The Home Depot

Do NOT use Home Depot for your kitchen counters — we place our order on April 11^th and we will be lucky if they are installed by the end of June! That is completely unacceptable as we were given a 5 to 10 day window after the template and they are now going 3 weeks beyond the 10^th day! Please do yourself a favor and shop around– they use Stoneworks a par of Unico in NY and ultimately they can’t/won’t do anything to expedite your order. Once they have your money, their customer service goes from a 9 to a 0. Never again for anything, I will take the trip to Lowe’s.

This is a decent Home Depot location. It is conveniently located right off if exit 33 on Interstate 95 north (note there is no exit 33 on I95 south. There is a huge parking area do you will have no problem finding a space for your automobile. The garden section is large with a good variety of plants and landscaping products. Finally, there are four self check out stations which is a big plus!

This is one of the nicer Home Depots and it’s pretty well maintained. I’m not sure if it’s just the fact that I don’t work in the electrical/​construction world, but I always feel completely lost in them. This one thankfully has a nice staff who’s eager to help a woman trying to find whatever it is I’m looking for. The pricing is the same as everywhere else and seasonal stuff is often less.
Speaking of, we just went there for soil and planter stuff and came home with some great looking starter broccoli, lettuce, and strawberry plants. We’ll see how they hold up, but so far so good and it only cost $ 7!
My only two complaints here are getting in and out of the giant lot that it shares with the Walmart and Shop Rite. For there being only three entities in the lot, it sure garners a huge amount of people at any time of the day. Secondly, the customer service folks who require you now to go through self check out (which is ridiculous at a Home Depot — nothing is easily scanned besides paint brushes maybe) aren’t helpful and often end up just sighing when they have to take you over to their podium to ring you out. I wish they’d keep more than one register open because it seems pretty silly to go about it this way despite it being easier to staff and therefore less money out of pocket.

If you’re shopping for a bathroom sink or a surround for the tub wall, be careful. The bathroom sinks off the shelf are very poor quality. If you drop anything in the sink, it cracks. The surround has a defect and didn’t notice until it was installed. ANY product you buy from this company, make sure you check it out. Most of their merchandise is of poor quality. Unless you don’t mind replacing household items frequently, don’t go here. Chose a place that you know will last a long time.
