GetFit With Aly

I used Aly to tighten up my body when I had a movie shoot looming in the near future. He has a lot of knowledge on what is individually right for each client. Aly was always supportive, and yet inspired me to go that extra mile. He actually got me up to run in the rain once by using just the right amount of reason and guilt. But I always felt amazing right after. I’ve since moved, otherwise I’d still be setting that alarm for 5:15 a.m. and getting my workout done at the start of the day.

Aly is an awesome trainer! It’s so hard to build muscle after 50, but he’s worked patiently and diligently with me to set goals and meet them! The workouts are fun and challenging. I’m a former wimp and never knew I could work this hard but feel so good.

Great workouts. Aly structures your workouts to your needs and goals and he works with you on nutrition as well. The workouts are hard, but you feel great after.

I’ve had several trainers over the years, and Aly has been the best one by far. He really helped me reach my goals. He encouraged me to do more than I could ever imagine I was capable of doing. He was always conscious of my past injuries and helped me strengthen areas that needed the most support. He’s flexible and good humored. I recommend him to everyone!

I found Aly through the gym that I use to go to and when he left that gym I followed. The one thing I noticed about Aly is that he listens to you and works with you to achieve your goal. I mean a guy who is willing to meet you at 5 a.m. in the morning enough said. My boyfriend said he could tell the difference in my body when I started to workout with Aly. All I can say is that if you want a trainer helps you achieve your personal physical goal, Aly is your man.

I found Aly through my employer. Best decision ever! Aly is very professional. He gets to know his client what their needs are and how to approach each training session so that they will get the best results. He was happy to educate me as to what muscles were being used and the benefits to making them stronger. He has been such a blessing and I believe because of his training I have prolonged my massage career. Without a doubt I highly respect Aly and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best trainer.

I’ve been training with Aly for a year and a half, and I can’t recommend him more highly.
Last year, I got hooked on long-​distance hiking, and decided I wanted to start trying some of the big peaks in SoCal (Mt Baldy, Mt San Gorgonio, and one day Mt. Whitney!). I started training with Aly to increase my strength and endurance to help me reach my goals, and I was really impressed with how seriously he took things. He laid out a detailed six-​month plan to help me reach my goals, switching up exercises regularly and increasing the difficulty of the workouts. He was completely focused when training with me in the gym, checking my form constantly and keeping me motivated. He has a way of pushing you just to what you think your limit is, then somehow you push even a little bit more. I worked harder than I ever have before, and felt incredible! [And I made it up Baldy AND San Gorngonio, with amazing times on each.]
When I injured my back while moving boxes (always check your lifting posture!) at the end of last year, I had to switch my training focus a bit to work on recovery. Aly consulted with my physical therapist to make sure we were keeping in line with his recommendations, and he’s been amazing at finding ways to safely work my core to help speed up recovery. His ability to adjust the workout and help me avoid re-​injury while continuing to re-​strengthen has been really impressive. His knowledge of the body, combined with his part-​drill-​sergeant, part-​goofball personality means there’s never a dull moment, you never stop having fun, and you do things you never thought you could do!

First to review!?! Maybe I better keep my mouth shut, so the secret doesn’t get out… but I can’t. This man needs praise. WHAT A WORKOUT!
I had heard raves about Aly’s workouts, and decided to book sessions with him while I was in the L.A. area. I was so pleased that I organized a bootcamp with my girlfriends in SF, and he instructed us. It was a great idea, and we all worked our butts off! They are requesting that I organize another one. I have spent TONS of money on personal trainers, gyms, and various classes, and he is hands-​down the best personal trainer I have ever worked with – he WILL get you results! Aly makes it fun by constantly switching up the workouts, pays attention to every detail (he does not let you get away with anything, and believe me, I tried), and is very sensitive to your needs if you have had an injury. Clearly, exercise is a passion of his.
It does not stop there. He has redefined my idea of nutrition. I now keep a food journal, and he reviews it and give me suggestions and guidance for healthier eating. He has taught me how to properly eat before and after workouts to get maximum results. Now, I just feel better.
Cheers to Aly, he has changed my life. Now, if only everyone had an Aly, the world would look sooooo damn good.
