I took my mother in law to Robert Ellis this afternoon and what a time we had!
Linda and Robert were amazing! My mother in law had a double mastectomy
and some other ailments which affects the clothes she’s comfortable wearing.
Linda was so patient and kind and went out of her way to make my MIL feel
comfortable. Even Magda, their seamstress, was in on the fitting and came up with
ideas that will make the clothes look and feel better. I can’t say enough about how
wonderful this store is! The major department stores could take a lesson from them!

A amazing store, great personal attention and unique items! Robert is a class act!

I can’t say enough good things about this remarkable boutique! I recently sent a client there. She needed a dress for her son’s wedding. She’d been everywhere and couldn’t find what she was looking for. It was the last minute. After trying on everything Robert Ellis had to offer, still nothing worked. But this is just the sort of challenge Robert thrives on. In the middle of the night he got an idea. First thing in the morning he called a vendor. Within 48 hours my client had the PERFECT custom-​made dress for the wedding! Talk about customer service! Where else would something like this happen these days?!

I spent days searching for a beautiful formal dress at places like Saks, Neiman, Bloomingdales, etc., and wish I came here first. This is a very high end place with a beautiful selection. The customer service really blew me away. I felt as though I had a team personal stylists! In less than 15 minutes I had a dressed picked out.
Would defiantly recommend.

After growing (sideways) out of my nice dresses, I needed a frock to attend a wedding, and I’m glad I made it in here! I had actually planned to shop my way down Ventura Blvd, but this was my first stop and I left with a lovely, chic dress that the wonderful Linda helped me find in my price range that I will treasure forever. The whole ring-​the-​bell deal to enter was a little confusing, and I almost walked away without going in, thinking that it must be too fancy– i.e. pricey– for me. True, they did have an IMPRESSIVE array that ranged all the way to those that I would never be able to afford (nor have anywhere to wear.) But I left in love with my dress for a little over $ 300 much happier and much more stylish than if I had gone to the mall like the Lyft lady suggested. Thank you Linda and Robert! I’ll be back as occasion arises!

I am going to Oman and realized my formal dresses would not be conservative enough for the culture. I spoke with Linda who suggested rather than my purchasing 2 new formals, that instead, I bring my dresses and they would try to create wraps for me that would work. Once I got there, Robert and Linda were so amazing. Robert has an incredible eye for fashion and took different materials and created wraps that were not only beautiful, but also functional for my trip. Maggie, his tailor, was more than willing to run with Robert’s vision and my time constraint. I am leaving for Oman in two days. She said she will have my wraps ready within the day. They were unbelievably helpful. While I was there, Robert kept bringing me additional items that he thought would enhance my wardrobe. I purchased a lovely bag, a broach, two jackets, and a pair of pants. I will definitely be a return customer. They also have great coffee, Vanilla Nut.

Needed a dress for a formal wedding and this store was recommended by several of my clients. First of all I was overwhelmed by the selection of beautiful dresses, but Robert personally made it his mission to find me the perfect dress!!! He had such an eye for colour and style. I felt like a princess in his store. I tried on a few other dresses just in case I had another formal event to go to and ended up with 2 that I just adore! And the accessories there are fantastic too. Friendly staff, upscale but not stuffy. Thank you Robert for having such a wonderful place right in my neighborhood!

I have had Robert Ellis dress me for several events. His taste is impeccable, his guidance never fails, his collections are amazing and for what you get, I’d say he is pretty reasonable. Their customer service skills are outstanding. I love going to this place. Maggie has altered many items for me. She is the queen of alteration. Their accessories are great. If you are like me and don’t know what you are doing, Robert or Linda will help you put together the most perfect ensemble.
I also love how involved they are with St. Jude’s. This place gives back to the community. Kudos.

AMAZING! I don’t need to shop anywhere else. Robert has the most amazing clothes — high fashion for a woman’s body. From casual to formal, he and his sales staff are delightful, helpful and will pull exactly your style from their inventory. You will walk out with whole outfits from head to toe and feel like a well-​dressed lady every time you wear the clothes purchased from this store. This is the best find whether you drive in from the city or live in the valley. Customers who know this store even come from out of town.

I was surprised to discover the kind of stylist that movie stars utilize in this Studio City boutique. The saleswoman/​stylist Ellen is very well-​versed in what is required for every type of event, and she is cognizant of budget & body type as well.
Ellen is a quick-​study and won’t show you anything that doesn’t fit your pocketbook or personality.
This place is a treasure for twenty-​somethings to seventy-​somethings.

I was recommended to this store and stopped by to look for a dress for my step-son’s upcoming wedding. I had not planned on shopping that day but saw the store when I parked for an appointment nearby. I advised the clerk of my needs and she proceeded to insult me in several ways. She may not have meant it — but in thinking about the experience, I will not shop here.
Walking toward the dresses, I said that I am a size 14 — she replied, «I can see that»; then asked if I wore sleeveless dresses and when I said I preferred something with a cap sleeve, she replied something like «I figured that». Then, not knowing my budget, when I looked at one of the frocks, she said that it was too expensive for me — how did she know that $ 2,000 for a dress was more than I planned to spend?
So, instead of going back to this store when I had time to shop, I went to Nordstrom’s, had a delightful saleslady and bought a beautiful expensive dress!
