Not every restaurant is a 5 star restaurant. You get what you pay for. That was true in this case. Prices were average and the bill not too high. We had very inconsistent food. My husband’s Reuben was very good and, as one would expect from this sort of chain restaurant the fries were excellent. My son likes soup and had broccoli cheddar. It was pretty awful. Like someone half microwaved frozen broccoli and dumped it into some cheese whiz. The broccoli was al dente to the point of crunchy. I got a side salad and added steak to it. The steak was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. It only cost $ 4 to add it to the standard side salad, which was only $ 3 to begin with. The tomatoes in the salad were fresh and the peppercorn dressing very good. I assume I should thank«Ken» for the dressing. Unfortunately not even Ken’s steak house Peppercprn Ranch could make the wilted salad greens more palatable. My shoes stuck to the floor when I walked… I was happy to get to the carpeted area. The hostess was very friendly and courteous. I was a bit grossed out by how sticky the high chair was that they brought us and that it had some gross melted food on it, and a little annoyed that they didn’t check first. Yeah… Going here was my husband’s idea. I think next time we’ll go to Panera.

The food was below average and not worth the money really. The service was okay and the restaurant itself was pretty empty. I’m disappointed in this place, not planning on going back.

Used the ladies room before being seated. It was such a mess with paper towels strewn everywhere, that I thought it would actually help to alert the staff. Although the person I spoke with thanked me for telling them, it was in the same sorry condition when I left. We were given our menus, ordered drinks, pondered choices before our waitress informed us that there were no more ribs available, and only one type of chicken wings, both items I think many people go to this restaurant for. Wanted to leave, but had already drank some of our drinks. Asked for the manager, who nicely provided us with what we wanted to order from some saved place, but it was not the fun eat out experience you drive to a restaurant for. Food tasted good at least!

Not impressed at all… Ordered loaded potato(pulled pork) and green salad combo… What a rip off… One lousy and dried up piece of pulled pork and no cheese to speak of on a tepid potato. When I order a loaded potato I expect a LOADED potato… not this dry and sparsely dressed spud… Salad was small and boring and this plate was NOT worth the money. I will take my money and business somewhere that gives you what you pay for… Even Wendys give you a better potato for ¼ of the price… Friend had the ribs… just OK… little fatty and way overpriced… Will not be returning

The food is mediocre at best. I had the combo with pulled pork and smoked sausage. Neither was anything to write home about. The best thing we ate were the smoked wings.

Had a really nice meal tonight. Walked in with wife and two kids and was ushered to our seats. Within a few minutes we had placed a drink order and had already received our drinks. Everyone at the table was happy with their food choices. The surprise had to be the pork tenderloin, great cut of meat. We will be back

Both St. Louis and baby back ribs are pretty good. And portions are large, you won’t be hungry after your meal. I think the service could be a bit better though.

First-time ever to eat at a Smoky Bones. Wasn’t impressed! Bar seemed to be rocking but the dining room only had about 6 – 8 full tables. Ordered bbq chicken, with steamed broccoli, baked potato(which came plain with butter) and a water(which tasted horrible and came with a lemon wedge which I did not request). Other meal was a full rack of ribs, mashed potato, fries and an unsweeted ice tea. Menu has lots of options for add-ons, like for instance the“loaded baked potato”, for jacked-up prices which I found irritating. Ice tea was $ 2.95, and the waitress only came by once towards the end of the meal for a refill. Service was lack-luster at best although the waitress was quick to point out how fast our food came out(?). Chicken was good, but the ribs were just average and the mashed potatoes were horrible(hard blob with little flavor). Total cost was $ 44.33. You check out using Ziosk at your table so the wait-staff does next to nothing, and just seems to hang out. Upon leaving 3 people were right outside the front doors(2−3ft.) smoking cigarettes which made for a nasty ending to a disappointing meal. Certainly will not go back while I’m here visiting, and would not recommend this place as good bbq.

The place smelled weird when we walked in, like a cross between mustiness and bleach. Our waitress was very unfriendly and barely spoke a word, and the table and menus were very sticky. We ordered the soft pretzel sticks with cheese dipping sauce for an app, which were pretty good. I got the pulled pork(which had a couple big chunks of fat in it — yuck) sandwich with fries. My husband got the pulled pork platter with fries and beans(even though he had asked for fries and broccoli). He said it was okay. The 4 different kinds of barbecue sauce(all unlabeled, so we didn’t know what types/flavors) were in sticky bottles that grossed me out enough to not use them. Our kids got kids meals — one chicken finger and one mac and cheese, both with apple sauce. I assumed the apple sauce would be homemade but it came in a pouch. Weird. I didn’t expect this place to be a 5-star restaurant or anything, but we just wanted a kid-friendly easy lunch, and it was just gross. I won’t be going back there.

For a Saturday evening they were lacking staff, it took over an hour to get our food. The food was average. The total time we were there was two hours. The ladies room needed attention, paper towels dispenser not working, to sink and toilet that was out of order. It seems like the owners and management need you pay attention too details from adequate staffing to restrooms. It was a poor experience.

I had a terrible experience this last time I went. I have been a few times to this location. The service was very good, but the food was pretty awful. I ordered the brisket dinner. I understand that brisket can sometimes be a little fatty, but this was ridiculous. It was big blobs of fat with little strips of meat. Fortunately, my server had it removed from the bill for me. I don’t understand why the kitchen would even try serving that hot mess on a plate. Just say that there was not enough left to serve. I would rather substitute my meal than be charged $ 16.95 for a plate of fat.

