We stumbled on this place and decided to try it. Awful! I ordered a chicken biryani(it was the most sorry dish I have ever set eyes on), these guys no nothing about the«Bombay flavor» nor do they know how to prepare it. The butter chicken was very salty and too thick, it all floated in oil. And the kulfi Falooda was the most disgusting! USD4.99 for something that tasted like it had«oil» in it and there was no kulfi, if there was any, it was completely watered down/melted and it just had a huge glob of tasteless vermicelli. It was not even palatable, we left it after taking a little taste. When I told the server, he still charged me for it and was gloating over his disservice, not at all apologetic and did want to make amends. Pathetic! If there was an option for zero rating, that is what they deserve. BEWARE! This place is a hoax! NEVER go here. Horrible!

First of all, don’t let the emptiness of the place scare you. Seriously, I have been here probably 4 – 5 times now(mostly for the lunch buffet) since it’s so close to my house, and there never seems to be anyone around. I’m usually the first customer there, and I have to go out of my way to flag down the staff who like to hang out in the kitchen. Not a great sign, but if all else fails, just get up and ring the bell on the front counter for service. The food and the affordable pricing however, makes up for the quietness and lack of service. For $ 8.95, the lunch buffet is a steal. While not quite as good as the buffet at Naseeb Restaurant, the buffet here has a decent selection including different curries, tandoori chicken, vegetarian options, samosas, rice/naan, and dessert. I leave happy and satisfied every time! NOTE: There’s a sign outside that says all-day buffet, but they close it at 3:30PM. Last night was actually the first time I came here for dinner. Again, there was no one to be found, so I rang the counter bell and my family just opted to get their«combo for one» meals to take home(take out only). After a 20 minute wait, we were on our way home with our food and HOLYCRAP is all I can say! I got the chicken tikka masala combo, and it came with a huge portion of saag paneer, lots of rice, a huge samosa, and a huge piece of naan. ALLFOR $ 9.95! The portion size was easily good for 2 meals, and I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. My dad also really enjoyed his lamb vindaloo combo. The only thing I thought was less amazing was the naan, which tasted just a little burnt/chewy. Maybe it’s a good thing no one was around, because the food was fresh and delicious. In case there’s any confusion, I believe they changed ownership and renamed the restaurant«Mumbai Grill,» but it still says«A1 Bombay Grill» on the storefront. One star off for lack of service/attentiveness, but for the food, I would definitely come back again and again.

There is no option for zero review else I would have given that. I ordered Karachi chicken and paneer masala even after repeatedly telling that I need no spice(chilies) they still added and the food was so spicy that at the end we had cook food our self. When called the owner he started pointing fingers that’s it’s our fault and we didn’t order the right way. HORRIBLEUNHYGIENICFOOD, SELFRIGHTEOUSATTITUDE — – COMPLETEWASTETOMONEYANDTIME.

BUYERBEWARE !!! We ordered food for a party from this place. Although the service and the food taste was good, the ingredients used are questionable. One of the party trays for paneer that i had ordered was rotten and thankfully one of my guests pointed it out and we had to throw the entire tray away. I was worried that my guests including children would have fallen ill if they ate that. Rest of the food was good but i would highly recommend not catering from this place. Eating in here should be ok as you have the option of returning the food if you find its bad. The owner on top of that got defensive about the issue when i mentioned the rotten paneer to him. He was courteous once I told him that I was calling to inform him and not ask for a refund.
