They have great service, the food is excellent and it is fairly average when it comes to price. The Naan was magnificent. Would recommend to anyone.

My second time here, their Nihari is Damn damn damn! I had it with brain and nalli, I asked for no oil, I haven’t tried anything else so not sure about other things but if I am eating Nihari in houston it will be at DDK, I live 20 miles from here but I still come. Owner seems very kind and care for his business, staff is polite as well. Now I am waiting for my Nihari and drooling thinking about it lol

One of the absolute best places to get Pakistani food in all of Houston! The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, the food is always fresh and delicious(one of my personal favorites is the nihari — OMG — so good), and the owners are the sweetest you will ever meet! Seriously, try this place out, it’s amazing.

One of the best Pakistani restaurants in Houston! The food tastes like you’re eating your moms home cooked food! Delicious and great ambiance! Not like other dhaba type restaurants! The owners and staff are especially nice and check on the customers. The whole experience is like you’re there special guests! Love the handmade chapatis, goat biryani, bun kabob, chicken kadhai and so much more!

Well the set up is not bad. But its for sure over priced and for what you pay for a chicken leg you can go any where and get a whole meal for it. FYI they charge you for water so bring your own lol. And the rice is extra too.

We are so lucky to live less than a mile from this place. The service is top notch! They answered any and all questions we had about the menu, helped suggest what to order and everything was EXCELLENT!!! Definitely one place we’ll be frequenting!

I dare to say that I had never before this day been served by a more enthusiastic overly helpful and rather intrusive waiter! I was asked every 3 – 5 minutes if I needed anything. When a new costumer came in and sat 2 tables away, the same waiter said: «this is the best biriany you can imagine — ask that lady(pointing towards me) how good our food is»! Given that I am a young woman and was by myself at the time AND given that my neighbor was a single man significantly older than me dressed in ethnic outfit, and given the demographics of the people that frequent this restaurant — this put me at a very awkward situation. After I ate the super greasy and tasteless meal — again I was asked by the same waiter: «the food was good right?» What do you say to that?

Food. We ordered the chicken biryuni and beef bab and some butter naan to eat there. I liked the chicken biryuni — long grained rice with chicken. Great flavor, but you do have to watch out for some small chicken bones. :/The beef was okay. I’m just not a fan of the beef stick all stuffed together concept. I don’t like meatballs, so this texture was kinda like that. Not a fan. Both dishes came with 2 sauces that were good for dipping. Atmosphere. Surprisingly nice and clean! They have a section with tables, booths, and the sit down on the floor Japanese kinda seating. Service. They have a counter you can order at for to-go orders but they also have sit down service. It was our first time there so we ended up ordering at the counter and then sitting down. Oops. The waitress was very good at getting our drinks and got the food out quickly. We came here on a Tuesday night. Overall, I would try it again. However, the food portions aren’t huge, so you need to order a few of them or just be okay with being half full. :P

Food is good. Period! Nihari, chicken boti and behari, all good, beef chapli kabob, also good. I enjoy this place, its clean, the owner is very accommodating and food comes out properly. Bottom line for me, the food is good, place is clean. I go here once every 2 weeks… actually going to head there right now! To the person complaining about tipping the 18% added gratuity. The reason alot of Pakistani and many other restaurants due this is because the customers do not leave a good tip and its hard to keep waitstaff for a good amount of time if they are not tipped well. Yes, I also know they should do their job accordingly, dont get me wrong on that part. But even if you go on Bellaire or any one of these crawfish places, they add gratuity no matter how many people. ITs the clientele they get, its pretty simple. I’m not saying you do it, its alot of ppl that are Pakistani that do this. I’ve seen it done. I’ve seen people leave a $ 5 tip on a $ 100 bill at a Pakistani restaurant and leave a $ 15-$ 20 tip at a chain restaurant… hope you get my point.

Went in seeing great reviews on Unilocal. Mostly grilled items on menu. some were ok, but the«chicken boti roll» should have passed it! Other«entrees» have small portion sizes and not much gravy. Over all food was ok! Restaurant is clean. don’t often run into a «clean» Pakistani restaurant. lol Owner came to our table a couple of times to check on us and inquire about our experience. that was very nice of him!

Came to DDK for dinner on a Sunday night with a revelation. They became really busys after 7pm, so come early to avoid crowds. The restaurant staff definitely seemed overwhelmed with the big groups that were in. The restaurant was clean and a decent size. The menu features your standard grill items, nihari(they have a nigari with paya and maghaz option too) a few different biryanis and some different items like chicken aloo kheema. They also had a couple daals on the menu which were both good. In addition to the daal I ordered nihari, naan, chicken seekh kabob to share with my husband, the portion sizes were big enough to share. Nihari meat was a little on the fatty side but the soup was good. The seekh kabob was nice and probably my favorite thing I tried. I tried a bite of the chicken biryani was was also good. I was there with a friend who dinned there previously that said the food came out quicker this time and the quality seemed to be improved. Give DDK a try if you’re out in the Sugarland area. Prices are great.

Two stars because the older gentleman was very very nice. Here’s why I will not go back. 1. The waitress had to be asked multiple times for silverware and napkins. Like 3x. Our water was never refilled. 2. The dal came out ice cold. I politely and quietly told the nice older man who was very apologetic and said they would remake it. It came back a little warmer but still not hot. 3. The first fish we ordered was good but tiny and we didn’t get enough so ordered a second order. It didn’t taste as good as the first. 4. While the chicken bihari kabob was tender, I didn’t like the flavor at all. I can’t comment on the nihari or the beef bihari kabob because I didn’t eat them. The young girl behind the counter with glasses and one of the male waiters argued back and forth about who was going to take care of the customers order. This went on for a while. We were all staring at them. Poor old man. I don’t know if he’s the owner or not but I feel bad for him because you could see he cared and was trying but everyone else… Oye!

DDK Kabab is some of the best Pakistani food I’ve had in a long time. Step aside, Savoy and Royal! DDK makes great food without reinventing the wheel. Having heard rave reviews about this place, I was excited to try it, especially the nihari: drool: . Knowing how heavy Pakistani food can be, we decided to order two dishes and two orders of naan then re assess. We started off with the fish fry which came with pickled onions, tomato, and lemon. The tilapia was so flavorful. It was fried, but not greasy. The nihari followed piping hot with fresh lemon, jalapenos, and ginger(ask for extra onions on the side). I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious and flavorful it is. The perfect touch of spice, well developed flavors, and heat makes it a winner. The owner makes it himself! The meat is sooooo tender, and there isn’t even a bone! It’s cooked for at least 24 hours, the proof is in the pudding. The owner is the sweetest guy ever! He remembered we don’t like our food too oily and removed most of the oil before bringing it to the table. You can tell he enjoys that you love his food and takes great pride in his restaurant. The restaurant is clean, well staffed, and brand new. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was packed the next time I show up for nihari. Can’t wait to come back!

Service is excellent! Very friendly. Nice atmosphere inside. There’s a floor seating area, table seating and booth. Ordered the Nihari with Nali & Maghaz which was cooked well. The best dish is the Chicken Bihari thus far, and pairing that with the crispy paratha is great. The chicken is very tasteful and cooked just right to melt in your mouth. The Bun Kabab was tasty and a great appetizer, the tamarind sauce makes it a complete dish. The Kheer(Rice Pudding) is the best I had in Houston. Great dessert after all the curry dishes. Owner was very kind and the waitstaff was great. There’s a lot of people serving you making sure you’re comfortable and at home. Will definitely come back again to try the Goat Biryani.

Inside décor is nice and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pillows and middle eastern seating options. Food selection is still small as they just opened. For my taste, everything was too spicy. My husband enjoyed it, but the kids and I could not handle the spice. We had chapli kabobs(too dry, too spicy, too expensive $ 10), seekh kabobs(good), goat biryani(average), mild chicken tikka leg(spicy). Wait staff is a bit incompetent as they cannot even pronounce the names of the dishes. But the owner and his wife are very attentive.