We went there Saturday early evening for dinner and honestly it was nothing extra special. And believe me I know bbq. The staff was excellent but other than that the food was average. I got the ribs and wings and the wife got brisket and wings. It was just ok. I don’t understand why they don’t cut the ribs? Personally I like to see a smoke ring. I understand the franchise thing but if it were closer we would have went to Tennessee bbq. More for the $$. Especially better sides.

We were in the area and looking to eat dinner, other reviews didn’t seem too terrible. First comment from my sister-in-law is on the lack of cleanliness… Food ground into the floor, crumbs around the table. Service was fair, but she’d obviously gone on a smoke break mid way through our time there and it was a very obvious and gross odor to us non-smokers. Waiter asked about drinks, I asked about lemonade and whether it had lemons, not having been through the menu yet. No, she said, it’s minute maid. Later I saw in the menu that actual lemonade was listed. Oh well. Can’t drink booze right now, so limited from that part of the menu. I like to do a real lemonade or a milkshake instead. Nachos w chicken app, was fine but seemed like had been sitting for a while as the cheese was no longer melted, and nothing on the plate was warm. The plate was neither warm. Plus I found a chicken bone. Yuck. The toppings were not at all generous, the salsa much like chopped tomatoes alone without spice or flavor. Not worth eating but we were hungry. I ordered a soup for my toddler who loves soup, it was pretty terrible in flavor to where we didn’t take the remainder home, and we are big food leftover savers. It also came out barely lukewarm, unsure if was on purpose but flavor suffered. Was broccoli cheese soup, usually one of the kid’s favorite. She ate very little. I got a salad for myself, low expectations for it as this is a rib/BBQ place. Yup, pretty bad. Plus more chicken bones found. The peppercorn ranch quite vinegary, nowhere near a homemade/fresh/tasty dressing. They did comp the salad due to the bones. Hubs got ribs and brisket, ribs he said were good. Brisket no flavor. He likes sauces so tried them all but didn’t express that any were especially good. Hey, at least we didn’t actually choke on any bones or get sick. Staff friendly, somewhat available.

My mother and I visited Smokey Bones tonight for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Let me preface this by saying, I’m not a fan of bbq sauce, but I like the flavor when food has been smoked. We started out with an appetizer of «Pretzel Bones», thick, warm, pub style pretzel sticks topped with sea salt, and served with a honey mustard dipping sauce. Yummy. I ordered a combo plate with smoked turkey, and pulled pork(no sauce). For my sides, I chose mashed potatoes, and warm cinnamon apples. My mother got a ½ pound hamburger with onion strings on top, with french fries, and also opted for the cinnamon apples. The turkey and pulled pork had exactly the flavor I was looking for, the potatoes were soft and my mother said her burger was cooked just that way she wanted it. We both agreed the apples had just the right amount of cinnamon. The total bill came to $ 42, which may seem high to some, but we rarely eat out, so it was a nice treat. The hostess, and wait staff were friendly and attentive. Might be a little pricey, but to me it was worth it.

I usually come in once a week for a few beers and the smoked wings at the bar. The girls working are usually very friendly, Hunter is the best! Last week I went in and couldn’t get a seat at the bar, so I was stuck at a high top. The waitress was alright, a bit slow with service. The kitchen really screwed up the wings(first time I’ve experienced that) she offered to box them up for me and get a new order. I passed on taking them, as they were drenched in sauce(supposed to be dry rub wings with a drizzle of glaze), but the second batch were great, nice and crispy. She brought the sauce on the side, which I may just stick to that in the future.

Cheap beer brings you in, but overpriced food food and poor service will keep you from coming back. Got the loaded fries as the app, they were good but disapointing. There were more than enough toppings but the serving size of the fries was meager to say the least. Fries are really cheap it wouldnt hurt to beef it up. Friendlies loaded waffle fries put them to shame. The main course was 11 $ wings for my girl and st louis style ribs with pulled pork cole slaw and mashed tots with gravy. The wings were of great consistency, crunchy and not too much sauce. However at 8 wings for $ 11 buf wild wings would have been a better choice especially for the variety of sauce. The ribs and pulled pork(they were out of brisket at 9 pm) with sides of cole slaw and mashed tots with gravy looked disapointing. Each serving unsatisfyingly small. The plate brought out looked empty and hobestly sad. Tasted ok but had the vibe of lack of effort. The topper was the service, no where to be found, never asking for more water or drinks. There is a tablet on the tables to supposedly aid in gettig your server or another drink. All it did was shine a terrible light in your face. She didnt respond and i didnt get my ordered beer. Ended up putting it on the floor so i didbt have to stare at the screen and blinking red light for the rest of the night. Overall, i will never go back for even a beer. Yea 3.75 for 22 oz is good but it tastses like a watered down rootbeer. Rather pay 5 for coors. And the table light was blinding. I unscrewed it so it wouldnt burn our retinas for the duration.

If you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. This is the best chain restaurant for BBQ. You can’t go wrong with the tasty and unique appetizer options. i had a burger and it tasted great, the ribs were a little dry though.

Tuesday nights beer pong, dj, the margaritas, beer 5 off coupons, fried pickles, nachos, amazing flavor chicken wings. This place is underrated. Its way better than buffalo wild wings & hooters. The bartenders are constantly moving making drinks all night, be patient!!!

Very good food and service. I’m a big fan of steak and loved this place! If you like steak and grilled food, you’ll most likely like this place. I had petite sirloin topped with garlic butter sauce with a side of steamed broccoli. My sister had a combo of smoked turkey breast and Texas-style beef brisket. The turkey was good, but a bit salty. The beef was somewhat dry. She had a side of mashed potatoes with gravy which was very good.
