Excellent coffee brew. Multiple bean flavors roasted on site! And you can buy their fresh roasted beans in whole pound or half pound size to take home and try! I also loved the gluten-free almond flour torte. Very much recommend this spot.

I first came across Karma Coffee while shopping in Whole Foods. Intrigued by the name and the fact they put the roasted date on the bags, I tried their coffee. I’m so happy I did! The Ethiopian Harrar is my favorite and Ethiopian Mokamba a very close second. These coffees are dark and rich without the bitterness. These folks take coffee seriously without being pretentious. Highly recommended!

Had coffee from Karma today at the winter market at Russell’s Garden Center. It was really good. Lots of flavor, no bitterness. Can’t wait to go their shop to bring home a pound or two.

Excellent coffee, expertly roasted and prepared. But the shop always smells harshly of cleaning products, and is uncomfortably furnished.

The cold brew is some of the best I’ve ever had AND they have multiple types to choose from which is kind of mind blowing. That being said, the barista was straight up rude to my MIL. She asked for a tray to carry our drinks out at the beginning of the conversation, mentioned it again at the end(in no way in a rude way) and the barista snapped«I’ve only got two hands.» My MIL apologized to him(which, why are we the ones apologizing to the staff???) and he just kind of nodded. Long story short, if the service had been more pleasant, this would have been a 5 star experience.

Karma Coffee not only has some of the best coffee around, their service is unparalleled! Such nice folks, day in and day out, always taking the time to make recommendations and quide me towards the right bev for the day. Keep rocking, KC!!!

I’m not a coffee snob, so I sometimes feel a bit out of place here, but I know enough to know what I like and I feel they have great coffee. I was recently recommended to go to George Howell coffee in Newton Heights, as a premier location in Boston for coffee beans. There the latte was excellent but the beans that I bought were super expensive and very bitter, perhaps over roasted. At Karma, the beans are always very aromatic and to me more tasty, and more reasonably priced(though still way expensive at about $ 16 per lb.) The ambience of the location is about as low as you can get: a cinder-block nearly windowless ‘space’, so that is definitely not in the plus column. But overall great place.

Truly a gem. It is in Sudbury’s version of an alley hidden behind a Papa Gino’s. The outside looks better suited for light manufacturing or distribution than a upscale food shop. Inside is what you would expect with a contemporary coffee. It is clean, modern and minimalist with a casual urban touch. Seeing coffee roasting equipment and the bustle of the roasters working makes going there an exciting and unique visit. Clearly Karma is a roaster first, and the shop is a business they are expanding into. Food and other drink options are more than a bit limited. Hopefully they can expand their offerings for people to have more reasons to come. The service was fast and cordial, but not noteworthy. There was no attempt to make a connection with the customer, or enhance the experience beyond serving the customer what they ask.

Took my wife ½ hour to get a cup of coffee this morning. There were 6 people ahead of her in line, so it took 5 minutes per cup. If you’re not in a hurry to go anywhere, the coffee is good, but otherwise go to Starbucks.

3.5 stars if I could. Hidden from the main road you would only know it’s here if you managed to spot the small sign or like us were told about it by a local. A small non descript coffee bar which I can only assume they opened because they roast all the beans there. The place smells like just roasted coffee which is lovely. You can see the bags of unroasted beans and the machines from the shop. The people running the show were friendly enough however a little vague and all seemed a little like they weren’t sure what was going on. I think someone was picking up and order and everyone was trying to figure it out rather than one person sorting it out and the rest of the people dealing with the other customers. The cappuccino was good, not great in my opinion though and served too hot-burnt my mouth So between the atmosphere of the shop(which there isn’t any) the ok coffee and the too busy to pay much attention baristas it wasn’t anything special. I’m willing to try again in the hope we came on an off day.

The real deal. Incredible espresso, they know what they’re doing. I drive 20 minutes out of the way, each direction for this. I’ve traveled the country drinking coffee and this place does it right. Plus the employees are fun. Humble place, they could really expand and advertise and its blow up, but I think they like to be a hidden gem. Cold brews and almond milk lattes are my fave.

Amazing coffee! I got an iced latte, and I didn’t need to put any sugar in it! I *love* when I find coffee that isn’t bitter; it’s so rare. I also had a slice of orange-chocolate chip almond torte. So moist, lovely! Next time here: again the iced latte was yummy, not bitter at all, no sugar needed. I tried one of the salty oat pecan cookies; nice! I like that saltiness, not overboard, just enough to enhance the flavor.

Wow!!! This is a gem, hidden away behind Papa Gino’s in Sudbury. The service is friendly and the coffee is AMAZING. Coffee making is an art form here, taken seriously to ensure that every customer gets a cup of handmade perfection. This is out of my way, but well worth the drive. I also appreciate the peaceful, Zen atmosphere.

Espresso is very good has a nice chocolatey flavor to it. Wish this place was open more. Much much better than any Starbucks. They really make take the time to make your coffee. ReMinds me of drinking coffee and Spain.

I’m from Philadelphia, but my girlfriend is from the area. After a few trips up to New England(including Boston) I pretty much just wrote off New Englanders as having bad taste in coffee. That is, until I came to Karma Coffee. I didn’t stick around the store long since we’re just driving through the area, but they apparently roast and grind their own beans, which is pretty great. I got the Harrar cold brew. It has delicious notes of nuts and milk chocolate. After tasting it, even my girlfriend didn’t put milk or sugar in. It’s definitely the best coffee I’ve had in New England.

Just the nicest people. I had iced coffee which was delicious but more importantly the owner and workers are lovely and very peaceful. They roast their own beans here.

Best coffee in Sudbury. Hot chocolate is also a favorite with the kids. So much better than what the chains are offering. The aroma of fresh roasted beans that permeates this place is heavenly.

Had a business meeting nearby and found this hidden gem behind Papa Gino’s. Watch and smell the roasters turning fresh on the premises. Decent amount of seating but very crowded. Not what I’d call cozy atmosphere, but I was quickly served an absolutely delicious cup of hot Harrar. Must try if you are a coffee lover.

I’ve bought coffee beans here several times, and it’s always a pleasant experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about coffee and always happy to answer questions about their roasts and offer suggestions and samples. It’s not cheap coffee but it’s always fresh and they offer a lot of types of bean I’ve never tried, and actually the price per pound is probably pretty comparable to what you’d pay at Starbucks, though infinitely fresher(when was the last time you bought Starbucks beans that were roasted that week, or even that month!). The shop environment has gotten to be quite cozy, and is decorated with art, and modern furniture, and there is usually some cool music playing. This is a great local shop that I love to support whenever I can.

Haven’t updated this since I wrote it in 2009… now it’s almost 2014 and Clem and Ike no longer work here *sniff* miss you guys… but Dave is still the owner and Dave is still the shit. I come here like every day because I live down the road. The coffee is amazing and the prices are competitive. Basically just doing drip coffee nowadays or espresso shots(or both combined… wahoo!) because I’m on an unemployed girl budget, but even the drip coffee is better than any fancy schmancy drink at Starbucks. This place is awesome. It will stupefy your palate with excellence. Definitely stop by, but if you’re coming at around 9AM be prepared to wait in line. Actually, there’s pretty much lines most of the time… this place warrants it, it’s that good! GOHERE!
