These guys have worked really hard on keeping the local bike shop feel in this store. You are always greeted like a friend. I went in to get a helmet, walked out with a bike, cleats, pedals, lights oh and yes a helmet and so far 1200 miles of awesome riding. Any time I had any concern with the bike is just a quick stop and Jason, Jennie and their staff take care of my bike right away.

I’ve been an avid cyclist for over 25 years and love it as an activity to help me stay in shape and enjoy being outside! What better way to get your cardio than cycling! With all of the great communities in green belts in the Sugar Land area there is no lack of riding spots that’s for sure! And with that you would expect Sugar Land to have some great full service bike shops but they really didn’t until Jason and Jenny came to give us their expertise!
If you need a bike go see them. They will set you up and as far as accessories it’s all there. And repairs? Plenty of experience here. I’ve had my bike worked on here and have been very pleased with the results.
I’ve been pondering getting a new bike for myself and also one for my son and Jason has a great selection to chose from. Everything from Scott to Cannondale to Foundry and Salsa. Believe or not they even carry the great Italian bikes like Pinarello! If you’re into cycling like I am you will love this place! It’s just a kick visiting with Jason and Jenny and they will plug you into the cycling community here in Sugar Land. With morning and evening rides throughout the week. Your relationship with Society doesn’t end after you buy your bike. The support is fabulous!

Jason and Luis couldn’t have been more helpful, went in for just a basic flat, they diagnosed it that I only need a new tube not tire, this kind of honesty will keep me a customer forever. There needs to be more employees of this caliber that put the needs of the customer and the customer’s satisfaction first before everything else. I was impressed by the professionalism and positive attitude these gentlemen expressed. Keep it up because Society Cycle WORKS!

Finally a local bike shop — even better, it is awesome. I have had my bike serviced there a number of times. Jason (co-​owner of the shop) is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Most issues I have been able to have taken care of on the spot. No price gouging.
Stock of new bikes has significantly improved over the last several months and I’m glad to see this business flourishing.
I’m partial to Cannondale as well — even better not have to drive 20 miles to the next closest dealer.

New customer here, and new to fixed/​single speed bikes. I picked up a used one from a guy on CL and it needed new tires, brake, and crank adjustment, plus I needed a pump. I took the bike in this morning and they immediately jumped on it. I asked what was needed on my bike and they told me it was in great shape and to just keep it clean and air up the tires every couple of days.
These guys are professionals and you can tell they really love their job and what they do. Their prices are affordable especially when you have no clue on bike maintenance. They gave me tons of helpful tips on maintenance, riding position, and cycling techniques. The shop is located about 6 mi from my house so I wish I could ride there but on a 100 °F day it’s not an option. Other than that Society Cycle Works is amazing and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Great bicycle selection, great customer service. Bought 2 bikes, and accessories, including bike rack. SCW helped installed rack, and we hauled bikes from Houston to Dallas safely. Thank you, Society Cycle Works! We will be back!

Fantastic place to buy your bike! The owners and employees are very knowledgable about their business and made me feel very comfortable about what I was buying. They took the time to make sure the bike was perfectly adjusted for me, and it was clear that they want their customers to be happy. It was a great experience.

Due to the amazing reviews, I came in here to get my road bike fixed. I had a flat in one of the tires but couldn’t remember which one since it had been a while since the last time I had checked, but the team was able to find the leak and install a new tube and the job was done! I will be coming back in the near future to purchase a Cannondale (which they have an abundance of) when I start training for MS150 God willing. They also offer classes for beginners and they have group riding sessions 3x a week.

I took my bike with a flat tire, they changed it but soon after it went flat again, after changing 2 more times, they explained me that the problem was the wheel, of course my bike was a «super deal» from Academy. They only charged me for the first time… very honest.
Then I took my kids bike with a break problem, they suggested to get rid of that brake because the bike had a back pedal brake. They offered to get rid of it without charge. Amazing

I was there yesterday, got a garmin 920XT watch and vector pedals for my P5. Again exceptional service. Jason, Johnny you’ll are awesome. Good luck!

Purchased components and assistance for assembling my recent build from bare frame to finished bike. Best customer service I have received. Very good selection and would order what you need or want if they do not have it.
They carry cannondale, Scott and such. No pressure to get high end or beyond what you need. Good group rides and conversational if browsing and want to talk bikes. I plan on going back and recommend the store.

They have excellent customer service. I brought my Vilano bike into the store to have the rear deraileur adjusted because my chain kept skipping gears without shifting. They said they could work on it immediately, and I really appreciated that. They said to do the adjustment would cost $ 15 which is relatively inexpensive for a minor bike tune up. After the technician fixed my deraileur he said my front wheel was not true. He said to make it true it would cost $ 20 so I said lets get it fixed. I drove to Costco for an errand, and when I came back my bike was finished. They also tightened and adjusted the cables for the brakes. The total cost was $ 34.10 after the 10% discount promotion they have going for the month of Sept 2014. I asked the technician if anything else needed to be adjusted, and I asked if maybe the chain should be cleaned. He said «look I don’t think you need it, and I am not here to sell you service you don’t need.» I appreciated the honesty, and he went ahead sprayed some lube on the chain for free. They have competitive pricing, and I like Society Cycle Works better than Bike Barn. I also support them because it looks like its a family owned business. I met the owner today, and I told him I was going to add their business to Unilocal,and take photos of the store to help them get more business.
The family and friends that works here are very honest, plus the location is close for all Telfair Residents without having to get stuck in the traffic on highway 6 to go to City Center for another bike shop. Driving convenience is highly appreciated and well worth it. You save money in gas, and time getting your bike fixed. If you need a tune-​up the same day or within a couple minutes then I highly recommend Society Cycle Works. The owner of the store was so thankful when I told them I was taking so many pictures of the store to show the variety of all the services and products they offer. They get 5 stars from, and I will always be a repeat customer.

Society Cycles is a brand new cycle shop in Sugar Land located right off of Hwy 59 and University. Love the staff! I cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service that I received in this shop! I went in to see if they would fix a flat tire on my daughter’s cheap, well used Walmart bike that, for sentimental reasons, she refuses to give up. The gentleman helping me was sooooo nice, helped me get the bike unloaded from my car and not only fixed the flat tire, but also gave her sad little bike a tune up. I left the shop with this bike in better condition that what it was in when it purchased several years ago! It made her day! Society Cycles has a great selection of Cannondale and Scott bicycles on hand, along with all of the cycling equipment a serious cyclist could imagine! They also have meets and daily cycling groups you can partake in after work or on weekends. Keep up the awesome customer service and lots of luck with your new shop! I will definitely be back and recommend your shop to anyone needing a great cycle shop!!!
