Screamers Café is every mom’s dream: a warm, friendly place where you can get a decent and affordable bite to eat while your children happily play alongside you. The best thing about Screamers is that no one expects the kids in the café to be quiet. You don’t get dirty looks if your kid starts to have a tantrum, or is he or she screeches in excitement at a toy. Heck, the place is called Screamers for a reason! A friend and I recently took our four kids to Screamers for lunch. We were initially concerned because one of the children has a food allergy, but the owner, Leslie, quickly alleviated any fears. She was well-versed with the food allergy business and quickly provided a long list of safe foods. While my friend and I looked over the menu, our kids played quietly at the bean table. And surprisingly, no one tried to eat the beans! Next to the bean table was a Lego table that held their attention equally. Also appealing to the kids was the little wooden play house. There was also a separate play area with a play kitchen, and some other toys. The kids were completely occupied until the food(quickly) came. The menu contained standard café fare: sandwiches, soups, and salads alongside kid favorites like mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, pizza, and PB&J. The older boys opted for hot dogs and mac-n-cheese. I shared a yummy quesadilla with my daughter. There were self-serve drinks, and an assortment of juice boxes, cheese sticks, carrots with dip, and applesauce to keep little ones content while the food was being prepared. Prices were very reasonable. A kid’s meal included a drink, snack, entrée, and dessert for $ 6. Most of the adult sandwiches were around $ 5 each. Not only is Screamers a great café, they also offer cooking classes for kids, movie nights, birthday parties, and do catering, and baking for special occasions. Screamers Café is located at 72 Porstmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. They are open M-F from 9 am — 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am — 2 pm. They are closed Sunday.

A great place for families with young kids! Located in the Stratham Plaza, Screamers Café is a unique kid friendly and fun place to eat serving breakfast(all day), lunch, and dinner. This café has a very colorful and homey atmosphere which has an indoor play area, big TV, seating at the counter and table seating. The place also has that reminiscent preschool feel, yet it’s a casual family restaurant. The food is prepared to order in the cozy open kitchen. Cooking classes for kids are also offered here. The menu offerings include an extensive selection of creative sandwiches, paninis, quesadillas, soups, salads, breakfast items(served all day), lil screamers meals, homemade desserts, and cool ice cream treats. See the menu and specials at On my way back home from Portsmouth, I decided to stop at Screamers Café to grab a light dinner to go. I also had an Entertainment BOGO coupon for this eatery. I was warmly greeted by the owner as I entered the place. There were several customers with their young kids enjoying their dinner at the counter. I took a couple moments to decide what I wanted. The owner suggested the Monte christo and quesadillas were excellent. I made up my mind and the owner asked me, «what’ll it be?» I replied, «Can I have a Kenison?» The owner replied, «you sure can!» Seriously, Can I have a Kenison($ 6.50) is a jalepeno cheddar wrap filled with grilled chicken, lettuce, sour cream, tomato, jack cheese, and rice. Actually, there was a Kenison who served as the NHDOT Commissioner several years ago. I also ordered The Munster($ 6.00-free with coupon), which is pastrami, Swiss cheese, spicy cole slaw, thousand island dressing on grilled pumpernickel bread. The total came out to $ 7 and change with coupon. The owner was very friendly and thanked me for stopping in. The sandwich and wrap were both excellent, well made, and very tasty. I actually enjoyed some of the eats during the ride home on the 101 since I was starving! If you’re in the mood for delicious food or some ice cream and a cool fun kid-friendly atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Screamers Café. (Overall 4.5 stars) FACEBOOK:
