Came here reluctantly for my sister’s birthday(reluctantly because I don’t eat seafood). I eat vegan so I wasn’t really sure if I could eat anything here, but Gary totally hooked me up! I explained to him what I don’t eat and he offered a great veggie and noodle hibachi dish suggestion idea, and it was delicious! I would come back with my family!

Great fun in the hibachi room. They put on a great show. I don’t drink a lot so I didn’t even notice it was BYOB. They do squirt saki in your mouth during the cooking presentation if you wave it.(I wanted it and it was good.) Food is excellent. Better than another hibachi restaurant in the neighborhood. Even the broth soup is very tasty. I ask for a small bowl of rice with my soup and put some rice in there… I’m not a fan of soup that doesn’t have a little«texture.» They give you a little salad and then you get your order cooked in front of you while the chef does his thing. It’s funny. He’s funny. But people, PLEASEPLEASE tip the chef when he’s done. They sit you with other people surrounding this big cooking area. It’s nice to talk with new people… buy, after the chef was done, the other people didn’t even give him two or three dollars. I’m sure if you’re eating there, you’re not broke or poor. Prices are a tad higher than I would like. I would recommend the filet mignon hibachi. You can add seafood(my daughter added scallops) but I’m not a fan of seafood. The filet mignon melts in your mouth. The steak hibachi is tender also. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

Not the best sushi I have had better for the price. I’d probably go somewhere else for sushi I’m always willing to pay for good sushi although their hibachi was good!

You go to hibachi for two reasons: 1) The food &2) The experience. Sushi Hana is so good it borders some mythical third reason. I’ll leave it up to you to decide what that«X» favor is. Let me be lead though… it’s amazing. Jacy is the best hibachi chef you’ve ever had in your life.

At first glance you wouldn’t Imagine the inside of this restaurant to look as good as is does, it is very clean on the inside, we were seated very quickly and searched not towels. For me this was a first as I had to google what you are supposed to go with a hot towel lol(O-shibori are used to clean one’s hands before eating, and have long been a common sight in China and Japan). I first ordered the miso soup which was one of the best I’ve had in the area, as a meal I ordered a grass hopper roll and a spicy tuna roll they were good but really not great, to me they were just very ordinary. Our server we had, Ray, was very kind and sweet. I would defiantly come back here again.

This is my favorite Japanese /sushi place to go to. The Teryaki Duck is just so flavorful and amazing. The Beef Negimaki is very good as well. I’d definitely reccomend this place to anyone living in the Morris County NJ area.

I’ve been coming here for the past 6 – 7 years… I’m a huge fan of Sushi Hana and it also happens to be the place where I was first introduced to Japanese cuisine. The food here is amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience. Service is good enough. On a few occasions they’ve gotten orders wrong, but the food is good so I’m very forgiving. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. My favorite roll is the Godzilla roll.(Tuna, salmon, white fish and rice deep fried with spicy sauce, caviar, and scallion.) My only complaint over the years is that the prices have gone up and the size of the rolls has definitely decreased. :(But at the same time, they have made tons of upgrades to the interior. It has a really chill snd comfortable ambiance. Definitely give this place a try!

Went here with my wife and a few other people. The service was good. We got our drinks and food in a timely manner. The food was also very good. Almost everyone I went with got sushi and everyone enjoyed their food. Only thing was that some of the pieces broke easily, but it wasn’t a huge deal. My cousin got the Hana Pizza and I tried a piece. It was fantastic. I’m definitely going to get that next time. I would definitely come back.

Love the sushi here. I have been going to sushihana for about 3 years and have never had a bad meal. The fish is always fresh and the chefs have a NY flair in preparation and presentation. Rolls are always great. I do find they are on the price side for rolls in the area, but they may be the best quality sushi I have found, so it is worth the extra dollar or two for the rolls in comparison I love the Ika Sansai Salad it is quite possibly the best thing on the menu? the Hibachi from the ala carte menu is wonderful. Very affordable for the amount they give. It has a very unique taste that I have not tasted in hibachi anywhere else… must be the sauce they use. I have not sat in on their new Hibachi tables since the expansion, however I have been to the sushi side during a busy night and it was nice to see the service and quality of food did not go down with this expansion. Sometimes when restaurants get bigger their quality is compromised… not here. Excellent management and wait staff. Sushi chefs are top notch. Always a destination stop when i am in the area.

Went to Hibachi side last night w/my husband,(as he doesn’t eat Sushi). I had a starter Salmon/Avocado roll, which was yummy! Hibachi was Excellent! I had shrimp, my husband, steak & shrimp. His was gone in seconds! Really Best of Both worlds… and you can bring beer & wine! A few weeks ago, my kids were visiting from Maryland, so we ALL went, 7 of us! One of the Twins, who are 3 was a bit afraid, with all the fire/clatter & excitement the chefs create @ hibachi tables, but, Our Chef had him laughing in moments, as he started tossing zucchini bites into Grandpa’s mouth! Fun Time was had by All! Try it… you’ll Love it!

I have been looking for a new sushi place since Sushi Ya left roxbury. Tonight I had the volcano roll and amazing roll. Both rolls were good, but not great. There was not much flavor on either roll. The sushi was fresh and the place is very clean. The staff was very attentive and polite. I was not blown away with the sushi but it was still good. I will give them another try.

I’ve been here a couple times with a friend as this restaurant is nearby her house. They have half price sushi on Sunday nights which makes it very tempting. Well give in the temptation, because you won’t regret it. Roar. This place satisfies my craving for fish. Meow.

Sushi Hana just added an Hibachi room to their establishment. Have not been to the sushi side before, but thought we would give the Hibachi a try. The food was very good. Had the filet mignonette and shrimp and was impressed. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly. I do not discern much difference between. Hibachi restaurants, so my rating is average for this meal. The room is a little sparse and could use more decorating. The hibachi chef was pretty much like everyone else I have seen in the past. The Mizo soup is blah and the salad was not worth the effort. They should just forgo these dishes. They are not why you go to a Hibachi place. We go out once or twice a year for Hibachi, I will certainly go back here when we are in the mood again. It is so close, we will probably go more frequently.

Classy place, not too expensive. Nice ambience and food comes out quickly. Hard to go wrong with the $ 7.95 lunch special of salad, miso soup and 2 hand made rolls. They have a large menu so even if you’re not a sushi fan there is other stuff also. Can’t wait for the hibachi place next door.

Sushi Hana is a jewel in the area. The décor is fantastic and sophisticated. The fish is fresh and tasty and they do an amazing job with the presentation, it looks like a piece of art rather than just a meal. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. If you’re in the mood for sushi, Sushi Hana is the place to go!
