Soo yummy and great service! Very accommodating, made suggestions for my picky kid and he loved the food.

Best Indian Food Place EVER. Best Buffet Ever, with meat dishes every day. Master Chef touches like various garnishes on even the bread. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent. Me and my dad come here about once every other week. The food is terribly spicy as is common in Indian cuisine, and the owner also owns the Chaat place next door if you want a vegetarian meal. The food is very consistent and the owner is very friendly. There aren’t many places to find a meat Indian buffet in Sugarland and this is by far the tastiest.

Café India offers the standard Indian buffet for lunch with veg and non-veg options. I used to find the buffet decent as it had variety but nothing more than average. I would say it’s one of the better Indian restaurants in Sugar Land if judging on buffet, but the pricing(see below) makes it not worth going. Parking can be limited as the restaurant share parking with a dancing school and restaurant next door. When they raised the price to about $ 11 – 12 for the lunch buffet, I stopped going. It’s a shame because the saag paneer was the best dish on the buffet line.

Back again. Everything was good. Enough flavor without an overpowering heat. The owner checked on all the customers. Absolutely no downside to the meal. If you want to introduce someone to Indian cuisine, this is the place to take them.

Wonderful meal! Chicken tikka Masala was the best I’ve had. Prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely be back.

This review is for the lunch buffet. I was really impressed! I usually just think Indian lunch buffets are ok, and this one stood out to me. The price for the lunch buffet is also decent. I really liked the Navratan curry — never heard of this one or seen it at other places. It was my favorite. I also really liked the Chicken curry. The chicken is so tender and just falls right off the bone. Another favorite was the black-eyed peas. They have a lot of dishes to choose from, but these were the ones worth mentioning in my opinion. I left full and happy.

Definitely one of the better Indian lunch buffets I’ve been to! My favorites: * Navratan curry * Saag paneer — milder flavor than other versions that I’ve had but still tasty * Chicken curry — chicken was falling off the bone, so good * Black eyed peas * Lamb meatball — a bit too salty but very good still * Naan!!! A couple were under-risen/dense but the ones that fluffed up normally were delicious Meh/pass: * Tandoori chicken — dry and quite firm * Chicken tikka masala — too firm and dense * Rice pudding — super duper sweet

Excellent lunch buffet. Lamb Korma is out of this world! Got the garlic naan and the samosas as well. Washed it down with a mango lassi. Very attentive wait staff and generous with the naan.

My favorite indian food in sugar land! Great selection at the lunch buffet with fresh hot naan bread every time. The lamb meatballs are my favorite item with the saag a close second. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating, and they are open on Mondays!

Café India owner goes above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience while dining. I always order the Chicken Biriyani and the owner went out of his way to make sure that it was just right. The food is never greasy or overly salty like other places in town. Very nice place for lunch buffet or dinner and very affordable for an Indian dining experience. Strongly recommend!

I have been coming here for over 15 years. Although the management has changed over time the food has not. It has always been very fresh and well maintained. I am the only one in my family that likes Indian food, so there are several times I will order takeout for myself and pick something up for everyone else at another restaurant. The management and staff are always very pleasant and the food is never disappointing. I introduced my girlfriend to this place and we come usually once a week and sit in the same booth, when possible. We LOVE this place!

While visiting my relatives in Houston, I opted to take a stop in a café, but since I was walking and the nearest coffee shop was half a mile further and across a busy freeway, I decided to stop in at this little gem. I love all things cultural, and that said, I love Indian food. I was very thrilled with the buffet selection, it had a variety but was simple enough that you weren’t thrown off by a million different meal items to choose from at once. I have to say, I truly enjoyed the flavor, and trying something new that I’d never had before. The server was nice, and since I came here on’ a holiday, they weren’t too busy. Now, I’m going to give this place five stars because of the awesome pudding they had. I forgot what he called it, but to me it tasted like lemon, and then they had rice pudding. I also love rice pudding. So, I had a helping of both… and then another helping… I confess, I would have eaten all of the pudding if I didn’t know better. Try them! I don’t believe you’ll be left disappointed

While I did not enjoy chicken tikka masala or saag paneer(they keep the paneer cubes separate from the saag, making the paneer cold) on the buffet, I felt that the lamb meatballs were delicious, as was the lamb curry. Both sauces were full of complex spices and flavor. This is not an Indian joint I would visit except for lunch. The buffet was well priced and it will certainly scratch that Indian itch, but I’d venture elsewhere for dinner.

