Brought a car up here to have a hole plugged in the front tire. They said they can’t plug it so they replaced the tire. While replacing the tire the brake line busted. No one called to tell us this. We came in the next morning to pick the car up and still no warning about the brake line being broken. They were going to let us drive out of the parking lot WITHNOBRAKES! Thank goodness my boyfriend knew something was wrong when he went to start the car and the brake pedal went straight to the ground! How unprofessional, allowing a customer to sign the papers and pay for everything just to find out we have no brakes. Next time I’m taking my car across the street to Marathon for any work to be done!

Normally, swapping wheels is something I’d do myself. But it was minus-something-degrees outside, the ground was covered with snow, and I don’t have a garage. It was thus that I found myself at this NTB, where I was assured that I could stop in and pay $ 15 and wait half an hour to have my winter wheels swapped on. In reality, it took more like an hour, and would have been longer had I not noticed that my car was parked out front with the job finished and asked why I was still waiting(spoiler: they didn’t have a good answer). The task did, however, cost only $ 15 including tax. The waiting area consisted of a few old chairs, an overly-loud TV with no remote in sight, and some stale coffee in little styrofoam cups. They did bag my other wheels and didn’t make a mess of anything, so I can’t really complain too much – it’s a chain mechanic place, after all. Just don’t expect great service, and I don’t think I’d trust them with anything more than tire rotation or swapping a battery.
