a while until we got the food. Oh ya and it was pretty good.

It looks shady on the outside, but this place is great for cheap Chinese food. Mama and papa are really friendly and the food is made with love. The food is greasy but it’s good for the price. The portions are big too; I always have leftovers. My bf likes their orange chicken. The sauce is more vinegar-y than the sweet stuff you get at like Panda Express. I like the way they cook their tofu, it’s braised and has a nice chewy texture. The veggies are fresh and not overcooked. Since they make the food to order, it’s best to call ahead for takeout so it’s ready when you arrive. Or you can order there and have a good long chat with mama. Maybe she’ll give you some sage advice. Overall, it’s not fine dining, and the establishment doesn’t look very nice. But for what you pay it’s good Chinese comfort food, grease and all.

I came here 3months ago and forgot to give my review. From the outside the place looks ugly af. Which it is. But u can’t judge this restaurant by its cover. This place is known as a «to-go» restaurant. U can dine in as well if you’d like. This time I ordered orange chicken, chicken & beef fried rice & the chefs chop suey. All the food is made fresh when u order it. The orange chicken is crunchy and sweet, not over battered. It’s pretty good. Better than average. The fried rice as well was pretty good. It wasn’t greasy like some other Chinese restaurants have had. The best plate here was the chefs chop suey. Absolutely delicious, definitely in my top 3. I will definitely be coming back here.

They say that life begins where your comfort zone ends. Well, prepare to feel uncomfortable. Normally I ignore restaurant décor as long as it isn’t distracting. Tasty China, however, can’t be ignored. The place is secluded and very poorly taken care of. The moment I stepped I wanted to turn around and walk away, but I didn’t. Anyway, onto the food. Tasty China is a bit of a hybrid where orders are à la carte, like at a you’d find at a full restaurant, but the overall experience is that of fast-food Chinese. My friends and I(three of us) decided that the portions were big enough to split an order of orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and vegetable chow mein between us. Food was served in the familiar foam containers and were filled, the portions are big. I always judge Chinese fast-food by the quality of their orange chicken. Delicious orange chicken has become more and more elusive, but I must say that Tasty China actually has a great recipe going here. Orange chicken here actually tastes of chicken(weird, I know). It was not overly battered or sweetened like most places, a way of masking inferior meat. A light coating of batter created a thin, crunchy layer which I love. The crunch right before biting into the meat was perfect after every bite. The orange sauce was just enough for a sweet pucker, but left plenty of room for the soft, delicious chicken to make you drool. The orange chicken here is definitely above average. I wish the Mongolian beef was as satisfying as the orange chicken was. Mongolian need is one of my favorite dishes because of the flavor a involved: copious amounts of soy sauce, onion strips, and scallions. Unfortunately, eating the Mongolian beef here felt like biting into a stick of butter. Everything was slimy and lacked texture. There was no crunch left in the onions or scallion. The meat was overly soft and bland. While the dish was salty and full of onion flavor, the absence of the beef could’ve gonna unnoticed. Too much oil is being added, I would not order this again. Similarly, the vegetable chow mein also lacked the crunch of veggies and felt too slimy. I prefer my noodles a bit more«dry», but if you love slurping chow mein then this is your spot. While the chow mein tasted ok, it was definitely below what I’ve come to enjoy. Given the option, I would probably never return here again since I can get higher quality food elsewhere and without having to look at the inside of Tasty China.

You wouldn’t think it ny looking at it but this place serves some good dishes. Fried rice, chow mein, egg rolls and they have the best won ton soup. I’ll be trying the rest of the menu but not today. Love this little dive. Mama and papa really take care of you.

This place is very home-y. we came very surprised. on the outside… yea you feel iffy about this place but don’t judge a book by its cover! The lady in the front end aka«mama» Is funny funny funny hahaha the portions are very reasonable for the prices and food is very good too. If you’re a douche bag and feel like comparing this place to a 5 star eatery then this place isn’t for you but if you’re the type of eater that is looking for the diamond in the ruff you found it :) Best part of all we came five mins to closing but they stayed open for us. They took our orders with a smile they treated us with respect and jokes around with us till they had our food ready.
