Service was great, and the food was solid. Love that it’s a BYOB with no cork fee. Will be back.

No photos this time sorry. Waitress was very pleasant & pretty good. The food was pretty good, however, we waited an extraordinarily long amount of time for it. We asked the waitress why that was & she said it was because several parties walked in at the same time so the kitchen got backed up. We thought that was a poor excuse. This restaurant has been in business a few years so they should certainly know what they’re doing. The owner(who we saw there walking around) should have been checking on the kitchen making sure they were getting out the orders. Sorry but we wouldn’t go back as last time we also had a bad experience(with the service). 3 stars is being generous & only because the waitress was nice &SOME of the food was very good.

Two stars because the napoleon was delicious as for the rest of the meal left a bad taste. I ordered the Rollatine di Rapini dinner which is chicken stuffed with broccoli rabe, sausage and cheese, well it was takeout hungry we deliver delivered it to us(they were impressive) but anyway my chicken was not cooked all the way many raw spots through out it and my salad had many pieces of lettuce with brown spots, I also had mixed vegetables which was not mixed it was only zucchini with a ton of black pepper on it. My friends had eggplant and chicken parm they said the sauce had a terrible taste and they said their veges had a ton of black pepper on them too! No a winner by a long run they only thing they have going for them are the pastries which must be delivered by a respectable establishment.

Delicious! Really loved that Mambo sandwich, its HUGE! Wasn’t so impressed with the muffaletta, but if you haven’t been spoiled by a real New Orleans muffaletta it is truly delicious(just would have liked more tapenade) Atmosphere is great and music is so relaxing. Next time you’re having the«where do you want to go to eat?» «No where do YOU want to go to eat?» just go to pipolo’s. You wont regret it

Stopped in for a nice meal last night. The gang wanted Italian and we were making our way back home near Scranton. Having lived in the Stroud area I remembered this place but had never had the occasion to visit. While I wish we had a bigger table I will say our food was really good. 3 of us had the Ch Parm. 5 stars !!! My lady had a pork thing she wasn’t crazy about but that’s her fault. She went rouge on us. She normally gets seafood. Bread and oil on table was a nice touch and side salad had nice slices of tomato and cucumber. A nice palate cleaner. Their house marinara is truly great. Thick and full of tomatoes with a slight sweetness. I’d eat there again and might even order take out if I’m driving through.

Great go to for all things Italian. Love the sandwiches, cheeses and meats. I love that they use Boars Head and imported foods. The only negatives are the limited parking and location. It’s very hard getting out of the parking lot. I do wish they would relocate closers to Tannersville in a more convenient lot.

Yummy dinner!!!(shrimp on bed of linguine) I would have loved a glass of wine with dinner, but the restaurant is BYOB. We picked up some cookies on our way out for snacks for later. The apple turnovers were wonderful!

A great meal, great staff and a dreamy dessert counter! We found this place via the smart phone. I’d passed it a few times while driving(I’m new to the area) but it didn’t stand out. We arrived a little early and sat right down. We’d made a reservation but didn’t need it at the time we arrived. By the time we left the place was busier so I’d suggest a reservation depending on when you’ll go. Service was immediate. They don’t have a bar but I believe the place is BYOB. They brought bread and we ordered the fried zucchini. We both liked it immensely though I’d like a little more seasoning on the zucchini. She had the pasta fagioli soup and loved it. We both had salads with dinner. I had the special — chicken with crab. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. I wasn’t a huge fan of the crab with the chicken and cheese, however. She had shrimp scampi and it was delicious. We took home a selection of the cookies and pastries. I highly recommend the Napoleon and apple turn over. Service was prompt and friendly. Several people checked on us during dinner to make sure things were good and they were. We liked the attention but it was’t overwhelming. Everyone was friendly. The atmosphere was casual — good for friends out for the night, date night, family. I’ll definitely be back.

I wouldn’t even call this Italian. Plain and simple. No flavor. No bread for dipping. Old balsamic in bottles. Just not good.

Ordered hot antipasto for two. It wasnt hot and it definitely wasn’t enough for two. Salad was small and drenched in dressing. Entrée took over 45 minutes to arrive. When I inquired about the delay, the owner said he was«short staff». Owner wasn’t very apologetic, almost rude. The veal my husband ordered and my eggplant parmigiana were ok. But considering the wait, it should have been better than ok. We should have gone to Texas Roadhouse down the road!!!

So I went once before and I thought my meal was terrible but every time I drive past its always packed so I figured I would try it one more time. Never again! My boyfriend ordered an Italian hoagie which had no oil on it so it was extremely dry. My sandwich was ok it was just a plain veggie sandwich, I added salt that is how bland it was. The prices were ridiculous. 2 sandwiches, an antipasto(very small). 2 pieces of about 4 things, 2 sodas. $ 43.00. The place is very tiny where if you are putting your jacket on the waitress is running you over. No I would not return here again.

This is twice now I’ve gone out of my way to go in for lunch based on their posted menu only to be told they were only offering cold pre-made sandwiches. If your«shop» is open but not your restaurant — you need to make that clear. 1130 is not a strange time for a lunch either, so again if you do not serve lunches you should make that clear. I can’t speak to dinner here and probably won’t ever be able to, because even if I manage to get myself to a place where I’m willing to go out of my way to go there again, I can only assume that I’ll be offered pre made meals again and walk out. I can get pre made sandwiches at the gas station, I expect a lot better from an «Italian eatery.»

In Stroudsburg visiting family, I searched for a local high quality Italian restaurant to spend an informal, relaxed dinner. Pipolo’s met that and more! Unassuming on the outside, my family said they drove by the site hundreds of times and never noticed the place. Once inside we were promptly seated at a window table(to watch the traffic). Our server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 specials for the night, giamboto and clams, scallops and mussels over pasta, as well as 2 orders of tortellini. All were excellently prepared and enjoyed by all. Many italian eateries do not do tomato sauce(tomato gravy to true italian aficionados) to my liking. However, the sauce here was great. Even the semolina, sesame bread was very good with olive oil for dipping. All in all it made for an enjoyable and memorable meal experience.

I came here with my family on a weekday for lunch. We were the second table there upon arrival. Throughout our stay there, there were no more than 12 customers seated for lunch. We ordered the lunch special of the day, an eggplant hero, and a kid’s penne with meatball. We waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. There was one really sweet server managing all the tables. As such, things such as extra napkins(which she kindly offered) and an extra plastic cup for the kids’ soda, took extra long to come. The food once here, was excellent. I had to give this place 3 stars for the sloooooooowwww service. I’d love to come again if they could be more expedient.

Everything was excellent from the food to the service. My husband and I split a meal, and glad we did as the portions are HUGE! The rice balls appetizer was amazing, and our chicken Parmesan was one of the best I have ever had! Very good and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who love Italian.

A great find in the Stroudsburg area. I enjoyed visiting the mini Italian grocery section with fresh ingredients. They even have Manhattan Specials(drink)! Food was good, great variety along with reasonable prices. I will definitely return when I am back in Stroudsburg. P. S.DONOT use the Unilocal Direction option on your smartphone.
