Sad that this place is no longer open the pizza was really good and was me and my wife’s pizza and movie date night spot of choice. Thanks for all the good times and great wood fired pizza. Will miss it.

The following may be sacrilegious to state as I hale from New Jersey. But it’s true. They simply make the best wood burned brick oven pizza I have ever had. A perfect crust. Thin, but not too thin. Crisp, but not too crisp. With just the right amount of flame kissed charring. And those bubbles… Ah those bubbles. My all time favorite pie is the«Blonde Vermonter». A white pie featuring an uncommon grouping of ingredients. Asiago, white cheddar, mozzarella, green apples, olive oil and ham. Put them together and you’re in culinary heaven. Perfection. I know the guys back home in Jersey will read this and say«dat ain’t real pie». This may be true. All I know is that whatever it is, is incredible. The décor at Pie in the Sky kind of has«The Grateful Dead goes to Outer Space» vibe with a staff to match. I love it. Pie in the Sky is my favorite pizza place… Period.

You have not lived until you tried the Blonde Vermonter! Wow who would think ham and apples on pizza would be good. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Ate there 2÷8÷2014. Cesar salad was good. Enough for 3 people. Pizza was doughy, bland. Sauce was tasteless. Chicken in Chicken Parm was freezer-burned and one end was slightly rancid but, over cooked enough so, I didn’t worry. Suffered from same bland, thin sauce as pizza. Staff dude unleashed massive head-scratch in dining room. Not professional. Price was ok for resort town.

Wood fired pizza with a nice IPA… need I say more? We walked in for a quick bite and I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty food and attentive service. Gluten free crust available but in one size only.

Service is very slow but they rush you at the end. They asked if we wanted dessert while we were still chewing our dinner – which arrived late. It’s also very loud. Crust is also very flavorless. The Tuscan looks good but has no flavor. Spinach salad is nice. Still in search of the best pizza in Stowe… Where is American flatbread when you need them?

Sit at the bar– very attentive staff and you can watch the pizzas go into the oven. The blonde vermonter is a great pizza. Also the Buffalo wings is a great starter. This place is crazy busy on a Saturday night– be prepared.

First time to Stowe, just happened to stop at Pie in the Sky cause it was lunch time. Very fresh ingredients, the goat cheese pizza was the best! The wood fire flavor of the crust was excellent!

Very good pizza, Pizza sizes are kind of small in my opinion and it is pretty expensive but the pizza is good. My family always makes a point to stop here at least once while we are in vermont on vacation!

For many years, at least once during our vacation week in the Stowe area, we would have dinner at Pie In The Sky. We continued to return because of the variety, quality, and quantity of their menu. This time it was different. The quality was so so, very small portion for chicken parm(lots of pasta), and the price was higher than most restaurants, especially considering the portion of chicken on my dish(hard to fine). Also, the pizza was very thin with sparse toppings. For one large pizza, soft drinks, two salads, and my dish, $ 70(with tip). Not a good value.

If you are coming to Stowe and are looking for a pizza night, Pie in the Sky is where you should go because they have a wood-burning oven so you can see them make your pizza. Also, the pizza’s are homemade and homemade pizza’s always taste better. A favourite for me!

I ordered a small cheese and a large BBQ chicken. Both pizzas were very dry. Cheese didn’t have enough cheese or sauce. The BBQ was tasty, but it was also extremely dry with very little sauce. Also the cheese was patchy. Both pies needed some oil. The chicken on the BBQ was very bland. It was plain ??? No sauce. The waiter was friendly and the pie’s came out fast, but the he never came back with the check. The décor was cute and clean, but nothing special. It was like a Friendly’s with a bar. Prices were expensive. The BBQ large was $ 20. It was worth $ 15 at most. I have tried a lot of pizza. This place was not the worst, but it was very disappointing, especially since the other reviews were so positive. Waste of a meal and $ 60.

Asked a local for the best pizza in town. She said this place and Pie-casso are equally good. We pulled in here for lunch because we came to it first along the road. It was awesome. Pizza was delicious, but be warned, the half salad is larger than many other place’s full salads. Highly recommend.

When we go to Stowe and we want pizza, Pie In The Sky is our favorite. We have been there a half dozen times over the years and, while not perfect, their pizza is reliably strong and the atmosphere is decent for a family joint. They have good selection of brews on tap, including a Vermont favorite, Switchback. I’ve never had desert there, so I can’t comment. We are always too full after pizza or talk ourselves into heading over to Ben and Jerry’s!

This restaurant was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. Pizzas were tasty and they allowed for us to split a pizza with different toppings($ 1 extra per type). They have different doughs(regular, herb, and gluten free). We had the herb dough. I am unsure of the pricing of a regular pizza joint in this area, but I thought it was kinda pricey for the amount you get. They pack on the toppings though and the service is good.

We had tried other pizza places in the area(Piecasso) and I have to tell you this was truly one of the best pizzasI have ever had! The wood burning oven turned out a perfectly crisp, flavorful pie topped with incredibly fresh ingredients. And this, from a jaded New Yorker. I think we’ll come back again this week. It was that good.

The pizza was good and predictable here. To be critical it was a bit underdone for a wood-fired oven but the ingredients were fresh and it tasted really good. I think they used San Marzano tomatoes in the sauce which is a plus in my book. It’s a great, laid-back place for families with friendly service and a nice local beer selection. We also decided to get take out here when we were searching for another Stowe dining option. The meatball + green pepper pizza hit the spot in the hotel room just the same!

We stopped here on our way to Burlington on a Thursday evening for a quick early dinner. We were looking for something that wasn’t overwrought resort food or grab and go fast food and Pie in the Sky falls neatly in that niche. After much deliberation and consideration of some of the signature pies on the menu, the lady and I decided to split a custom smoked gouda and red onion pizza. We ordered a Switchback Ale(hers) and Hill Farmstead Red(me) for complementary suds– the beer menu was small but peppered with a few quality local options. The wood-fired oven pizza came out quickly, with the crust singed on the edges given the high heat. The pizza itself was good but not great, with a tangy sauce that was a bit heavy on tomato paste for my tastes. Service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant itself is larger than it looks, with a few side rooms and a curved bar in front of the oven. There is also a small patio/deck area in front. MVP: Smoked gouda on pizza. Who knew? Also, the pizza was served on a baker’s peel– a nice touch. LVP: Although they boast an astounding 43 toppings, the prices make no sense. For some reason the red onions were more expensive a topping than the gouda. What the what? I don’t profess to be an expert on Stowe pizza– it was a toss-up between this and Pie-casso– but we left pretty happy and full.
