Wow… was ready to come back for a massage today and potentially sign up as a member… receptionist was on the rude side… left a bad impression… easy for me to go elsewhere.

Went in for facial using gift card. Facial was on sale, but I was not allowed sale price bc of gift card. Really? Cost me $ 30 more but cost them a returning customer.

Overall, my experiences here have been average to good. I’ve never had any bad experiences except for one time when there was a misunderstanding with the massage therapist who offered to give me cold stone face massage in exchange for not extracting during the regular classic facial, but the receptionist/cashier in front end up charging me. The receptionist was also not very friendly, so I am glad that I do not see her there anymore. I also have a monthly membership here. If you can not make it to your monthly facial or massage, it can serve as credit and accumulate. I have accumulated quite a few credits, but never had any issues using them. I had brought my mom a couple of times to use the extra credit, but they always charge $ 10 transfer fee each time. It’s better just just pay full price for her massage next time. I’ve always felt comfortable there although time always flies when I have my massages.

My husband bought me a gift card for a facial and massage. The front desk staff was very nice and professional. After being led to a dimly lit room, the esthetician started my facial. Throughout the entire facial, she described each of the products and how they would benefit my skin. She explained that she would leave the products at the front desk for me to purchase. I appreciate her explaining the products, however, I was looking for a quiet and relaxing facial, not a sales session. I love the pumpkin mask and several of the products, but did not purchase them as they were quite pricey. The massage was not what I expected for the price. The masseuse started with a scalp massage, which was decent. The rest of the massage was definately not worth the money. She didn’t seem very experienced and kept doing a weird rubbing motion by putting her hands together and turning them in opposite directions like she was trying to opening a tightly sealed bottle. Started on my legs with the motion and did the same thing on my arms!?! Not very relaxing for me, but i assumed she knew what she was doing. Although I noted on my intake form that I had tension in my neck and shoulders, she didnt really spend alot of time on those areas. She did acknowledge that those areas are common problem areas for alot of people. I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to home…

My new favorite place. They are extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. I usually go to Tanya who is the best massage therapist that I’ve had in a long time! She is extremely intuitive and knows what you need before you even tell her. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and I love the sweet front desk staff Briana and Kimmy. This spa is a very welcome addition to my neighborhood. Keep up the good work!!!

I was referred here by a current patron. I went online and scheduled my appointment and was immediately called to setup a date and time. I was told to arrive a little early as I was to fill out some pre paperwork. I arrived about 15 – 20 minutes early, checked in on Unilocal and got a $ 15 discount to upgrade which I chose the hot stone massage. I filled out the questionnaire and proceeded to wait. Now… there were at least 3 patrons that arrived after me and some did not have to fill out the questionnaire and some did but all were admitted before me??? It was some what disturbing and to top it off I was admitted about 10 minutes after my appointment time and the appointment ended on time! No explanation given! So I paid for an hour and only got less than a 50 minute massage. Now the massage was great but they would like you to sign up for a membership and is this how a new client should be treated that you want to potentially due future business with and sign a long term contract? They came highly rated by my contact but maybe it was a bad day but it wasn’t crowded or super busy so I don’t know.

I did not get the relaxing massage I wanted. I cancelled my membership in June. I got my last massage in July. All cancellation actions by the book and according to their rules. I checked with them 3 times to make sure. They called me in August to set up my next appt. and they had charged my CC for the month of August. I told the person my situation and she promised I would get an email from her boss and a credit to my CC. Today I got my CC statement and it has no credits from H&S. I called and was told the matter would be told to her boss Raffa in the morning. I am not sure how this will work out. I am not pleased with the customer service Buyer Beware! The owner called and apologized an I got my money back so I gave the review another star.

This place is absolutely amazing. After several massages, I can say this is the best one I’ve ever had. Also, I had a great experience for my first facial. Every member of the staff is professional and welcoming. The location and décor is great too! I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Oh my aching shoulders … I can’t tell you how sore I *WAS* before my massage but after my hour with Eric I feel so much better. He really listened to my needs, and then customized my massage so that I got the most benefit. My only complaint is that it was just an hour… I wish I had scheduled the 90 minute.

This was the first time both my wife and I went to this massage location. Great staff and great environment. Will be going back soon. Front lobby and rooms look well kept and clean.

I love having the convenience of having a membership that I can take full advantage of every month. I use it religiously every month, for about a year now, but it just so happened that I couldn’t make my facial(first time in one year) yesterday because of a conflict a work. Instead of trying to make an exception given that I’m a loyal customer and first time offender, they went ahead and charged me for the package. The lady I talked to said she«took down» my information and was going to pass it along to the owner… Which sounded like a bunch of BS to me, and it sure was because I never got a call from the so call manager. Even though I go to the Village location most times(no complaints there), I was starting to like going to this location since it’s so close to my house. Not anymore… you burn me and you burn me good over $ 50. You just lost a paying customer(and generous tipper) over $ 50. That’s sad.

Lovely reception area, great customer service. They greet you and offer you different teas. I had an Amazon groupon for $ 39 an hour facial and a free head massage from my Unilocal check in. The facial was perfect, I loved it. My esthetician was very professional and so quiet I can barely hear her. They didn’t give me any major sales pitch nor much talking. I was so relaxed. They make sure you get what you want and that you’re happy.(I hate it when people touch my neck and they made sure not to touch it.) Afterwards, they offered products used in my facial and gave advice. I did buy some. Very sweet girls. The next day I realized I forgot to give them my groupon and I was charged full price. So I called and they immediately credited the $ 10 to my credit card. I’m happy and my face still feels lovely! I would come back here!

Great customer service from front desk staff and esthetician. Facial made my skin feel great. Only concern I had is that the esthetician didn’t communicate any skin analysis during or fully explain what was going on… But hey it worked! I am getting a membership and will be returning :). Oh and they offer HOT tea upon arrival and exit. Soothing environment and experience!

Environment — Clean, subtle, waiting area/lobby is welcoming and humble. Massage area is dark to dimmed lighting. Ambient music is played in each room and I think it’s nice. You can choose how you want your experience to be, the masseuse or masseur(I just learned that there’s a female and male term for massage therapist) will change certain settings to your liking. Service — Professional staff considering this was my first time and my best friend’s friend time. We got the answers we were looking for when we asked certain questions like we were tourists, given an appointment where they had to call in their massage therapist which took about 15 mins for them to arrive or be ready for us. While we waited, we were given some tea and a Tazo of our choice or liking. Massage — I got the hot stones and while the first time it touched my skin, it was pretty shocking. The masseuse asked me if it was too hot, it really wasn’t after the initial touch. However every time a hot stone touched my back or leg or arm, it was a pretty shocking experience. I didn’t hate it nor did I love it. It was soothing enough to make me knock out a little bit. I wasn’t as tense as my friend though, so hot stones may not have been for me. Personal thoughts? Professional massages are nice, but I think I like soother or softer touch. It’s almost like scratching and itch on my body where the touch is more subtle than a bunch of hard rocks. I should have specified how I’m not too keen on heavy pressure and more keen on sensitive pressure. Price is also pretty cheap but time sure does fly by.

Upon my arrival at this spa, the front desk representative was wonderfully kind and offered me water and gave me paperwork to be filled out. A short while later my esthetician was introduced to me. She then escorted me to the room where I would be receiving my facial. She immediately complained to me about the front desk people and how they desperately need to be trained. This was a very unprofessional first impression. She then proceeded to nicely insult my skin. She kindly said I will be full of wrinkles once my age was doubled since my skin is so dry. She then went into her extreme sales pitch. She even pulled out paper and pen and scribbled tons of numbers and arrows all over it. Circled all the important numbers and savings. She was trying to get me to upgrade my facial and purchase a membership. Etc. I felt like she was attempting to sell me a time-share in Lake Conroe. Twenty-seven minutes later I was completely overwhelmed by all of these numbers she was bombarding me with.(I considered walking out of the room several times) I told her this was overwhelming and I just wanted the facial I initially scheduled. She said this was a «horrible choice in her professional opinion» She repeatedly pushed for me to upgrade my facial because I needed it since my skin is in such poor condition. I ended up just agreeing to the upgrade, for fear she would be mad and not do a good job on my face. The facial itself was nice. I won’t deny, she did a good job. My face looks great and is baby soft! However, all of the talking she did before beginning the facial really stressed me out so I found it difficult to relax and fully enjoy. During the facial she mentioned, a few times, that she is the«educator and trainer at all of the locations and she is the best they have.» This was very unprofessional and unpleasant to hear, in my opinion. Especially since she had to leave the room a few times during the facial to gather supplies. She kept blaming the lack of supplies on the other people. I feel that if she is «the best» then she would’ve been fully prepared for her clients services before hand. After the facial was complete, she brought me to the area where they keep all if their products for purchase. She told me I need to completely phase out all products that I currently use and only use their products. She went on to tell me how much my products aren’t working and how much I need their products. I ended up buying a kit. My grand total was a lot more then I expected, but I was fine with that. I do feel like I had a good facial and I do feel like I purchased good products. However, I do not appreciated how I was treated by the saleswoman. Oh, I mean the esthetician. I will not be purchasing a membership. And I will not be returning to Hand And Stone due to the unpleasant experience this supposed esthetician showed me.

Before March of this year, I had never experienced a full body massage. That said, I bought their membership the day I tried them. I don’t buy memberships to anything. It is the one thing for me working 2 jobs with 2 kids that I get to look forward to once a month, just for me for one hour. Every time I’ve been, it’s been a different therapist, each one as amazing as the next. Can’t wait for my next appointment. The staff is amazing, helpful, and so nice! Inevitably I show up there on a high stress day, and walk out with a new perspective on life. They have a customer forever!