Been here a couple of times. Once for buffet and once for takeout. The buffet is pretty good. Good selection and good eat for around $ 10. Overall good deal. The take out was damn good. Best item to eat is «Chicken Mirch Mazedar»(I think that’s right). Very spicy if you like spicy try the original otherwise mild it up. Seriously don’t even ask to make it spicy, you are warned. Ate it with the garlic naan and some fried rice. Flavor and spices were amazing, have not eaten anything quite like it. Pretty sure my nose was running the whole time but I couldn’t stop eating. Simply great. Great experience so far. Will return.

My friend and I came here for dinner out of curiosity. When I checked in, i was pretty excited to use the coupon that popped up on the Unilocal app. We quickly found out that the host had no idea what Unilocal is and he refused to honor the coupon for the al carte meals. There was a Unilocal sticker on the the entrance door, but the host was utterly confused when I showed him the app. I was a little sad, but oh well… if we return next time, we’ll try to use it then. Food: We ordered the Tiki Masala and Vindoloo Chicken! We heard much about these dishes and were excited to try them. The dishes came out in a small bowl. We were surprised by the portions, but by the time we were done, we were stuffed. Tiki Masala — the sauce was a tad too tomatoey than what I’m used to. The chicken was ok, it wasn’t too dry but it wasn’t very tender. Vindoloo Chicken — the level of spiciness was just right. The sauce was good, but it wasn’t my most favorite. The chicken was tender. Garlic Naan– it was delicious and complimented the saucy dishes. I prefer this over the plain naan. Price: Dinner prices are more expensive than other places. We had no idea they charged $ 4 for a bowl of rice. It doesn’t come with the meal. It’s probably a better deal to get Naan since it’s cheaper. I heard the buffet prices are $ 9.99. I may try that one day. Ambiance: It’s not too impressive or decorated. The seats were a little sticky. The walls of the restaurant are extremely thin. You can hear the bollywood practices next door. It takes away from the intimate feel if you’re trying to catch up with friends. Customer service: The customer service was ok. The host filled our waters whenever it was running low. He would come over to ask us how our meal was. He was courteous as well.

Lunch buffet $ 9.99 This place does Schlumberger discount. I only know cause I paid with my Secu card and the manager asked if I worked for SLB, I replied«my husband does» and he said«oh we give discount to employees». Service was great, great place for a quick lunch and I love the idea of fresh hot naan when you sit down, though, that said, it wasn’t my favourite place for naan. Avoid the bhaji’s(I assume that’s what they are) they are just overcooked, cold, bland strips of onion stuck together in clumps. Yeuck! Lamb meatballs — spicy, like nose runningly spicy. But tasty. The sauce they are in was nice too. Chicken tikka massala — was a very mild, overly tomato-y(Southern Indian?) version of this dish. The sauce tasted like the tomato bisque you get with grilled cheese at BJ’s. Chicken curry — I only tried the sauce cause I didn’t want to fight with bones for lunch, but it was tasty. Also spicy, but not too much for me. Sag paneer(spinach and cheese) was DELISH! Yellow daal was pretty bland and boring, but it’s not something I normally eat so i’m not a sage person on the subject! I couldn’t take my hubby here as all of the meat dishes were spicy and he cries over veggie dishes cause he loves his meat. For the price it’s A-ok. I’m going to sample some of the other local indian lunch buffets to compare!
